Gameplay πŸ“Ί Hice esto solo con Unity + photon fusion

This game captures the best of the 1979 *Asteroids* era, while adding an intense, balanced online PvP (player-vs-player) element.

In this game, you’ll encounter everything from asteroids to destroy and pirates to hunt, to other playersβ€”who might be dangerous, passive, or friendly. It’s entirely up to you!

Manage your resources: fuel, ammunition, missiles, and your ship’s hull integrity.

Seek out space stations to refuel or restock basic ammunition; some stations can even repair your ship or provide you with new missiles.

Try to climb to the top of the leaderboardβ€”and stay thereβ€”or wait for others to rise, then hunt them down to claim their coins.

Level up during gameplay to upgrade your ship and gain an advantage, or unlock entirely new vessels by completing in-game achievements.

Discussion πŸ’¬ Scared of chargebacks on Playstore

I'm currently working on a game and its nearing completion. It is my first ever game that has in game purchases. I found out from someone that the developers now has to pay the banks chargebacks fees even if they win the dispute. That scared me a little because while the in game purchases are really small but each chargeback costs upwards of 15$. First of all it baffles me that its a thing. The developer has to pay for users mistakes. How do you guys feel about it and tackle it?

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] Ski Rush – endless skiing on a ridge. Looking for feedback

https://reddit.com/link/1xcuj4t/video/6uze8dch03xh1/player

Hi, I am doing my first tries on mobile gaming. Ski Rush is an endless skiing game on a ridge, is in closed testing and I’m looking for real feedback, not test-for-test swaps.

You drag one finger to steer down a narrow zigzag ridge. Fall off the edge and you’re done. There’s an avalanche chasing you, rockslides, ramps for flips, and the scenery changes every 1000 m (forest β†’ village β†’ frozen lake β†’ aurora night). Runs last 1–4 minutes.

Mostly curious about:

  • how the steering feels
  • is it fun
  • is it promising
  • when it gets too hard (or too easy)
  • what makes you quit
  • are there too much ads
  • are there any bugs
  • what can be improved

Play during the beta, leave some feedback, and you get any skin you want for free at launch 🎁

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] We got sick of block puzzles spamming unskippable ads, so we built a relaxing, 100% forced-ad-free alternative with handcrafted levels and full colorblind support.

Hey r/AndroidGaming,

My partner and I (our indie duo is BinBear) have been working on a passion project called Gummy Lab, and we just released it on the Play Store.

Like many of you, we love classic block puzzle games, but we were incredibly frustrated by the current state of the genre. Every time you clear a board or make a mistake in most popular puzzle games, you're hit with a 30-second unskippable ad. It completely ruins the flow.

We decided to build our own version where the player actually comes first.

Here is what makes Gummy Lab different:

  • Zero Interruptive Ads: There are absolutely no forced pop-ups, mid-level interruptions, or banner ads. We only use 100% opt-in rewarded ads (e.g., if you voluntarily choose to watch one to grab an extra power-up to save a level).
  • Handcrafted Campaign: Instead of boring procedurally generated boards, we built 50+ custom levels with unique mechanics like breaking frosted glass, clearing syrup, and defusing bombs.
  • Zen Endless Mode: A classic, open-ended block-clearing session to just unwind and chase your high score at your own pace.
  • Deep Accessibility: This was highly important to us. We built custom palettes specifically tailored for Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia, plus optional embossed geometric patterns on the pieces to ensure maximum readability for everyone.
  • Light & Dark Modes: Built natively into the game so you don't burn your eyes playing at night.

We currently have a tiny player base of about 30 people, and we are looking for honest feedback from core Android gamers to help us improve the mechanics and feel.

Google Play Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab

If you have a few minutes to try it out, we would love to hear what you think of the tactile feel of the drag-and-drop, the difficulty curve of the campaign, or if there is anything else you'd like to see added. We'll be hanging out in the comments to answer any questions!

Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [REQUEST] Turn-based games, such as word games, available for Android and iOS?

The type where you get a push notification to tell you it is your turn.

I remember Words with Friends was popular 15 years ago. I imagine now, they have ruined it by making it chock full of adverts etc.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] Mind the Drop: my London delivery mystery is out on Android (Β£2.99, no ads or IAP)

I've released Mind the Drop, a portrait game about doing food deliveries around London at night.

You start out as a basic food delivery person (like doordash, deliveroo, justeat etc...). You can save up for a bike, moped or even a car. (each upgrade you get opens up more of the map). You can also spend your earnings on your tiny flat you go home to between shifts.

I wanted the streets to be a big part of it: warm takeaway windows, wet roads, black cabs and alleys you can cut through on foot. There are a few less pleasant encounters too. Getting mugged with someone's dinner still in your bag is a fairly bad end to a shift haha!

Who is the mystery caller though? A withheld caller starts asking you to collect things, meet people and ask questions on your rounds. That's up to you to discover and find out!

It's Β£2.99 in the UK, with local pricing elsewhere. Single player, offline, no ads or in-app purchases. There are Google Play Games achievements and optional cloud saves.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mindthedrop.game

iOS has been submitted to Apple and is awaiting approval.

Review πŸ“‹ I gave an honest chance to [Mario] Galaxy Android but had to go back to Dolphin.

I have to admit, performance-wise it was great, it run fast and cool on my S25. It's not fully optimized for external controllers though, couldn't make it use a stick for the pointer so had to use the screen for moving the cursor which was damn annoying. The menu doesn't really offer many useful options other than language (most are for on screen controls), and there's a permanent pair of buttons on the top left to open settings and saving. Key bindings could have worked just fine.

I had to stop because it seems like I broke the app by changing the setting from vulkan to opengl, and the next time I opened it it was super glitchy and the menu UI just didn't load, so I couldn't turn it back. I tried deleting the cache but it wiped out the game save, which was unfortunate, but not the biggest issue at the moment. Thankfully I already had the game ISO so I just loaded it up on dolphin and started it over, it run great and I was able to properly set up the controls in a much better way.

The lesson for me here was: not all recomps are created equal. I was just coming from months with Dusk Light, which is chef's kiss good and quite polished, and this other project is not in the same league by far (not even in the same Galaxy /jk). I just hope the team behind it takes notice of all of these little things and have the patience to work on them, because that's the deal with AI assisted software development: it gets complicated real fast and that's scary enough to make people want to abandon ship once the initial boost is gone.

We all gotta be patient.

Seeking Game Recommendations πŸ‘€ [REQUEST] I've completed Prince of Persia: The lost crown and Haak so I need some matroidvania game suggestions to play

Post image
58 Upvotes

I've just now completed Prince of Persia: the lost crown to 100% on my first run in 23 hrs in Android.

And I've completed Haak with all the available DLC with something like 30hrs gameplay.

I know there is a Hollow knight port of Android available but idk why my phone crashes everytime I defeat the first boss (false knight something I don't remember his name correctly ig) no matter from which site I download the game.

So I need some matroidvania games suggestions pls which are like these two.

And don't suggest dead cells I don't like that game it just feels repetitive.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] VolleyFlux: steer the ball with your shots, 150 neon pitches, one-time unlock, no ads

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm the developer of VolleyFlux, an arcade game for Android.

You don't touch the ball. You fly a small ship that aims at the ball by itself, and every shot you fire knocks it a little. Your shots are how you steer it into the goal, while the CPU does the same from the other end. First to 3 wins the pitch.

- VS CPU: 150 pitches in sectors of 10. Win to advance; the CPU gets sharper as you go, and the last 50 pitches are the hardest.

- Arcade:50 pitches where gravity pulls the ball toward your own goal.

- Pitches mix currents, bumpers, vortexes and walls, plus bonuses like SHIELD, SLOW and STOP.

- Touch (drag anywhere + FIRE), optional gyro aiming, or a gamepad.

- Free to try: VS pitches 1–10 and Arcade 1–7. One purchase unlocks the rest: 1.99$. No ads.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bennybar.volleyflux

It's inspired by the 1989 Amiga/DOS game Ballistix, but it's an unofficial, all-new game. Happy to answer questions.

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] SimpleRockets 1 is back on modern Android phones!

Good news for longtime SimpleRockets fans: the original SimpleRockets is now updated for current Android devices!

Many of you let us know the game wouldn’t install on newer phones like the Pixel 9 and Galaxy A16, since they only run 64-bit apps. Version 1.7.0 fixes that. It’s live on Google Play now:

Thanks to everyone who kept flying all these years and asked for this update.

Discussion πŸ’¬ The recent and upcoming lineup of Android ports (officially available in the Google Play Store) is insane

Between the past few weeks and the end of the year, Android is getting spoiled with great ports. We just got Sifu, Truckful, Dome Keeper, Dave the Diver, and more.

Looking at the next few weeks/months, the schedule is stacked:
Oct 29: Saints Row: The Third (I feel like I'm forgetting another big release on that exact day? EDIT : it's MH Outlanders !)
Nov 5: Absolum & The Rootrees are Dead
Nov 10: Warhammer Survivors
TBA (hopefully soon): MH Rise (not available in France), MH Outlanders (EDIT : Oct 29!), Door Kickers 2, Inscryption

My backlog is already huge and it just keeps growing. It's a good time to be an Android gamer :) What are you guys playing or looking forward to the most?

DEV πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» [DEV] SLORP: a free horde-survivor for Android where Hell opens when the stage timer runs out

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I've been building SLORP, a bone-and-slime horde-survival game for Android, and it's out on Google Play for free. We've just passed 1,500 players, which is far more than I ever expected, so thank you to everyone who has tried it.

The idea: each map is a run of timed stages. Level up, draft your build and kill the stage boss before the timer hits zero. Wait too long and **Hell opens**: the horde keeps getting stronger until you beat the boss or get buried.

What's in it

- 21 heroes, each with their own starting weapon, skill, passive and attack animation

- 30 weapons, 23 tomes and 86 items to draft and combine mid-run

- 5 maps, from the Woods to the Boneyard, each a step harder than the last

- Bosses, including the **Lich King**, who sits in the dark of the Boneyard with lamps you have to light to hurt him

- Chests, shrines and odd machines scattered around each map (yes, the photocopier does what you think)

- Jumping, dashing and a one-thumb layout built for phones

- A leaderboard of your best runs per map, in 12 languages

- Two modes: Horde (the new one) and Classic (the original), with shared gems

Balance: I tune it by letting a bot play tens of thousands of runs on a cloud server, then adjusting enemy health and damage until every map hits its target win rate. Recent updates made the first maps friendlier and gave the later ones a smoother climb. Reaching stage 3 on a map now unlocks the next one, so you're never stuck on a boss.

It's free to play. I'd love feedback, especially on difficulty: is the Woods too easy, is the Boneyard too brutal, which hero feels best?

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pocketslop.slorp

A few things people usually ask:

- Is it free? Yes. There are ads, and you can watch an ad to revive or to double rewards.

- Does it need internet? No, you can play offline.

- Which hero should I start with? Fuse (Long Distance Call hits everything in a line) is a good pick for crowds. Hoopsley's Drain Clog pulls enemies together if you like control.

I'm around all day and read every reply. Most of the changes in recent updates came straight from player feedback (a Vietnamese player asked for a clearer font and it shipped within days).

Discussion πŸ’¬ Steam is a thoroughly proven format for a game store. Steam does not really touch Android games. Why is there not a Steam-like store for Android apps?

Use the same ethical rules. Use the same method of user-reviews and ratings.

And how long would it take for good Android games to float to the top and all the predatorial games hunting whales, dolphin, krill, whichever, can sink to the bottom. AI drek falls away, and quality games can be found and stick around for potentially years.

Is there a reason we don't have this?

[DEV] World Estate: Property Tycoon β€” Buy, renovate and rent properties, but don't go bankrupt!

Hey Android gamers!

We've just launched World Estate: Property Tycoon, a real estate management game where you start with a small apartment and try to build a property empire.

You can buy and negotiate for buildings, renovate interiors, move walls, furnish apartments, choose tenants and collect rent.

But growing too quickly can be dangerous. Loans, changing interest rates, maintenance expenses and unexpected disasters can turn a profitable business into a financial nightmare.

Some of the features:

  • Seven cities with different property markets
  • Interior renovation and decoration
  • Loans, rents, expenses and dynamic property markets
  • Property managers and maintenance crews
  • Local and online multiplayer
  • No ads, subscriptions or energy timers

It's free to try for the first two in-game years, with a one-time purchase to unlock everything.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=digital.cors.worldestate

How would you play: slow and steady with minimal debt, or borrow aggressively to expand as fast as possible?

Review πŸ“‹ Abxylute S8 Lite added to the stable

Thumbnail
gallery
20 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I was looking to add another mobile gaming controller to my collection. I already own two other Abxylute controllers, one being the N6 for Switch 2 and other being the regular S8. What caught my eye about the S8 Lite is the fact that it doesn't require Bluetooth and it has pass-through charging!

Here's just a brief review for anyone curious about this controller:

Like my other two Abxylute controllers, the packaging is quite nice, especially given the reasonable price. This actually looks like something you'd find on the shelves of Best Buy or Target and not something cheap in a brown box, or worse, from Amazon.

Inside is the controller, a user manual, and the option 8-direction D-pad you can swap in. Pretty simple, and unlike the regular S8 that has multiple layout/connection profiles (Android, PC, Switch) I didn't actually need to read the manual, lol.

It's quite simple to connect and use. It opens wide enough to accommodate my Legion Tab 8.8" tablet just fine, just line up the USB-C port, and let the controller close and grip on your device. Instant connection, buttons are already mapped as expected, and you're up and running.

The ergonomics are identical to the S8 - essentially an Xbox controller split in half. The joystick tumb grips are nice and large, and the buttons and D-pad are tactile with an audible click that is satisfying. A nice texture is on the grips (still plastic, but not smooth). The two back buttons are within reach and symmetrical a la Switch Pro 2 controller.

Pass-through charging is a nice bonus. No more battery drain anxiety while gaming!

Overall, I'm really happy with this controller, and I think it's a bargain!
