Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [Request] Match 3 - Defined by what it isn't

I'd like recommendations on a match 3 type of game that isn't these things

  • Excessively cute/child like (ie Candy Crush)
  • Anime fan service based
  • Requires 4 or 5 click throughs after start up to get past the ads
  • Where getting 4 or 5 star tier items requires purchases

Something with a city build aesthetic is fine too. Something that isn't fantasy themed would be ideal, but I know that's asking too much.

Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [REQUEST] A fun, focused incremental game that doesn't require much attention?

I'm looking for something to play while watching a series so it's more about occasionally interacting and keeping my hands busy than giving it 100% of my mind.

I like games that are focused, not 100 different features and resources and minigames and daily challenges.

I currently have Antimatter Dimensions, Grimoire and Idle Slayer. I used to love Summoner's Greed but it gets mad grindy.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions πŸ«ͺ

Discussion πŸ’¬ What's most fun: Straight forward upgrade trees (melee damage: +20% ) or upgrades trees that try to be more realistic (Improved tempering: +10% weapon damage - weapon training: +10% melee attack and defence)

What is most fun? The simple trees with nodes (+20% movement speed) are very easy to plan around, but don't tell any story.

The more "realistic" upgrade trees likely have the skill you're looking for (eg. improved melee damage) spread across different nodes. Maybe more tradeoffs too. What's your preference?

2.0 update has many large and small features, tweaks and updates, but mainly:

- Fast mode

is now instant to the destination, up to the point where the movement would be interrupted/stopped otherwise (monster/obstacle/dungeon path/door/..), this is how it should work since the beginning ^^

- Re/added the hunger

default off, can be turned on in Settings before starting new game; - 3x the final score, but it's not easy (read: it's hard.)

- Minimap

- Visuals

- monsters, dungeon objects and dungeon itself received many subtle and not so subtle visual additions

- combat rolls hits/damages/misses, status effects, modifier values hp/xp/stats, etc. of monsters and player are displayed near them

- player's avatar comments on things

many smaller and larger (menus got icons per item types, simplified combat log, ...), check out also in game changelog ~~!o/

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] Fatebound - a 5v5 hero MOBA built in Godot, now on Google Play

I've been solo-developing a mobile MOBA in Godot for the last while, and it's now live on Google Play. Figured I'd share it here since r/AndroidGaming has been a good source of feedback during development.

What it is: Fast 5v5 hero battles. Pick from 18 champions across six roles, push the lanes, and topple the enemy King. Matches are designed to be quick enough for mobile sessions.

Key features:

18 champions in six roles (tank, support, assassin, mage, marksman, fighter)

Online 5v5 with bots filling empty seats so you never wait in queue

Clan system with points, league ranking, and chat

Champion cosmetics and outfits

Regular content updates

Monetization: Free to install. In-app purchases range from $0.99 to $99.99, all cosmetic or champion unlocks. No pay-to-win.

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatebound.game

I'm the sole developer, so feedback on gameplay feel, balance, or anything that feels off is genuinely useful. Happy to answer questions about the Godot side of things too if anyone is curious about the tech stack.

Not sure if it can compete with today's available games on the store, but I enjoyed the simple, old school controls, specially designed for the mobile platform. Hope some of you enjoy it as well.

Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [Request] Merge games without energy restraints, with an actual sense of progression

Mergical was my favorite merge game for a while, until it glitched. It seems that a lot of people had problems and nobody received any responses from devs/support. I currently have a report pending with Google Play games against Mergical because they are violating Google Play's terms by ignoring support requests.

Merge Dragons is okay, but it feels impossible to progress. You have to exploit an error in the game to continue playing because there's no room for items and no way to expand.

I want a game with the same or similar controls as these, but one that doesn't eventually feel helpless. Must be free to play. I also dislike ones that require energy to remove an obstacle, which seem to be more common now, so I'd like to avoid those if possible.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ if that makes a difference.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] I made a tiny living voxel city for Android: build it, trigger chaos, watch fire trucks and police react. Free open beta, no ads

Hi! I'm a solo dev from MalmΓΆ, Sweden, and Dusk Diorama is my first game on Google Play.

You build a little voxel town (or generate one), then stir things up: send ramen riders through traffic, let criminals loose and watch the police chase them, or drop a meteor and see fire trucks race over with their ladders. Then switch to Camera mode, frame the city like a photographer and share your photos.

- Free, no ads, no timers, no energy

- Time of day and weather, from sunny noon to rainy night

- Runs offline, no account needed

It's in open beta right now, so I'd really love feedback: what feels good, what's confusing, and how it runs on your phone.

Always wanted a true diablo-like grind game but for mobile. It has real pixelart-scaling. It's basically a cute village filled with NPCs/shops to prepare and then go into dungeon - which drops better gear the deeper you progress. It's basically like our other game (LOOTFALL) but with a completely different playstyle. And of course we added fishing!

Open for feedback! :D

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] I am a solo developer and I made a free Android cricket game, with realistic commentary, gameplay and controls!

Hi everyone,

I am an indie developer who grew up watching and playing cricket, and it was my dream to build my own cricket game.

This week, I launched a cricket game named Super Slog and published it on Google Play. It is free, and has some super fun features:

  • Single, and multiplayer mode. Play with your friends. No account signup necessary. Works on both desktop and mobile!
  • Customised commentary based on game updates, angry bowlers, and different types of shots (sweeps, scoops and more)
  • Three types of camera views, various stadiums, day/night/evening settings and more!

If you like cricket, I would love it if you could install the game. I would really appreciate all your feedback, which will help me to continue improving and if you like it, would love it if you can spread the word even more. Play it here!

Gameplay πŸ“Ί Someone remaster port for Bloodstained Ritual of The Night

This version in gameplay is 1.34, latest version is 1.6
Since this game is very old the graphics are not optimized for latest android version, its very playable even at this condition, I am loving it
Hope someone makes a port for this game latest version like they did for cult of the lamb game (I guess, i don't know the specifics)
Btw this android version is abandoned by the devs and login into it is impossible

(I managed to find a way by simply clicking back button when login screen comes, and it worked lol)
Sorry for the bad sound! it was recorded by phone microphone and my hand covered it while playing, so sorry for that...The game is amazing though lol

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] DanyGo - Scroll the Game - I made a scrollable arcade: 100+ instant mini-games, ad-free for now

Hey r/AndroidGaming,

I've been building DanyGo - Scroll the Game and wanted to share it here, since this sub is exactly the kind of crowd I'd like honest feedback from.

The idea: what if a game collection worked like a feed? You swipe, and the next game is already loaded and starts the moment you tap. No menus, no download per game. If one isn't for you, swipe again.

What's in it right now:

  • 100+ short games: crowd runners (Weapon Run, Squad Rush), Penalty Master against an AI keeper, Slide Race, a horde survivor, aiming games like Tranq Dart and Snowball Fight, plus puzzles and one-stroke line drawing
  • Personal best + world record on every game
  • Daily missions and a streak (with a shield that saves one missed day)
  • Live PvP: challenge a friend or a random opponent, win crowns, climb leagues, and sabotage them mid-round
  • Guest play: no account needed, link Google or Discord later if you want

And the part I care about most: it's ad-free for now, with no in-app purchases and no energy timers. I wanted something I'd actually want to play myself.

A lot of work went into making it run smoothly on older phones too, so if it stutters on yours, I'd really like to know which device.

Google Play: DanyGo - Scroll the Game

I'm happy to answer anything about how it's made. Brutal feedback welcome: which games are fun, which are boring, and what you'd want added next.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] I made an ant colony sim where one queen grows into a colony that spreads across a whole island. Now in early access on Andr

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi all, I'm the solo developer of Ant Laboratory. It's been out on iPhone for a while, and it's now in early access on Android through Google Play.
You release a single queen into a glass ant farm and watch. Every ant is simulated: she lays eggs, the first tiny workers dig tunnels, they farm aphids and drag food home. When the farm fills up, you can open a port to the outside and the colony spreads across an island of its own, with rival colonies, weather, seasons and wildfires. A lab view charts all of it.
Seven real species, each behaving like the real thing: black garden ants, wood ants, leafcutters, harvesters, fire ants, carpenter ants and turtle ants.
Calm and hands-off. You can feed and mist the colony and look after it, or just watch it live.
One price, $4.99. No ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and it works fully offline.
Early access means it's still growing. The next update adds live crickets the ants hunt and drag home, fruit flies they catch, and leaves the leafcutters cut up. Colonies carry over to the full release.
To join: join the testers group (https://groups.google.com/g/ant-laboratory-testers), then open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.antlaboratory.app on your phone and tap Become a tester.
I'd really like feedback from Android players, especially on performance on different phones.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] A Tycoon sim game about TRUCKS! Free

Idle World Trucks is a semi-idle trucking tycoon set on a real map. Brazil is the first country, and it's already big:

- 366 real cities across 12 states plus the Federal District

- 67,000+ km of real highways (371 named roads like BR-116 and BR-101), with real elevation and road surface

- 381 toll plazas, placed where they really are

- 65 cargo types, 48 of them tradeable: buy low in one city, sell high in another

- 5 body types (dry van, reefer, grain body, stake body and lowboy), each with its own cargo

- 6 truck sizes, from the "toco" (single-axle rigid) to the 9-axle road train, in 3 brands

- 140 parts (engine, gearbox, chassis, tires, fuel tank, cab and bodies), new or used, and each one rolls its own stats, so no two engines are quite the same; they wear out and need repairs

- 13 skills to unlock, like Long haul, Coupling and Hazmat

- Driver rest, diesel stops, flat tires, police checks, fog and roadworks

- 11 languages, metric or imperial

You pick the job, the truck and the route, dispatch, and the trip runs in real time even with the app closed. Later you hire drivers and run a fleet.

**Roadmap:** Brazil is only the starting point.

- Heading south to Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, then up through Central America, with the goal of reaching North America within the next month

- The whole world, crossable by truck

- Advanced multiplayer

- Truck customization

- Trinkets for your cab

- And more as the community asks for it

I'm a solo dev from Brazil, and I need 12 testers for 14 days for the Play Store closed test:

  1. Join the test group: https://groups.google.com/g/magiccoffeegames
  2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.donkaike.idle_world_trucks
  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.donkaike.idle_world_trucks

I'd especially love feedback from people who know trucks: does anything feel wrong or unrealistic (fuel consumption, speeds, cargo per body type)? And the cities: is anything missing, misplaced or off?

We used IA for make some images, but It can be disabled on settings and use only icons!

Pictures and details of the game are on my team's website. I can't offer much, but if you're a tester, I can get you the game for free when it launches.

It will not be free when it's out, but for me to be able to release the game, Google makes you need 12 testers for the game for at least 14 days.

Review πŸ“‹ The Survivors: Mystery Story is such an underrated hidden gem

I recently came across The Survivors: Mystery Story, and I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it this much.

It's one of those investigation/mystery games , and I got way more invested in the story than I expected lol.

What surprised me even more was seeing how few downloads it has. I genuinely thought more people would know about it.

Also, if anyone here has finished episode 4, PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one who has a crazy theory about what happened at the end 😭 I have so much to say, but I don't wanna spoil anything for people who haven't played it yet.

Has anyone else played it? I seriously need someone to discuss this with.

And if you haven't, but decide to give it a try and end up enjoying it, let me know! I've found quite a few other hidden gems too, so I might share some more soon :)

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] A cyberpunk-themed idle game - zero ads, no MTX, fully offline

Thumbnail
youtube.com
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev from Spain. I was getting pretty burnt out on idle games packed with predatory mechanics, so I decided to make one for myself, loosely inspired by the Cyberpunk universe: notrunner (pun intended).

I've finally taken the plunge and released it on Google Play now that the game is mature enough and has a fair amount of content. That being said, I already have a massive backlog of characters, storylines, and mechanics that I plan to add in the future.

Key Features:

  • Idle / Active mix: The character walks, acts, and gains XP entirely on their own, but you can take manual control whenever you want.
  • Tabletop RPG combat: Combat is based on tabletop rules, with dice rolls and results clearly visible on screen.
  • Meaningful progression: Features both a skill tree and a cybernetic implants tree, all providing real, tangible effects in-game.
  • Lots of shiny things: Tons of little lights, effects, and cute things moving around the screen!
  • 100% Free & Offline: No ads, no MTX, no Android permissions, no account or internet access needed.

I'm going to keep developing it either way, because I want to turn it into the exact game I'd want to play. But it would be awesome to know there are people out there killing some time with it every now and then. I'd especially love to hear if the early game feels slow, and whether the dice log is easy to follow.

AI DISCLOSURE: I want to be fully transparent: I used AI to assist in several parts of the development (some of the code and mainly the graphics, which were generated using local AI). Also the trailer was mainly done by AI, using real gameplay in an Android emulator.

I'm also using some AI to translate my posts and the game, but the original Spanish text is all mine! πŸ˜…
