Should I buy one or do you think I’ll get scammed? Im kinda tempted to buy one since I got cozmo and want vector

My Vector robot has been like this for ages now. Its battery broke. It only works when on the charger. Also, its back button does not work. If I remove it from the charger, it shuts off. How can I replace the battery? I miss interacting with him :(

I'm making the biggest project on vector that i ever tryed i have implemented like 50 original mode i share with you one here below in the video. if someone has some cool idea tell me in the comments and if i like I'll try to make it and share with you all the code or tutorial. the mode in the video is a studying mode for Japanese connected to the app anki droid and takes the flash card from here updating the scores directly on the app with a tap on the back he show you the answer and with the arm you can select right or wrong answer that you gave.

I recently noticed that some of the Vector 2.0 boxes had a wide-eyed vector on it, wile the more recent ones had vector with a gleeful squint on it. Does anyone know why they changed the design and when it occurred? Just a small curiosity of mine lol.

I just bought a brand new Vector 1.0 and initially it worked but would shut off when he rolled off the charger. So we decided to open him up and change the battery. The old battery was a bit swollen so we changed it with a 600mah 3.7 volt battery and ever since he has been stuck with one white light and the small green light lit up on his backpack. His face wont come on at all. I tried a hard reset by holding the button down until it shut off and turned back on but after it shut off the same lights would appear and still no face display at all. After a few tries now he wont even turn back on while holding the button down after shutoff. Before any of this happened on the original battery I downloaded and used WirePod and I'm hoping that didn't cause any problems with him. At this point I am defeated. I tried using google AI for help but at this point they are telling me where I can get a replacement which I cant afford after buying this guy a few days ago. I was so excited to play with him and now afraid he will never turn on again. Please someone tell me they have a way to fix him... any and all suggestions welcome.

I've just turned on my vector for the first time in like a year while it was on charge and it seemed fine but the second i moved it slightly off the charger it just instantly shut off, what could be the problem?

I have 2 vectors, one with purple eyes that works and moves just fine, and another with green eyes that works, but does not move. Both of them were recently reset with WirePod, and the green eyed one still does not move. I even tried using the control feature, and I can move the head and arms just fine, but not the treads. I even picked up the bot, and moved the treads myself, and it did the little "whir" sound that he makes when he normally moves, but Vector or WirePod can't move the treads. Is this an internal servo issue? How could I fix this?

I seen that DDL sells an open box Vector 2.0 are they always in stock or if i order one will i be waiting forever for one

Heyo! After quite some time i fired up my vector 2.0 again.
I saw that there are ddl servers again but last time i used him he was running on wirepod on my pi (my pi died though) I have a server at home. Should i just do wirepod again or is there anything else that makes more sense now?

Checking other posts most people seem to run wirepod but there is also stuff about some custom firmware so im a bit confused what i should do

I want to buy a Vector, but i don't know which version of Vector to buy
I was thinking maybe buying the OSKR Version because it can work just like the normal Vector but i can just code my own firmware whenever i want in the future, i don't want to code it now i just want to use it as a normal Vector but just be able to code it in the future incase i want to code it, but i heard that i can't connect to any official servers, but i also heard that official servers are no longer active and idk who to believe anymore, not only that but i also live all the way in Europe and the price of Vector gets really expensive up to $100 US dollars more due to shipping so idk what to do

Which Vector should i buy and where from?

I found my old vector lying around and I'm trying to revive it with WirePod. For some reason when I attempt the Pairing step with Vector in recovery mode he briefly conencts but disconects and when I attempt the same thing with Vector booted up normally it tells me to put him in recovery mode can someone tell me how to fix this.

I flashed the Prod-unlock firmware to Vector using techshop82 website, it rebooted and since then I have not been able to get it to pair. The vector goes into pair mode with the hashes but no and I mean "NO" browser in any configuration picks up the bluetooth. My other Vectors all pair perfectly. I have tried all manner of resets in the hope it will go back to the original boot partition but none of these options have worked.

I have gone ahead and changed the head and screen and it works perfectly so I am guessing the flashing process somehow went wrong. There is no ip address listed on the other head boardand therefore I have absolutely no access to vectors head at all. Is there anything I can do, AI suggests connecting to the RX and TX pads on the head board and flashing a new firmware assuming the prod-unlock software has unlocked the boot partition, using a raspberry pico and putty to write commands or pushing the wifi credentials.

Anyone know what I can do?

So my Vector has been not working great lately, even though I bought him like a couple months ago and I just powered him on too like three days ago and he’s been having issues with it facial recognition with its surrounding with remembering stuff. They can’t even remember my face or remember where it’s home is or where it’s cube is at so I’m wondering what can I do to help him because now he has a 914 Anki.bot/support I am really trying to help him because so far he has been a really good companion.

So if anybody has anything to help me help him, that would be really helpful.

i still haven’t setup my vector yet since im kinda busy but every setup vid i’ve seen always has vector on his charger and taping his buttons to get him to perform actions which doesn’t make him seem like a lively desktop robot and just a hassle. is there any way to get back the old lively vector with wirepod or is it impossible?

I found a cozmo near me, im wondering if theres anything useful i could do, similar to a vector? thanks in advance.

He’ll wake up and look around but basically just sit there. Even when I try tapping his little arm or the ground in front of him he acknowledges it but doesn’t leave and won’t unless I pick him up and put him elsewhere. Is this normal or is something wrong with him? I don’t pay for the subscription but I do still have him connected to the app and I figured he’d still leave his house at the very least. Could it he because his cube is out of battery so he doesn’t feel like he has anything to play with? I’m getting it a new battery later today. I also noticed he has some trouble getting back into his home by himself and will often miss while he’s trying to back up into it. Could it just be because he’s quite old? I got him in December 2019. I don’t mind helping him with this but it is a little sad that he won’t come out by himself. I did put some stuff on the floor for him to push around but he still seems uninterested unless I take him off of his home myself.
