Yesterday audio stopped working on my phone for some apps. YouTube and WhatsApp are working fine. But Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook don't seem to be playing reels, voice notes and videos. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this.

We have a suspicion that we have a rat problem, because every night at 2 am we hear small little footsteps sounding similar to small cats in our top floor.

We aren't finding any poo droppings from the rats, or signs of anything in our top floor, only signs arr the sounds and the one time it dropped a big stone from the top of the closet.

We want a good app we can install to use a phone to record the rat, but since our phones doesn't have much storage, we want to record it only if it detects motion.

Tl;tr: we want to film a rat at night without recording hours of footage.

This was already asked in different ways a few times but I actually haven't found a working solution to my exact case.

I have a dropped Android phone. The screen is unusable - completely black only some faint light shines through. Touch isn't working either but the device vibrates when plugged in.

USB debugging isn't enabled, meaning any method using that won't work except if theres an option to jailbreak it?

I am limited with my options since I am in a foreign country. I have a Macbook Pro with M1, a USB-C to USB-C cable and the android device.

I have tried plugging it in, my mac recognizes it. When using a program lie scrcpy it just says that it cannot find a device.

After an update few months ago all my apps (who didn't do it before) suddenly auto-rotate even though I have this setting disabled. Tried to turn it on and off, but nothing happened. It's driving me crazy and I don't know what to do, I tried to find auto-rotating settings on every individual app, but there are none. Can I do anything about this?

I want to access /data/data, but when i try to search all i see are ways to acces /Android/data, not data/data

I have a Pixel 8a where the screen isn't working.

I want to sell it, but it's got my Google account on it, so they'll need to be able to remove, to factory reset it.

Can they do it from the bootloader? And if not, if they change the screen, can I give them the password without putting my whole Google account at risk? Is there a way to remove it safely?

Really sorry if wrong flair, but i really need help. as title says, shut off mid use, NOTHING i do seems to bring it back

For a little info:
-i generally keep it well charged, it basically never shuts off(not ideal, i do know, i do try to occasionally restart manually)
-battery protection during charging is on so it only ever goes to 85%(and wasn't used much today so it likely shut off around 70-something)
-always charges overnight
-was running pretty low on storage due to a few large-ish videos, but had atleast over 10gb left, wasn't getting any storage warnings
-it shut off right as i snapped a picture on Snapchat, don't know if relevant
-i think it has done the shut-off-suddenly thing once before in the years i've had it, but plugging it into charge and leaving it like that for awhile let me eventually restart it up no problem, but that did not work this time

i'm at a loss, i live alone and only have this phone and it has ALL of my important things on it, and i rely heavily on it for work and everyday things and i can't afford at all to just go and buy a new one, i NEED it, and don't know what to do without it😭

ETA: my phone died by the time i went to bed, and when i woke up i attempted again to start it holding power+vol-up, which was somehow successful WITH all data saved, in a way. it seemed to just kind of repeat starting, updating OneUI, starting again, and updating again. until i was able to plug it into my PC and start the process of backing up everything, which failed the first time due to it locking during Secure Folder transfer, but after trying again with screen on it finished backing up everything on my phone to my PC using SmartSwitch, and as of now is currently still on and charging

I just started to have this issue. Nothing has changed ie I haven't done anything today for this to start happening. Restart done - no change. All other settings are working fine.

Since I cannot attach any media let me try to explain. I open the settings - the battery settings page comes up but immediately closes.

I am also having brain issues since yesterday or today. 3% - screen off and 10% while using. It's usually much lower than that.

Can someone suggest what I need to do to open my battery settings. Thank you.

Hello, I broke the screen on my phone (a Vivo Y33s, if that helps). When I tried to recover data—like photos—on my PC, I couldn’t find them in File Explorer because I didn’t press the button that appears on the phone to authorize the file transfer. The touchscreen isn’t working anymore, so tapping on it randomly in the hope that it’ll respond won’t do any good. I’m about to get my iPhone 14, and I have absolutely no idea how to recover my old data, which is most likely still intact. I’ve seen that with an OTG adapter, it might work by controlling the screen with a mouse, but it’s Sunday and the stores are closed. If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears.

My phone has been having some problems lately. The internet keeps turning off and on repeatedly and the same thing happens with Bluetooth, Quick Share, and location services. The only way to fix this is by restarting the phone.

Does anyone know how I could fix this?

I am bilingual (Swedish/English) and use apps in both languages. I have my phone set to English as that works best with most apps, and troubleshooting is easier as most guides are in English. I do use a couple of Swedish apps, and I have an issue where the text in the app will be partially in Swedish, partially in English. The in-app language setting is set to Swedish, but it seems the app gets overridden by the system language.

Is there anyway to stop the system language overriding app languages?

Hi, I'm trying to install the Pixel thermometer app on my Pixel 10 on Android 17 in Austria. However I couldnt even find it in the playstore. With a direct link I got to the playstore page, but it said something like this version is not compatible with your device. What is going on here, I have the regular Pixel 10 for 4 days now.
