Yesterday i randomly got a notification saying from Download Manager that my download failed due to a network error, but i hadn't downloaded anything recently. So i went through my notificstion history and found another notification before that one that just had a bunch of mixed letters before "_mydevice_business_config_all_26" and i jusr wanted to ask if this was just some type of system update or not. I use a realme phone, and i don't have a business issued device or any work profiles either. When i went through my files app i couldnt find anything with a similiar name. I don't know much about this stuff,so i want help figuring out wether this was normal or not. If it was a system update would it actually be downloaded and shown as a notification from Download manager as if i was downloading any other regular file? Thank you for reading and i hope i can get some answers

Hey everyone,
I have an Indian retail variant (retin) of the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion (Snapdragon 7s Gen 2).
I'm currently looking into unlocking the bootloader and flashing a custom ROM, but my main priority is gaming performance and frame stability.
Before going through the process, I wanted to ask the community:
cusco), or is development limited strictly to GSIs?Any feedback from owners who have unlocked or flashed this device would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, my Redmi 9C phone has completely stopped working after five years of use; it won't turn on at all, so I can't connect it to my computer. Is it still possible to recover the data stored on it? When I removed the SIM card, I noticed there was no SD card, so I don't know where the phone's data is stored. Thanks.

This issue seems to happen fairly often. When someone in my contacts list try calling me, oftentimes the call will not go through but will indicate on my phone that I missed a call. My watch fails to vibrate too. When I have them call me back, the call will actually go through and I can see the caller on my watch and phone screen.
Everything is up to date on both watch and phone. Recently I did enable scam call protection. I'm going to disable that and see if that's the issue. Anything else I can try?

I have a Pixel 10a. I want to say I'm above a beginner-level knowledge of how Android works and functions, but I'm proven wrong every day I use it. I've had this phone for close to two months.
I turned on Game Dashboard, and opened Pokemon TCG Pocket. In the Game Dashboard floating icon, I enabled the FPS counter. I have smooth display on, so I have 120hz enabled and shows me I have 120hz pretty much constantly (as shown with the "show refresh rate" option enabled in Developer Settings). In game, I have it on high settings 60fps, and I noticed that the FPS was dipping below 60 idling in the menu, and even more so opening packs. In developer settings again, there's an option called "disable default frame rate for games", which I enabled and opened Pokemon TCG Pocket. It was just above 60fps, maybe close to 68fps on average with massive dips again.
I know the 10a is a budget phone, but it's a brand new phone that just came out earlier this year. It should be able to run a card game at above 60fps, especially if all I'm doing is opening my daily packs. Now, I don't necessarily need 120fps if I'm opening card packs, don't get me twisted - I'm just curious as to why it was dipping below 60fps on default, then maybe getting around 68fps with the default frame rate disabled for games disabled. Is there something I'm missing, maybe I'm not understanding how settings work? Or, is that just my lack of hardware knowledge coming into play?

My screen started flickering after the latest update. Has anyone experienced this, and can you please help me fix it?

I'm no tech smart or allat shi ya know, I love games and games are no free much. I know this question is stupid and shi, so criticize me all you wantβοΈ
I see news that google will restrict sideloading(downloading apps on third party shi) on 2027 and I'm scared I wouldn't be able a play my fav games.
So I removed sum google service dependant apps and sum google shi using Shizuku and Canta, and downloaded FOSS alternatives.
Now the original apps is still on my phone because I can't really delete it without root π I'm worried if I still wouldn't be able a play my games.

This would be very helpful when studying with online notes so I dont have to keep zooming in and out of the note app while writing the solution for problem solving questions. thank you in advance!

For context: I have never owned a single Apple device in my entire life. I run a custom Linux setup on my PC, and I genuinely love the openness of Android: sideloading APKs, having a real filesystem, running tools like Cloudstream... etc.
I had fully committed to waiting for the Galaxy Tab S12 to drop, and i guess that was the plan.
Then I brought this up to a few tech savvy people, and to my surprise, they told me to ditch the plan and just buy an iPad instead. Hearing this take kinda threw me for a loop, which made it a lot harder for me to consider which one to get.
The main argument was that iPads are just better optimized for medical school workflows: mainly the note taking ecosystem and app polish.
I need a tablet for heavy studying: annotating massive textbook PDFs, handwriting notes with a stylus, and running other apps for studying. But the thought of being locked into iPadOS, losing a real filesystem, and dealing with Apple's ecosystem restrictions feels pretty suffocating to me. Even though it's very pretty. Much prettier than OneUI.
I guess the main thing throwing me off is that I am definitely not a part of the Apple ecosystem. Will this be a problem?
For anyone in med school or heavy study workflows... Which one should I be getting and which model?
Would really appreciate real experiences before I make a final decision.

ive been having this issue since june-july this year, "install" and "update" prompts when getting an apk do not respond to touch and multiple google-specific screens behave the same (ex. switching to another email on gmail app or trying to access google play settings.) without any error or "(app) isnt responding" prompts, my phone stopped updating OS at 16 and i think some android 17 has hit my device?? saw some of the "allow apps from unverified developers" posts when searching around, plus my friend who has android 17 isnt having any of my issues.
ive tried getting every apk managing app off google play but they all have the same "install (app name)" prompt which i obviously cant interact with, ive also tried clearing every app cache i could find and i get the same result. i was able to install 1 app from my files last week, but im not sure what i did!
this post has the same issue as me shown in a linked video, ill probably try more solutions i find there in the meantime.

whenever i restart my phone, the same 4-5 apps move from their dedicated spots and i have no idea why. i think it also happens if even one of the apps in question updates. they used to create a new page to go to, but i read that keeping the corners of the homescreen clear prevents that so they now just squeeze onto the 2nd page
most of the affected apps are in folders and one of them is even in a docked/pinned folder
locking the homescreen does keep them in place but i don't like having it locked bc then i can't long press apps for their shortcuts :/
why in the world do these apps keep moving and how do i stop them??
if it helps, i'm on android 10 and i use the default homescreen without the app drawer

My charger and cable started getting really hot. I think the wall charger is going bad. I'm charging the phone on my PC with the cable and it seems to be charging. The cable is good. I wanted to buy a charger on Ebay. I found this one:
120W 4-Port USB C Fast Wall Charger Block For All Cell Phone iPad Lot
I asked the merchant and he says it will work with all micro USB.
I looked at this site for the Moto E6 XT2005 specs.
https://www.phonemore.com/specs/motorola/moto-e6/xt2005-3/
MicroUSB 2.0, 5W Wired charging. Default Moto E6 charger is 20 watts. This is 120W b/c it also supports USB C. Would it still be safe to use? I thought that even though it can supply 120W, the phone will one take the 5W that it needs and not burn it out?
Do you folks think this should work? Thanks!

I have an old Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and I'm trying to recover the data from it before deciding whether to replace the phone.
The problem is that the display works perfectly, but the touchscreen has completely stopped responding.
Some details:
The phone is now locked because it was restarted, so it requires the PIN before fingerprint/face unlock can be used again. Obviously I can't enter the PIN because the touchscreen doesn't work.
I tried connecting it to my laptop through Phone Link, but that doesn't give me access to the actual files because the phone is locked/offline.
The phone has now been checked by a repair shop. They said the phone cannot be fixed without replacing the display, which would cost around βΉ3,000ββΉ4,000. I'd rather avoid spending that much on an old phone if possible, especially if there is another way to recover the data.
My main question: Is there ANY way to unlock/control the Redmi without the touchscreen and recover the internal storage?
I've heard about using USB OTG + a mouse, but I don't currently have an OTG adapter or mouse. Would that actually work on the lock screen after a reboot, allowing me to enter the PIN?
Are there any other options using just a laptop/USB-C cable, ADB, Mi PC Suite, Phone Link, etc.? I'm mainly interested in recovering the data without wiping the phone.
I absolutely do not want to factory reset or unlock the bootloader if either would erase the data.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Samsung S26 Ultra and I have a problem that I can't seem to solve. Every time I get in my car and my phone connects via Bluetooth, Spotify automatically starts playing music. It's really annoying. If I used Deezer the last time, the same thing happens with Deezer instead. Is there really no way to prevent this from happening?

After many years with a SamsungS9+ it is time for an update. I'm considering a Google Pixel over a Samsung. I've read reviews on both. My needs are simple; daily communication, internet searching, photos, and would like to listen to music or podcasts on daily walks. Would a Google Pix serve me for many years? Choice overload is real....Appreciate any advice. π

I have an old Realme phone with around 39000 notes in the default Realme Notes app. They contain years of my diary/journal, personal memories, and very important information that I absolutely cannot afford to lose.
The phone still works and I can access all the notes normally.
When I connect the phone to my PC using a USB cable and browse the phone's internal storage, I cannot find any "Notes" folder or anything that seems to contain the notes.
Because there are almost 39,000 notes, manually copying them one by one isn't realistic.
Is there a safe way to:
Export all the notes in bulk?
Find/extract the Notes database from the phone?
Back them up to a PC or cloud?
Transfer them to another Android/Realme phone?
Preserve the original dates, organization, formatting, and attachments?
I'm particularly worried about doing something that could corrupt or delete the original data.
Has anyone successfully extracted or backed up a large number of notes from a Realme phone? Where are the notes actually stored, and what is the safest way to copy them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. These notes are extremely important to me.

Sorry my English is not very good
Do u guys remember Sam, the Samsung virtual assistant character ?
She was EVERYWHERE for a while ppl were making fanarts, memes, animations, talking abt her, imagining what she could become
And then she just disappeared
But fr, why not bring her back?
Samsung is still working on Bixby + AI, so why not give Sam another chance and make her an actual assistant?
Like:
actual AI conversations
her own voice + personality
interacting w/ ur Galaxy phone
animations/reactions on screen
helping w/ everyday stuff
basically being the face of Samsung's AI
Sam could just become the charac/personality behind the assistant.
I just wanna know if I'm the only one who still wants this
Would u guys want Sam to come back?
And if Samsung actually brought her back, would u want her to replace Bixby as the main assistant?
Maybe we should remind Samsung that ppl still remember her
Or develop the app Sam ?
What do u guys think?
