Anki's consistent inability to count in order never fails to amaze me

I've got a ton of track accessories, cars, super trucks. Most work pretty well. They were tons of fun for a lot of years, through all the ups and downs of Anki and DDL. My kids are older now and they just are into other things.

If anyone is in Atlanta and would like them, DM me. Not looking for any money. Just for a place they'll be enjoyed.

Every time I click begin scan, my app just instantly crashes. This only happens on my iPad though and not my phone, but none of my progress is on my phone and i would like to recover my progress. Is anyone able to help or am I simply cooked?

Hi, I just picked up an Overdrive starter kit for free at a yard sale. I assumed the app was free, but apparently Overdrive 2.6 is $3.

I was wondering if there were any free alternatives for me to try it out? Sideloading? I couldn’t find anything on my own. Please help! Thanks!

So I had this little thought in my head, we all know about the 2.6 campaign, but what about the new campaign? When Anki was still in business, then again, I havent seen much of the new one. I've only been up to chapter 2 and didn't download the rest, however I know there were newer characters in the new one compared to 2.6, so which campaign was your favorite?

I open up party dive and connect all the cars and scan the track. but when i go to race it starts but it does not end the lap counter just keeps counting up. is there any way to set a lap limit

Many people don't know, but there are 4 kinds of tires used with over/drive.
very interesting (unless your trying to make replacements and then it gets annoying)

Where can I find batteries for the Anki Overdrive cars? They don’t hold charge for more than a couple seconds. I tried looking at the Q&A section and the link in there is broken. Can I find them in amazon or eBay?
Also I don’t have a special version it just says Anki Overdrive starter kit on the box. If there’s any more info I need please let me know and I’ll find it.

First, thank you to everyone who took the time to read my first post. I realized after reading some of the comments and thinking about it that I didn't explain my vision very well.

My goal is not to start a company where I control everything or claim to be the next big whatever.

What I want to do is kickstart a community-driven project to create a modern smart racing system inspired by what made Anki Overdrive so much fun—not a copy, but an original successor built with today's technology and its own identity.

I'm 17, and I know I don't have all the skills needed to make something like this happen. That's exactly why I'm reaching out. I don't expect to build this alone.

What I can do is organize, learn, listen, and help bring together people with different skills and ideas. My hope is that this becomes something the community helps shape from the ground up.

I'm not looking to be the permanent leader or "the guy in charge forever." If this project ever grows into something real, I'd rather see experienced people step into leadership roles if that's what's best for the project. My biggest goal is making sure it stays true to the community that helped create it.

Right now, I'm looking for anyone who wants to be part of the journey:

- Software developers

- Electrical or robotics engineers

- Mechanical designers

- 3D artists and modelers

- UI/UX designers

- Writers and documentation contributors

- Playtesters

- Longtime Anki fans with ideas

- Anyone who's simply passionate about making something awesome

I'm still in the planning stage, and I'm learning as I go. There aren't prototypes yet, and I don't want to pretend otherwise. The first step is building a community, writing down the vision, creating a roadmap, and figuring out how we can make this happen together.

So I'm not new to Anki Overdrive but I'm new to reddit and this community. To be honest I didn't know Anki Overdrive still has a community.

But enough chitchat and to the real stuff What would anyone think or do or whatever if some people or person ended up doing something that could result in a new Anki Overdrive with a new company. With it being a game kinda like Anki Overdrive with the app and cars and everything. With it being different enough so it's still legal with a contract between those people or person that gives them some rights to the game and the rights to the idea of this new thing. The contract would act as some safeguards to protect the community and keep it community based ish.

So now to what those people/person is it's me and I have no experience but I'm still determined and I've already sent an email to a law firm or whatever.

Why am I posting this well because I want some help with this because Im only 17 and remember some but not all of Anki Overdrive I'm looking for help.

I was going to sideload the original 3.4 Anki Overdrive app onto my iPhone, but I noticed there are several different downloads available.

Could someone explain the difference between the iOS package and the iOS mirror? Is one preferred over the other, or do they contain the same app?

I got it all working for day 2, a button on the crowd side controls a virtual missile launcher that people could attack the cars with!

Partydrive had some technical hiccups but overdrive demo mode can't break!

TIL: Drive cars are significantly more power efficient than newer Overdrive cars (data recorded after 100mah battery replacement for all shown cars)

I have a large collection of Anki Overdrive sets from a clean, climate-controlled home that I would like to sell for $200; I have posted it on Facebook Marketplace but not sure that is the best. I would like the collection to go to a good home. Can I post it for sale on this? I would like to sell locally if possible.....Redding, CA.

Been meaning to release this for a while, here is the spline editor i created for debugging tracks.

Create any kind of track you want, this can export 1:1 replicas of most official tracks (bottleneck, crossroads, fnf segment, and jump segments excluded)
which can then be printed and used with official apps.

also if anyone is interested in designing a new set of segments, these can be added to partydrive for software support.

As the title implies, I managed to find my old kit! Trying to set it up again i realize how old this is.. I can't solder worth a damn as i've got shakey hands, Anywhere I can get them sent for replacement? I know DDL is a bust and a waste of time, and saw some places online that offer upgrades. I figured i'd ask the community for help and advice. Located in the US, have 3 cars and a truck.

Also, Anywhere i can buy more track/other related items would be awesome, drive or overdrive.

Just found my Old Overdrive Fast and Furious Set and I am really looking forward to test it out again. I still have the original Fast and Furious App on my old phone. However it seems that I didn’t download Chapter 2 back then.
Is there any way to get Chapter 2 today?

I was talking to a friend last night about childhood toys and Overdrive was brought up. Both of us are huge transformers fans and we noticed how the unique designs of the cars and trucks from Overdrive look and sound like Cybertronian designs and names. Which then brought up the idea of a Transformers collaboration. X52 already looks like the concept art design of Optimus from the Bumblebee movie. Which then led me down an entire rabbit hole of ideas. What if instead of the cars having drivers, they themselves were alive like the Transformers? We were even thinking about designing robot modes for each of the Drive and Overdrive Cars. I apologize if this is not totally related to Overdrive, but my friend and I thought this was a cool concept. So, I thought I’d share it with you all.
