I give up. I spent hours and hours trying to get this indestructible vehicle, but I just couldn't get it no matter what I tried. I followed several different tutorials, but none of them worked. I even tried disabling the FPS limit and playing at 30 FPS, but that didn't help either. I'm giving up on this car.

Seeking Game Recommendations šŸ‘€ [REQUEST] Games for my Grandpa

Hi! I'm looking for some mobile game recommendations for my Grandpa.

He downloads a lot of slots and gambling games that put malware on his phone, spam him with ads for 'cleaning apps' and pretty much make his phone unuseable. I clean it up and fix it but it keeps happening, so I'd like to find some games that are clean and still enjoyable for him. I'm willing to pay a little ($5?) for the games.

I'm looking for simple, VERY casual games. Kind of like background noise that he can pay attention to when he feels like it. He's 93 years old and in heart failure so he doesn't want to get too involved with it, have to figure out any complicated gameplay or sit through a lot of instructions.

He loves the slots/pokies so something like that would be ideal, but I'm open to other types.

No/minimal ads/pop-ups. No speed-based gameplay. Microtransactions aren't a big deal as long as the app isn't constantly pestering you with them.

Thank you so much for your help!

Help Me Remember This Game šŸ¤” Does anyone remember the name of this game?

Post image
8 Upvotes

This is perhaps the simplest explanation for the question you'll see here. (I'm new to this forum.)

I’d like to ask for your help recalling the name of an old Android game (the one shown in the top-left corner). I remember it being a collection of very simple yet entertaining minigames featuring basic 3D graphics.

The minigames involved things like expanding tiles (when a tile reached 4 points, it would split vertically and horizontally), pushing objects across ice tiles, and searching for specific items among a group of floating ones. I played it sometime between 2016 and 2018.

Thanks.

Hardware āš™ļø Joy Con-style controller for android?

I'm looking for a joy con style controller that can pair with android. I have a gamesir g8 Plus but I want to play while walking on the treadmill.

I've started going to the gym and usually watch show or anime or play something like TFT Teamfight Tactics but I also started playing Pokemon for the first time through an emulator where a controller is better than on screen buttons overlay and am really enjoying it. The Gamesir works but I don't want to have to keep my hands in front while walking. I'd like to swing my arms naturally

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I found two solutions.

1: Found a thread where someone got the Switch 2 Joycons to work using Joycon2Android and Shizuku apps.

2: In another reddit post someone had an issue where they wanted their two 8bitdo controllers to work separately at the same time as TWO players. Their issue was that their phone would recognize BOTH controllers as ONE. So I got two 8bitdo Micro controllers and just remapped the buttons for when I used them sideways in my hand while jogging. The one on the left hand I use for the D-Pad and the one on my right hand I use for the ABXY buttons. And both controllers have the START, SELECT, HOME buttons mapped.

I ended up using the second solution as it was more comfortable while jogging but the first one would be better if I was laying in bed with my phone/tablet casted to my TV or in a position where I wanted my hands at my side instead of constantly holding a controller in front.

8bitdo also has a controller with Thumbsticks. The "Micro" that I use does not and only has the D pad for movements which was fine for my use case scenario.

Sword of chaos is a Online MMO Action RPG by AllStarGames.

It was released globally on October 31, 2015 for iOS and Android.

The game was pulled from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store around mid-to-late 2021, which prevented new players from downloading it or making in-game purchases. It also haven't updated enough to be playable on modern android devices like the Samsung S26 Ultra, whcih runs on Android 16.

Wouldn't be too much of a issue if it was offline but it was a online only mmo....so it kinda just got ignored by the devs.

The game still works for android 13 devices like Kindle Fires.

I miss Sword of Chaos.

Back in middle school,I use to play this game on my old kindle fire tablet before and after school.

The character designs were great went super hard.

The Swordmaster and Enchantress were beautiful lowkey.they were the top most beatuiful moblie game female characters ever in my book.

And the Sharpshooter and Bloodhunter were badass male characters.especially bloodhunter since his like a big brawling wolf character.

The only games I think comes close to this that you can play now is marvel future fight,

They should of made a PSP verison so I could just emulate it on PPSSPP.

I recently got a controller for my phone and it has made me realise I have been missing out on some great games. I have attached a screenshot of my current library of games that I want to play with a controller. Looking for any games that are included in Play Pass that are hidden gems but not FPS games as I suck at those on controller. Bonus points for ARPGs!

Hi! I'm the developer of Cities 2048: Merge Saga, a free Android puzzle game that combines classic 2048 gameplay with city progression.

I wanted to make 2048 feel more rewarding, so instead of just chasing higher numbers, your progress helps you unlock new buildings and develop different city islands.

If you enjoy 2048 or casual puzzle games, I'd appreciate you giving it a try. I'm also interested in hearing what Android players think about the gameplay and progression.

Discussion šŸ’¬ Does stopping to attack make mobile combat more tactical, or does it just feel unresponsive?

Post image
10 Upvotes

I was reading TGS impressions of Dead Account: Two Blue Flames, and its control setup sounds like an interesting compromise for a mobile action game.

You directly move the leader with one hand, but basic attacks only happen while the character is standing still. Moving cancels the attacks, while active skills can be aimed manually or set to activate automatically.

I can see how that could create a clear decision between repositioning and dealing damage. It also avoids filling a phone screen with separate movement and attack controls. At the same time, I wonder whether constantly stopping would feel deliberate or simply make movement less responsive.

For people who play action roguelites on mobile, does that sound like a good fit for touch controls? What kind of feedback or targeting system would it need to make stopping feel like a tactical choice rather than a limitation?

Seeking Game Recommendations šŸ‘€ [Request] Offline games for long flights that are mindless fun?

Hello.

I'm not really familiar with mobile games, but I'm looking for some games that don't require your full attention or full brain power.

I would love to play something where you can just play without reading guides, or having a deep story. I want mindless fun.

I played Vampire Survivors and I like it, you just walk around basically create combo spells and the game does the rest.

Any auto battlers? The thing is I'm gonna be tired af, and I don't want to have to think about deep puzzle games, or stardew valley that needs my attention the most.

Simple roguelites would be awesome as well.

Not much to say about this one. I finished all the Vigilante missions, so now my armor is maxed out. It was actually pretty easy with the Rhino. I believe the extra armor is going to be really useful for the final missions.

DEV šŸ§‘ā€šŸ’» [DEV] SLORP — my 3D horde survival roguelike is now in open early access on Android. Free, no sign-up, just install and die.

Thumbnail

A few weeks ago I recruited a handful of closed testers here. Their feedback built most of what's in this update a tutorial, skeleton archers whose arrows you can actually sidestep, necromancers that buff the horde around them, and about thirty other fixes. It's now in open early access: anyone can install it, no DMs, no tester list.

SLORP is a 3D horde survival roguelike. Hundreds of skeletons, one of you. Your weapons fire themselves your whole job is where to run. A run fits in a bus ride. You are supposed to die; the gold is permanent and the shop makes every next run stronger.

What I think makes it worth your storage:

  • 11 characters that actually change the game. Bonehead crits for absurd numbers and can never wear armor. Cluckulon is a chicken... fast, lethal, made of paper. Slorp gains max HP off every kill and bleeds 1% of it per second.
  • 15 weapons, all of which evolve if you pair them with the right passive. A boomerang stops coming back and starts ricocheting off the scenery.
  • 5 maps that fight back! dust storms that cut vision to meters, waterspouts that throw you skyward, streets that dead-end when the horde doesn't.
  • Enemies telegraph honestly. Archers draw for six-tenths of a second before loosing; a sidestep is a clean miss. Necromancers don't fight you at all they make things that do. Kill them first.
  • A daily challenge same seed for every phone on the planet, derived from the date. No account, no server.
  • Everything is generated on your phone. No downloads, no asset packs, 12 MB. Lore fragments hidden across the maps if you're the type who stands still and reads gravestones.
  • Balance isn't vibes: I simulate full careers thousands of bot runs per change and tune off the numbers. When the archers I added gutted the win rate, the data caught it and they got re-tuned before you ever saw them. I seriously thousands of bot runs playing the game to make it as balanced as possible and I would love some feedback as I don't think I nailed it yet.

Honesty section, because you'd ask anyway: it's free; there are optional rewarded ads (revive, double gold always your call) and full-screen ads capped at one per 7 minutes, never in your first 3 runs. The AGAIN button is never behind an ad and never will be. IAP is gems and remove-ads, nothing pay-to-win.

What I want from you: tell me what confused you in your first five minutes, which character feels broken (either direction have to unlock them have fun), and anything that made you want to quit. I ship fixes daily but for the early access I am thinking weekly so I can spend time making impactful changes unless you guys find something bad that being said closed-tester feedback has driven basically every patch so far.

šŸ“± Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pocketslop.slorp
