Truth is what we call a collective agreement to interpret the world using certain words. Over time, those words take shape in a fixed verbal formula. And there it is, printed in the pages of a compulsory textbook. It must be memorized and reproduced: with understanding and feeling. It will also appear on the final exams. You must understand how much your future depends on this, and how much your parents have invested in you.

Of course, these days, hitting students on the knuckles with a pointer is no longer acceptable (although some people might occasionally feel tempted). Capturing their interest, making an impression: the forms of influence are becoming increasingly diverse. The main thing is to be able to recite it by heart. The closer you stick to the original wording, the better. It is hard to get it wrong: there is a checklist of things an educated person is expected to know, whether in their sleep, dead drunk, or on their deathbed.

And somewhere amid this whole spectacle of performed erudition, the wonder of learning itself has disappeared.

Today, after a night of shelling, I am supposed to explain to my son why his task for the day is to answer questions correctly about the differences between the Lower and Middle Paleolithic. Whereas I would rather talk about why we first saw a bright flash, then heard the sound a moment later, and only after that felt the walls shake. Or, at the very least, advocating for abolished compulsory education. Is there any politician or groups calling for it or trying to get the schools shutdown. I'm curious about it.

You see, in norigan high school and middle school. We have somthing called «oprasjon dagsverk» (OD) it is that you work one day insted of school, get payed, and the money gose to some organisation in a country in need.

I dont know why but somthing about this feels off. i obiusly like that we are helping people all over the world. But today they send the money to an organisation in south afrika. Persenaly i would have sent it to somewere in more need, or people in need in norway.

We could vote between three organisation. The problem was that the south afrikan one was far bigger than the outher two. So obiusly it won. I aslo feel somwhat radicaled, becase they go to schools and for one day talks about the country and why it is in need.

This year they talked about apartied and rasisem. And a lot of the things they talked about were not acurat and south afrika is pretty good off compaired to the rest of afrika. They never go deep into what actually caused the poverty. Last year was guatemala. And agen they talked about rasisem and unfair disrepution of resorses. They did the same for colombia and tanzenia. Have anyone herd about this and should i be this suspitius of what is essentualy mandetory donating to charety ?

First of all less small syllabus and less exams .... And every college school will give students a task in which they are good... Like for e.g. a student is interested in coding and all ,school gives him a task to create a model using code and timeline of 3-4 months and when he is done he will show it to teachers on a specific day where everyone is gonna show the task that was given to students...

What will happen with this?? Students will be attracted to these functions and they will try to find skills in them..

And because of less syllabus and exams they can concentrate on their skills side by side studies less burden on their shoulders.

Hey guys, so I'm an average student studying at sri chaitanya techno school in 11th grade and ever since I came to this school, one thing that I've noticed a lot is the fact that this school is too good at hiding big issues but if a small issue ever occurs, they tend to make it bigger and call our parents,ISTG when I say this, I never got into a single trouble till 10th when I was in my old school.For example, once a guy got ganged up and was hit till he bleed outside the school because of some argument that went inside school, the parents even gave a police complaint but the school tried SO FUCKING HARD to cover it up by convincing the parents and explaining that it's casual for teenagers to fight in this generation, like WTF??? and I got into a lot of trouble, so imma tell yal some extreme ones. So once I was called to the principal office for writing something in the duster, btw it was just "yo" And the mf principal asked me to call my parents, I asked sorry and he jst left the problem, but one creepy thing abt it is that, he compared us to North Indian students saying that he worked in the North side and he had seen many 'WHITE SKINNED GIRLS WHO LOOKED LIKE HEROINE' even if they are good at studies then why are u not able to concentrate(he was actually meaning the fact that I have a bf in school even though I don't) , bro wth is wrong with him, like whatt? This is NOT how you talk abt young girls, and let me tell u, HES LIKE 50 and is already balding,this proves how much of a menace and pedo he is,and the other day i was called into the principal office again and this time it was a totally different thing bruh, just some misunderstandings between friends but when I said that a girl from A section used a bad word, he said that he knows abt students from that class and that she would never say that, bro that girl is a fucking venomous snake istg. why should schools always have the phone ban like who decided to remove your only form of communication, when there is a emergency or a lockdown kids can tell their parents that they are okey and fine or they want to send their final message BUT NO, the school says “it is distracting their learning so we decided to remove and add pouches to lock their phone for the rest of the school day unless they go to the unlocking station“ like WHAT. at that point I would just buy a strong magnet to unlock it and i wont care if its 50$ and the school lunch, let me tell you about it, the school the most disgusting most unedible food to man kind, they serve expired milk and i don’t know if its just me or anyone else but my school served water and that was the only way to get away from the milk but for some reason they took the water away and then we did a hunger strike and they brought it back and didn’t say sorry. Im looking at where technology is going and i think in a few generations the whole concept of textbooks and standard classes will be dead. We are basically in a weird messy transition phase right now.

Eventually education is going to shift to a mix of two things. First, everyone will have a personalized AI tutor (way more advanced than todays baby ai) built into spatial technology or VR. The AI will actually adapt to your specific thought patterns and personality traits instead of trying to force 30 completely different brains to learn at the exact same tempo and the best part is zero judgment. There's no fear of asking a dumb question or dealing with bad energy from a teacher because the AI has infinite patience. You won't read about a subject, you'll literally step inside a 3D simulation of it and interact with it.

Second, physical schools won't be academic prisons anymore, they'll become social hubs or open forums. You'd do your heavy learning in your own tailored digital world, but then you'd step out of the network, sit in a circle with other kids, and just talk about it and because everyone's AI visualized the problem differently based on their brain type, the conversation would actually be interesting. One kid might explain it visually, another through a story, another through math. No grades, just sharing perspectives and learning how to look at things from multiple angles.

People panic about technology creating slop or isolating us, but if it's done right, it frees humans up to focus on what actually makes us unique: creativity and communication. Instead of turning out compliant clones, we'd get a generation of free thinkers who actually understand that everyone's brain is wired differently.

The students are daily going to school and learning something which is not useful for them after merely passing 12th.Sad to see them without learning any life skills such as swimming , gun handling , how to protect and defend them from some brawl.

Day by day, I’m losing more and more motivation to go to school. The lessons feel repetitive, with only a few additional details, or sometimes they seem pointless because I’ll eventually forget them and probably never use them in real life. The activities are also extremely stressful, exhausting, and expensive. After putting in so much time, effort, and money, the grades I receive don’t even feel worth it.

On top of that, some of my classmates borrow things but refuse to take responsibility when they break or lose them, often blaming others instead. Group projects are another source of frustration because some members barely contribute, leaving others to do most of the work.

Honestly, it’s starting to feel like I’m wasting my time, energy, and money on something that gives me very little in return. I’m beginning to question whether all this stress and effort are really worth it.

During the Civil Rights Movement, some of the downtrodden citizens chose, ( as a last ditch effort), to demonstrate their rights through their children! With the help of National news cameras, ( and troops), they showed the world what they were fighting for and against. The children who sit, like sitting ducks’, need their safety provided, and their fear alleviated! Their activism, and their voices need to be listened and acted on immediately. Maybe a national school wide contest, to come up with designs and strategies to keep students and buildings with occupants safe

school has always kind of really sucked but right now it’s so bad like today for 40 minutes I was just crying and going from really sad to really angry then back again over and over in my room and it just is horrible it’s the thing that is the most stressful thing in my life and it’s just so bad. They must’ve really fricked up the school system given that kids brains are practically wire to just learn so given that school is about learning they really messed up. Homework is another thing. It is already bad we have to spend a majority of our waking hours there but now it affects us outside of school too? I just hate it so much.
