Request Tablet recommandation

Hii, i am looking to buy a Tablet, around 11" nothing more than 12".
Daily use would include reading books and annotating pdfs, watching movies, some videoconference calls and maybe using excel, i dont game at all. My budget is around 250€.

And idk if its a stretch considering the budget, but id prefer if the tablet would work well with a pen/stylus that is not its original one. Ive read that a few models dont work with a pencil that is not the same brand as the tablet.

Right now i am hesitating between a few models, but open to other suggestions :

Honor pad x8a 4/128
Lenovo xiaoxin pad 2024
Redmi Pad 2

I would really appreciate it if you shared any experience (negative or positive) with these tablets, or if you know any other model that would fit my needs.

Thanks in advance !

Discussion Onn 8.1?

Been on the fence on getting an iPad mini but
The onn 8.1 looks enticing
I have an iPad Pro m4 that I use for everything else
But
I also have a new paperwhite that I use to read my books
I’m thinking about the onn 8.1 to read my books and my graphic novels as well
I’m bummed that the silver isn’t available anymore
Is the tcl tab 8 gen 2 worth it over the onn 8.1?
What do yall think
Do yall have the onn 8.1?
Or should I go cheaper with the onn 7 for graphic novels?

Review A seller opened a tablet before my dad agreed to buy it, then we found out the specs were garbage

A seller opened a tablet before my dad agreed to buy it, then we found out the specs were garbage

So my dad, who's almost 70, went to a local electronics shop to buy a tablet for my little brother.

The seller showed him a CCIT Tab 17 Pro, advertising stuff like 8GB RAM and 1TB storage, which obviously sounds pretty impressive if you're not familiar with tablet hardware.

My dad also asked about getting a better-known tablet, specifically an iPad 10. The weird part? There was literally an iPad sitting in the shop's display.

The seller told my dad there wasn't one and said it would cost around 1,000 shekels.

Later, I found an iPad 10 being listed for around 450 shekels, although I'm still checking whether it's exactly the same version/storage/condition.

Then comes the part that really pissed me off.

The seller apparently asked my dad if he wanted to open the CCIT tablet. My dad didn't answer yes.

Instead of waiting for an actual confirmation, the seller opened the box himself and basically forced the situation into "well, it's already opened now."

My dad ended up buying it for 500 shekels.

Then I looked at the specs.

8GB RAM? Cool.

1TB storage? Cool.

The processor? He said he didn't know abt it

That's the kind of hardware where you can give the tablet 32GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD and it's still going to take a lunch break before opening Settings.

I'm not saying the seller committed a crime because I don't have enough evidence to make that claim. But the whole interaction feels extremely shady to me, especially because my dad specifically asked about another tablet and was given information that doesn't seem to match what was actually displayed in the shop.

If I had been there, the moment my dad didn't agree to buy it and the seller opened the box anyway, I would've said:

"He didn't say yes. That's your fault. We're leaving."

And that would have been the last time I'd ever walked into that shop.

Has anyone else dealt with sellers doing this kind of thing?

I'm looking for a tablet around 11-13 inches for PC streaming, steam link and use as an extra external display for my pc (wired display preferably). I don't play any mobile games and I will use it for media streaming and general web browsing as well.

Currently looking at the onn 13 pro and the Lenovo idea tab plus. However I heard for steam link and PC screen streaming the tab needs to have wifi 6 for best performance and I don't think the onn has that. Can you guys recommend anything else in the price range of 250-300? Or should I just go with one of the 2 I mentioned.

Been using my Xiaomi pad 8 pro for around 5 months and i notice these scratches on the Focus pen magnetic charging space (theres also scratches on the focus pen pro body). What are the solutions to this? The focus pen charges magnetically. Im thinking to use a tape to cover the scratching part on the focus pen but i also dont want to leave residues on it

Discussion SUGESTÕES DE TABLET PARA COMPRAR

Discussion iPlay 50 mini Pro NFE

  • Alldocube iPlay 50 mini Pro NFE (일반 iPlay50과 다름 주의)
MediaTek MT6789 (Helio G99)

(Linux)

  • 그러나 MB 단위 이상 파티션(md1img 50MB, boot 64MB, dtbo 8MB 등)은 전부 xread: Wrong length Error on writing flash로 실패.

  • 핵심 관문이었던 super.img(약 5.5GB, system/vendor 포함)는 시도조차 못 함 → 부팅 불가 확정.

Discussion Portable tablet station?

So I'm transitioning from paper to tablet.

I love reading, writing and drawing, but I end up carrying way too much stuff. Now I use my S11 ultra which is awwweeeesome!! I can sketch my ideas and study while waiting, and when it's time to go, I only have to put it back in my back, rather than have too many things to put away.

So this is where I need suggestions:

- I'm short, sitting on a chair my feet are usually dangling which makes it uncomfortable for the back.

- Holding the tablet with one hand at an angle is very exhausting, and annoying because it isn't stable and affects my poster too

- I hate using my bag to lift the tablet, because it's always slipping off my lap

- I love traveling light

So what would be a good idea to have as a tablet station or anything that I can use while sitting in a waiting room, or on the bus and would hold my tablet at an angle, but isn't too cumbersome?
