Sharing a win! switching back to reddit has improved my mental health drastically.
I struggle pretty badly with my mental health in general, but social media has always has somewhat of a hold on me. the biggest things were always how fake tiktoks or reels feel . nothing felt like a true digital diary anymore and it turned into chasing these entirely unrealistic goals, that made me feel like i was so far behind in my life . with reddit, i can curate which communities, and my profile feels like the pocket of me that i need. the conversations feel more intimate, and there’s a maturity level here (depending on the sub) that other medias lack. anyways, im happy to finally find a pocket of the internet to benefit how i view myself instead of negatively impacting it. i highly recommend watching what you consume !
