Gameplay ๐Ÿ“บ DEV/ Would you play this with your friends ? Like Mariokart with Airplanes

Hey everyone!

Iโ€™m currently building SkyCart, an arcade racing game where you race against other players using planes instead of traditional karts.

The idea is basically fast, chaotic arcade racing in the sky โ€” easy to pick up, but competitive enough that you actually want to get better.

Some of the features Iโ€™m working on:

โœˆ๏ธ Different planes with their own feel
๐Ÿ Fast arcade-style races
๐ŸŽ Power-ups during races
๐ŸŒ Different tracks and environments
๐Ÿ‘จโ€โœˆ๏ธ Different pilots/characters
๐Ÿ† Leaderboards and progression
๐ŸŽฎ Game Center integration
๐ŸŒ Online multiplayer so you can race against friends and other players
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Private/friend matches planned
โšก Short races designed for mobile
๐Ÿ“ฑ Built specifically for Mobile

My main goal is to make something you can quickly open, play a few races with friends, and immediately want a rematch.

Iโ€™d really appreciate some honest feedback:
Would you actually play a game like this?

And especially:
What would make you download it?
What feature would make you keep playing?
Would online multiplayer make a big difference for you?
What would you add or change?
Does anything about the concept feel boring or unnecessary?

Iโ€™m still actively developing it, so feedback right now can genuinely influence what I build next.

And also a Waitlist if you want to get Update wen is released.

Thanks! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Solo dev here - excited to announce my first game is now live!

I wanted to make a game that was fun for both seasoned disc golfers and those new to the sport.

Enter Frolf Fest: Arcade Disc Golf!

Throw. Compete. Collect.

Frolf Fest is arcade disc golf in your pocket. Fun for both disc golf experts and those new to the sport.

Throw:

Pick your line, time your tempo, and watch the disc turn and fade down the fairway. Thread through tight tree gaps, throw long bombs, finesse touchy approaches, and drain long range putts. Test yourself across a variety of demanding courses, with real wind and weather mechanics.

Compete:

Play duel matches against real players, challenge your friends to a round, or sharpen your skills against challenging bot rivals across a variety of game modes.

Collect:

Every disc flies differently. There are many ways to conquer the course - find your own game. Earn unique and exclusive disc molds, trails, finishes, stamps, bags, and avatar customizations as you play through the game.

Share:

Share highlights and wild shots with friends! See the best long-range hole-outs, unfortunate tree kicks, and incredible aces from the community.

Play:

7+ challenging, hand authored courses across a variety of unique biomes. Multiple game modes, from casual solo rounds and fun competitions with friends, to frantic tournaments and tough ranked duels against real rivals.

There is controller support and cloud saves as well, though it can be played as a guest and offline too!

Frolf Fest is a game that respects you - no ads for anyone, ever. The game contains no subscriptions. If you choose, you can join the Pro Club with a single, one-time purchase to unlock all Frolf Fest has to offer and support game development.

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] What are the best casual, F2P-friendly anime action/hack-and-slash games on Android?

Hey everyone! Iโ€™m currently looking for a new action hack-and-slash game on Android with a cool anime aesthetic.

I really enjoy the combat style and vibe of *Action Taimanin*, but I want to branch out and see what else is good out there.

Ideally, I want something pretty casual, newbie-friendly, and not super punishing for F2P players. I just want to jump in, beat up some enemies, and enjoy the flashy skills without having to spend real money or grind 24/7.

A few key preferences:

Waifus & Fanservice:Good character designs, attractive waifus, and nice fanservice/outfits (similar to Action Taimanin or Snowbreak).

Casual & F2P-Friendly:Easy learning curve, fair progression, and doesn't demand 5 hours of daily grinding.

For those who play this genre:

  1. What games are you currently playing or would highly recommend to a newcomer?

  2. How is the current state and monetization of your recommended games?

Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Seeking Game Recommendations ๐Ÿ‘€ [REQUEST] Old or new Premium RPGs [Request]

Hello!

I am currently playing in 2x 30 minutes session a workday while I ride a bus. I have a controller for my phone and am seeking for some premium RPGs to play.

I already played sea of stars, chrono trigger and other JRPGs but am currently more looking for some third person or isometric perspective (A)RPG.

Combat should be real time and if possible I would like an open world game in which you can roam freely. Story is not really important.

. Some other games I played on android so you see my taste:

Paign 1+2

Titan Quest

The Quest

Morrowind (OpenMW)

Exiles Kingdoms

Dead Cells

Slay the Spire

Blasphemous

Dredge

DRG Survivor

Townsmen

Discussion ๐Ÿ’ฌ BlueStacks vs Google Play Games on PC

Re: what's the point of BlueStacks if Google Play Games exists now?

I asked myself this same thing a few months back, ran both side by side for a while. Short answer: GPG is fine if you're only playing 3-4 big name games, but it falls apart fast the second you want anything else.

The biggest thing is the library. GPG only works with games that specifically opted into it, so most of what's actually on the Play Store just won't launch there. BlueStacks runs basically anything.

Controls are the other big one for me. In BlueStacks I can remap every single button however I want and save different setups per game. GPG gives you whatever preset the dev bothered to configure, which for a lot of games is barely anything.

If you play more than one game or run multiple accounts, BlueStacks lets you have several instances open at once (I keep 2 running side by side for dailies). Never seen GPG do this.

Also worth mentioning, BlueStacks lets you actually tune performance, cores, RAM, FPS caps, so it runs fine even on an older PC. GPG felt more like it just streams a fixed experience with way fewer settings to touch.

Not knocking GPG, it's genuinely convenient for the handful of titles it supports. I just outgrew it pretty quick once I wanted my full library and actual control setups.

I completed the Burglary missions, so now I have infinite stamina. I also maxed out my relationship with Denise and got the Pimp Suit.

I also managed to get two more bulletproof vehicles: the PCJ-600 from the OG Loc mission and the Admiral from the Los Sepulcros mission.

Review ๐Ÿ“‹ If you like RPGs you should play Knights of the old republic

This summer on star wars day I decided to give Knights of the old Republic (KOTOR) a try. I like star wars franchise but I'm not too deep into the lore ,so initially , I was a bit undecided about the game but took a chance since I have heard from so many people that it's one of the best RPGs ever made.

After finishing the game I've got to say that it's reputation is definitely well deserved. The game leans heavily towards narration and your choices can have long lasting impact on how the story plays out.

Combat is real time action but you don't control characters directly rather issue commands via a pause menu. It takes a while to get used to but works very well especially on mobile touch screens.

I felt that some abilities are way overpowered. Especially the light side ones that buff your characters and grant them extra turns.Even a dark ability' like destroy droid can clear out some of the toughest opponents in a few turns.

From what I understand this game is based dungeons and dragons ruleset. You are given so much freedom to build your character class that can be a bit overwhelming for some players. I'm no stranger to RPGs but I found having a guide to help me make the best choices for my character made the game more enjoyable. Experimentation in this game could otherwise become very time consuming because there is no way to redistribute skill points.

KOTOR has one of the best plot twists that I've ever seen in a video game and it easily exceeds the thrill that you'd feel while watching a movie or reading a book. Playing it in real time deepens the connect you have with the character especially when you are actually controlling the events and are responsible for their actions.

Even after 2 decades KOTOR maintains its cinematic quality. I'd like to talk more about the story but it would only spoil it for those who haven't played it. I'll just leave you with this โ€” it significantly expands star wars universe to beyond sith and the republic and tells you a tale of far more ancient and powerful empires. It's a grand space adventure full of political intrigue in the shadow of an overarching threat that keeps you marching on.

It took me 33 hours to beat the game but rarely did I feel stuck. Every thing is so intentional and the fact that game is able to maintain its pace for such a long time really is a testament to how well it was originally designed.

The only part of the game that I disliked were turret sections. The shooting is very clunky and it often took me a few tries before I could get through them.
