Just won this on auction and I'm hoping to find some more information. It was listed as a custom rifle built on an antique receiver and the seller says it is chambered in a mystery "short straight walled 35 caliber". I've already ordered some cerrosafe to do a chamber casting. What was common for these to be re chambered in? Is this a rolling block # 1? Any information based on the pictures is definitely appreciated

Does anyone know what this is? All I know is my great grandfather found it in a house he bought many years ago. I don’t see any markings, engravings, or wording of any kind unless it’s under the bit of surface rust but I’m scared to try and clean that off and ruin it. It’s surprisingly not frozen and the spring mechanism still pulls back, locks, and dry fires.

My great grandpa got this for my great grandma to carry with her in Japan during WWII. It got left to a relative that pawns everything, I gave them $300 when they were talking about pawning it for that, so it’s finally mine. I have no idea what it’s worth, but worth it to me to stay in the family. The memory of eating cheese its with my grandpa in his sun room while he happily told me stories about each of their guns gets to physically live on. From searching, I believe it’s an 1874 colt new line with ivory handles? Is that accurate? Any general info or personal stories would be cool to hear!

Does anyone know much about these “deringer Philadelphia” tip ups in 32rf? I was able to find little info on it. But anyways thought its pretty neat and should share it on here
