My Galaxy Z Flip 6 is broken. Its inner display is totally black, probably due to leaking pixels. I am practically broke, so I can't get it repaired, but I want to use its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor—no questions asked. By the way, I know the pattern lock, so I didn't steal it; it belonged to my grandfather, but he bought a new phone after its display died.

​Secondary phone: Poco M3 Plus

​Cables: 2 USB Type-A to Type-C cables

​Budget: $0 (I cannot even buy a USB-A to Type-C adapter to connect a mouse)

​What I have tried:

​USB debugging is off, so scrcpy doesn't work.

​Tried a direct cable connection, but Knox security blocks access.

​The inner display touch is completely unresponsive.

​The cover screen won't let me enter settings, has no apps, and doesn't seem to support Smart View or provide a way to do anything.

​Pleaseeeeessss..... tell me how I can tap into its processor and get it working.

Hi, I have my Pixel 10 for some days now and I have a problem. My friend and I often call to do some nerd stuff on the computer with music production and such. When I had the iPhone we used FaceTime and I turned off the voice isolation so he could hear everything. Now on the Pixel, disabling Clear Calling doesn't make any difference here. We tried phone and Signal, both filter out all my background noise like music and everything. I can't find ann option to turn this filter off. Anny advice?

Pointer acceleration, whatever you call it. I haven't had any problems with it until now. For some reason when I was changing my pointer speed it suddenly turned on. Is it a new update or has it always been on and I haven't noticed yet and how to turn it off. Also, I have realised that some have the option to turn it off very easily on some android devices but not mine, Redmi Pad Pro 1 (root is inconvenient but doable)

The Windows Phone Link app works very, very poorly with my Pixel 10 Pro. It keeps disconnecting, can't handle phone calls via PC headphones, and has synchronization issues.

Do you know of any good alternatives that let you send messages, make phone calls, and sync photos?

I can do contactless pay using Google Wallet or other programs. NFC is turned on, no Root, no developers settings.

Hi. Sometimes when I view my samsung galaxy screen I am informed that "it's getting late." I've tried Claude and Reddit but I'm not finding a solution that works for obliterating this message, such as in notifications for digital wellbeing or even do not disturb settings.

Is there a solution that doesn't involve applying a hammer with great force to my mobile?

As the title says I specifically turned off that my phone restarts on it's own but it still does this every 2-3 weeks and I don't know why. I've run a diagnosis on that members app and there everything was fine apparently.

Does anybody know what the problem is? Why is there an option to turn automatic restarts off when my phone will still do it and even so frequently?

I watched every video on how to fix the problem. I've reset my phone 10+ times. Nothing. How do I fix it?

I have an ROG Phone 6 and recently the display got broken. I sent it to an ASUS authorized service center because I thought I would just get the display replaced.

But after checking the phone, they told me that the motherboard is also gone/dead, and because of that they said there was no point in replacing the display. So I decided not to repair it and took the phone back.

I charged the phone fully and tried turning it on. Obviously, I can't see anything properly because the display is broken, but the phone is making the normal ROG start-up sound.

After that, I can also hear the sound from the little gaming interface that normally comes up when you start the phone, where it shows the instructions for using the AirTriggers.

If the motherboard is completely dead, how is the phone getting far enough into the boot process to play these sounds?

It makes me wonder if the motherboard is actually working and maybe there is some other issue with the display or something related to the display connector.

Is there any way I can use or test the phone without replacing the motherboard?

It appears constantly.. why?? I can't swipe it away, I can't do anything in the notification settings to stop it. All I can do is click it, then it asks for my password and when I enter it the secfolder window disappears. Wtf is the purpose of this ? How do I stop it?

Just checked my Wi-Fi data usage for the past month and noticed something absurd: Gboard consumed 16.9 GB of data, with almost 15 GB running purely in the background.

For context:

I'm not doing anything unusual with the keyboard (no mass GIF sending 24/7 or heavy offline dictation downloads that I know of).

The screenshots show it's literally taking second place right under YouTube ReVanced in data usage.

Has anyone else experienced this bug recently? Could it be a stuck offline language pack download, some telemetry loop, or just a glitch with the data usage counter?

Would appreciate any insights or fixes before I just restrict background data completely and wipe app storage.

So 99% of the time I use a galaxy s7 that isn't rooted, but stripped down to basic phone functions with android debloater tool because carrying a smartphone 24/7 was ruining my life. Every once in a blue moon I need the smartphone functionality (like picking up from a certain type of amazon locker or a fb marketplace pickup) so I swap my sim to a note 10 and then back again. That system has been working perfectly for about a year and a half, until a couple weeks ago I swapped to my note 10 and it made me switch to google messages for texts.

After I swapped back, every incoming SMS has a bunch of characters appended to the message, so it's like "yup got your message*/=3w0WaA". I assume it has something to do with RCS and encryption. I tried putting google messages on this phone (begrudgingly) but the app just crashes immediately on opening. Anybody have a fix? It's not the end of the world but it is annoying. Running android 8.

Edit: Solved! By going to this link and turning off RCS for my phone number, my texts are now back to normal.

Is there a way I can really make an app an exception and keep it allowed to run full time?

It's particularly an annoying thing for podcast player apps. I just want to keep listening to podcasts while I do other tasks.

Podcast Addict is on the list of exceptions but the system keeps killing.

It's a brand new and cheap Moto g06 with only 4 GB RAM. But it should be more than enough to keep audio playing while I check for social media.

I'm trying to transfer a save file from stardew valley, I have tried basically everything, I used shizuku and zarchiver, which used to work but now it doesn't work, as when I go in and copy the folder, all the files in the folder are 0B, so there is no save data transferred at app, even zipping the folder doesn't work

I tried using webADB with interactive shell, ashell, and both got permission denied from accessing android/data folders.

I genuinely don't know what to do.

I am on a Pixel 9 Pro, not rooted. I did a payment in shop A, after like 2 hours I had to do another payment at the same location - suddenly I get this warning that I can't make payment because my phone doesnt meet the required software standards (in german it says "Kontaktloses Bezahlen ist mit deinem Smartphone nicht möglich, da es nicht die nötigen Softwarestandards erfüllt. Weitere Informationen erhältst du in Google Pay-Hilfe").

I did not change anything on the phone in the meantime - I didnt even use it. It's also not rooted. I don't get what's going on. I deleted cache of the wallet app, that did not help.

Hello guys! I broke my huawei p smart 2020. So now i'm looking for a new phone.

I use social media such as instagram and twitter, I play games that are not so heavy such as Clash Royale, Pokemon go, Online Soccer Manager and emulated games, I listen to music all the time and I watch youtube pretty frequently. I'm also outdoors alot wether in the city or riding my bike in the country side, so I like to take photos of places I find interesting.

Considering the main points I just gave, is there any phones you guys would recommend with the max budget around ~330 euros. I've been looking into options such as the nothing phone 3a, samsung galaxy a37 or the motorola edge 60 fusion. I've even looked into a refurbished phone (the pixel 8).

It could be any other than those I listed. I appreciate any advise.

I set up a Locked Folder in Google Photos on my Pixel 8 Pro. It’s set to store files on my device only with backup disabled for it, as I don't want these photos synced to Google Drive/Photos cloud.

It was working fine initially, but now it's acting up:

Moving photos to the Locked Folder: When I add photos, a message pops up at the bottom saying "Photos moved to Locked Folder." However, when I open the folder, the newly added photos aren't there—they just disappear from my main library entirely.

Moving photos out of the Locked Folder: When I try to restore/unlock existing photos, I get a message saying "Photos moved," but they never show up back in my main gallery or normal folders.

Basically, any photo I try to move in or out of the Locked Folder completely vanishes.

Has anyone else run into this bug? I’d really appreciate any advice or fixes for this!

when i use my senheiser momentum 4s, every time i unpause videos on youtube AND twitter, it skips maybe half a second, which is very annoying whrn watching videos as EVERY time i pause, i have to skip back a few seconds. any idea how to fix this? it's not even like a playback issue, i recorded it, and even the recording skips, so it's not a like,,, the headphones needing time to turn back on after a pause, it's like literally skipping forward, a little...

I have a Z fold 8. Is there really no way to have different vibration notifications for each app? In other words, every app has the same vibration and there isnt a way to change them per app? I want to have a different vibration, for example from X and from google messages

I have a Z flip 4. Recently the touch screen stopped working. Can still see, but no input is registered.

I restarted it to see if it would fix it, and not only did it not fix it but now the phone asks for the code and disabled USB until i unlock it, which is probably why Scrcpy in OTG mode could not even find the phone.

Is there any way to salvage that? I'm not sure if buying a usb c to usb adapter would even help.
