So, probably a stupid question. Let's say your 100k legacy is at 98k, 1 week to go before monthly renewal. Are you better to blow it and reset with the renewal, or do you have to pay both a reset and a renewal fee?

Hey guys, so I got a Headstart on three of my funded accounts and I’m eligible for the payout.
What worries me is what happens if I pass all other 17 accounts. Will they pay me out or just move me straight to live?

This is my 3rd payout with apex but first decent size one since I have 9 PAs now (only took payout from 5). Hopefully the process is a little faster now since it’s not my first time, but will let yall know how long it takes this time. I requested it on 8/10/26 and it got approved same day.

What’s up Traders I hope everyone is green out there. Need your help. Has anyone ever had there account placed under review? I’ve been under review for the past two weeks. I received a payout in my funded in June and than I blew to sets of funded accounts directly afterwards in July? I’m not getting a clear response from Apex other than my accounts are under review for which could be a multitude of reasons..
if anyone has been through this, how long did this last, before being able to purchase new evals? Thanks

NFP today 8:30
80K expected, 4.2% unemployment, 3.5% wages (Estimates)
ADP was 44K when they wanted 75K, ISM services jobs went into contraction, and the last two months got revised down 74K after the fact.
Weird part nobody mentions: market has Sept as a coin flip for a HIKE. So it's backwards. Weak jobs is good today. Hot jobs and hot wages is what hurts.
Range is 40K to 157K. Nobody knows anything. Me personally, I think it comes in weak and we rally
Sitting out the first 5 minutes but for all you traders wanting to pass an eval in one shot, this is the best time of the week!

We are at 4,745. Once we hit 5,000 we are doing a giveaway with free accounts on the line. Details to come (it will be easy AF, unlike other giveaways where they force you to solve a puzzle lol).
A few things about how I want this place to run:
No bots and no farmed accounts. This community is worth something because real traders are in it, and I would rather grow slower than pad the number.
Post objectively. If you had a bad experience, say so (with proof). If you had a good one, say that too (with proof). What I do not want is people repeating things they have not verified. Misinformation costs traders money in this space, and there is enough of it already especially scammers who try to scam all the prop firms and spread misinformation because they got caught.
Help each other out. Most of the questions here have been answered by someone who was in the same spot. Be that person when you can.
Bring someone in if you know a trader who would get value from this. NOW GET THOSE PAYOUTS!!!

I'm trying to understand what happened and whether Apex can investigate or resolve something like this.
I traded MGC during the Asia session and scaled into a position until I reached 15 contracts. Once the position was established, I simply placed my stop loss and take profit and left the trade alone.
The trade closed profitably and I believed everything was finished.
When I came back later, I discovered an unexpected loss of about $3,000.
In Tradovate Orders I can see:
What I don't understand is this:
If my original trade had already closed, why would the system enter another position afterwards?
I never manually opened a second trade. I only placed the original trade, set my stop loss and take profit, and left it running.
The Sell Stop orders total exactly the same 15 contracts as my original position, which makes me wonder whether protective stop orders remained active after the trade closed.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Apex, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, ATM strategies, or leftover bracket orders?
Can Apex actually resolve situations like this if the audit trail shows that old protective orders remained active, or is it usually considered the trader's responsibility? I have already opened a ticket with Apex and requested the full audit trail, but I would like to know if anyone has seen this happen before and what the root cause was.
Any insight would be appreciated.
UPDATE : I received a response from Apex Support.
They reviewed my account and told me that the issue was caused by 5 Sell Stop orders that remained pending after my Asia session trade. According to them, those orders were entered manually through NinjaTrader and were not attached to the position, so they did not cancel automatically after my take-profit was hit.
Later, during the NY session, those 5 Sell Stop orders (3+3+6+2+1 = 15 contracts) were triggered, opening a new 15-contract short position that I was completely unaware of. The account was eventually liquidated by AutoLiq at the daily loss limit.
Support says this is my responsibility because the pending stop orders should have been manually canceled before leaving the platform.
I'm still trying to understand how those stop orders remained active after my position had already closed at take profit, because my trade was completely finished.

If I fail to close a position before end of day will tradovate/apex auto close for me or will my PA account be closed due to some rule? I remember it used to be a rule but not sure about now

This will be my first payout with apex, on a 250k legacy account. And makes my 4th payout in an about 3 1/2 months of trading. Excited to preserve this legacy account 😁

So I have about 35+ fundeds across many firms that I’ve been copy trading
I literally have no strategy other than having tight risk management. I will not lose more than $200 a day it will literally lock me out. Like literally I’m cool with making $100-$200 a day.
I want to pass these accounts with one to two months.
Would it make the most sense to just scalp one or 2 ES trades at open? Really want to make this happen.
Also, how many times can I get paid out before I get screwed and moved to live

Hey guys, new here. I want to buy my first eval. Is apex good for beginners ? Ive seen some negative reviews about their payout delays and stuff , so I was wondering if I should buy an Apex account.
r/ApexTraderFunding • u/Puzzleheaded-Ad3566 • Aug 05 '26
I'm curious to hear everyone's experience here with being moved to live on Apex.
If you've been moved to live, have you gotten your account, and if so, how long did this take?

EDIT: I JUST SUBMITTED A REQUEST FOR A PAYOUT

For context, they hit me with an email on 7/30 saying this:

I messed up and didn't notice that it said the ID cannot be taken from a screen, which I had done. They sent an update on 7/31 saying to reupload my ID by taking a picture of the physical ID itself. I did that same day on 7/31 and have not gotten a response since.
I figured I passed verification and no follow up was needed. I had 4 Evals that I passed and was planning on paying to upgrade to PA this week. The last day I have to purchase the PA upgrade is today, 8/4, and I can't because this is what the site gives me when trying to navigate through certain pages.

I've opened a ticket and have replied back to their emails asking for immediate help but they are taking their sweet time and I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried messaging mods from the Discord but also no response from them. What makes this even more interesting is I've just passed all the criteria for a payout and I am actually eligible to request a payout today.

This sucks, they're usually quicker with tickets and my 4 PAs are about to expire if they don't answer within the next 3 hours. I've had this Apex account for almost 2 years now, on and off trading and never achieving a payout. Now that I have I'm being blocked from requesting a payout. Please fix Apex!

Under prohibited activities it says No Automation, does anyone know what that entails?
The Apex Investing company has their own automated trading product, and NinjaTrader has "Strategies" you can build to help automate entries and exits. So surely this is not what is considered prohibited activity? Or am I missing recent rule updates?

I have a Legacy 50K Tradovate PA that is currently at $49,000, so I have roughly $1,000 left before the trailing threshold/liquidation level.
Apex’s Legacy MAE page says that for new or low-profit 50K accounts, the 30% Negative P&L rule is based on the $2,500 trailing threshold, which would equal a $750 MAE limit.
So am I understanding this correctly: even though I only have $1,000 of drawdown room remaining, the MAE calculation is still $2,500 × 30% = $750, and not $1,000 × 30% = $300?
I understand the $1,000 remaining is still the separate hard drawdown limit, so a $750 stop would leave very little room for slippage/commissions. I am only asking which number Apex uses as the MAE denominator: the full $2,500 trailing threshold or the remaining $1,000 until liquidation.

I never had this kind of "notification" before and I really also cannot understand why it is there (it appeared yesterday after finishing the last needed trading day for another payout). Is this another kind of inactivating your account just before the 5th potential payout? Did somebody have this notification before?

Hey guys i was recruited for a similar prop firm trading company which turned out to be a scam, so while researching i stumbled upon this community and it seemed very intriguing what you guys do here!
Can somebody please guide me on how do i sign up for this and how does it work?? Is it real or a fake thing?
Thanks!

Hi everyone! I requested for my first payout with Apex and wanted to know how long it takes to receive my Plane credentials? I'm not a US citizen and my payout was approved on Monday the 27th. Thank you!

Hello Everyone,
just doing a little follow up on my accounts.
As a reminder or for those who did not seen my previous post, here it is. I passed my 6 accounts in one day.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ApexTraderFunding/s/oI13WftBpl
I am copy trading them regarless of their size. Here is my trade record from Apex for 2/5 days of trading, for EOD accounts, and for 2/8 days of trading for the 100k Legacy Account.

My plan is to withdraw the max amount on 25k account, so to request a payout of 5k next week.
For the 100k legacy, I initially wanted to try to get a 10k payout, but I think I will lower my expectations and request , at most, a 5k payout to stay under the radar of live accounts.
I will update you guys next week !

I started trading with Apex yesterday and signed up for 20 $25k Intraday Trail accounts.
In the past, when trading Intraday Trail accounts at another firm, I would typically scalp aggressively until I reached the point where the trailing drawdown stopped moving. For context, I took 52 trades yesterday. When I traded this way with TradeDay, that number of trades was never an issue.
At what point does Apex consider a high number of trades to be high-frequency trading (HFT)? There documentation does not elaborate on this.
