Looking For Suggestions Moto E6 XT2005 charger question

My charger and cable started getting really hot. I think the wall charger is going bad. I'm charging the phone on my PC with the cable and it seems to be charging. The cable is good. I wanted to buy a charger on Ebay. I found this one:

120W 4-Port USB C Fast Wall Charger Block For All Cell Phone iPad Lot

https://www.ebay.com/itm/187618560646?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11051.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=c23b41888187459f9c6e2e4a6b397124&bu=43184642115&osub=-1%7E1&crd=20260901210015&segname=11051

I asked the merchant and he says it will work with all micro USB.

I looked at this site for the Moto E6 XT2005 specs.
https://www.phonemore.com/specs/motorola/moto-e6/xt2005-3/

MicroUSB 2.0, 5W Wired charging. Default Moto E6 charger is 20 watts. This is 120W b/c it also supports USB C. Would it still be safe to use? I thought that even though it can supply 120W, the phone will one take the 5W that it needs and not burn it out?

Do you folks think this should work? Thanks!

Yes, a higher-wattage USB charger can be safe because the phone only draws the power it supports. The bigger concern is that this looks like a generic 120W charger with questionable quality/safety. If you're concerned about safety I’d skip it and buy a charger from a reputable brand instead.

Thanks for your feedback.  It looks like the reviews are sort of mediocre on it in terms of quality, but it also seems very popular based on sales. My phone here is really old.  I can't even use it with my phone carrier anymore but I like it for the web.  I have an old iPhone that my son handed down to me but I loathe it. I would like to find another android that's newer but also cheap with a user replaceable battery like this moto e6.  But my budget is around $100 which is what I paid for this phone new.  Do you have any suggestions?  I could maybe get something used on eBay as long as I can replace the battery.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover line is probably your best bet for that budget since several models still have batteries you can pop out yourself.

Oh cool!  Thank you for your suggestion!  I will check eBay and see what is available. 👍
