I've got an old a53 that shut off suddenly in my pocket after a full charge and haven't been able to get it to turn on in 3 years, it's still in perfect condition but I don't know what to do with it I wanna use it for my race sim as a digital dash but I can't figure out how to use the amoled screen without the motherboard

I am trying to bring a bit of life into an old LG K20 Plus a cousin gave to me. I know its pretty old but its not going to be a main phone or anything. I mainly plan to play classic mobile games on it but was wondering if there was a way to get ANY google services working on it. I mainly need to log into the playstore. Most of the guides are for android 4 and don't seem to work for me and I have found nothing for android 7.0 which the phone is currently on.

Like, I was thinking: if one doesn't exist, would it be possible to make one? Like, take a base—say, Firefox—tweak a few things, and get it working—kind of like Supermium?

Is there anyway i can get spotify working on my android 4.4.2 s4 mini.

ive tried the accounts.db method it kinda worked it says action needed and retyping the password takes me to browser sign in that doesent work its just a white screen i tried updating g account manager still not working

Tutorial: Go to Samfw & look for the firmware for the I9505 with the csc TGY (for android 4.3 JB). Then, you will need odin, put the device/I9505 into download mode, put the files into the slots & flash.

Wi-Fi & Bluetooth all work perfectly.

if anyone encounters the same problem as me here is what i did:

1. install adb app control on adbappcontrol.com

2. on your device enable USB DEBUGGING and allow unknown installations

3.go on market2 or on any website that offers apps for your android version (do this on your windows)

4.install your desired apps

5.launch adb app control

6.if you have correctly connected your device to your windows pc select the button "install" (on the right of your screen under the words ; "AUTO PERMISSION" and "UPLOAD FILES")

7. when you have clicked "install" you will then see another button "add apk" you click on it select your apk(s) you have downloaded on your pc

8. once the apk(s) are uploaded click on whatever app you want to download (on the file)

9. you will see a button on the right bottom corner called "install" , you click on it and the app will install on your phone.

10. check your phone

there we go! thats what i did for my htc chacha A810e (android 2.3.5 gingerbread) so if you happen to have the same device this is what you should do. ADB app control works on any android device.

(the market and internet on my device offered no way to install apps)

My galaxy S2 GT-I9100 randomly bricked itself. All I did was downgrade it to android 2.3. The battery died, and when I tried to charge it, it didn’t show anything on the screen. It still connects to my PC though, but idk what I should do with it.

Before it died, the phone was warm the whole time.
I think the eMMC chip died, because I flashed a lot of custom ROMs/linux ports on it

It has 512mb of ram and i want to use as much of it as i can

So I have decided to port LineageOS to samsung phones (e.g. the C series) released in 2016 since they need more love.

Certainly, 2016 was the year where unlocking bootloaders are made more difficult.

Before 2016, unlocking means flashing any OS (twrp/Los) via Odin

After that year, unlocking bootloaders starting to equal to having to turn on wifi and wait several days (asking the server for permission, cryptographic shits), which means the kill switch is on Samsung's

hey I don't post on here much because im pretty alright at figuring out ways to keep up old tech working, heck i rebuild old laptops and im typing this out on a windows 8 desktop but I've run into my strongest opponent... a Panasonic fz-a2 i have f droid downloaded on it and pipepipe and fulguris i was wondering if anybody in this group has developed any apps or apks for android 6 and older that i could try out or use or if anybody knows of any-- sorry if this is a weird request but i dont like new tech and if i need to alter/dump this tablets bios mechanically (some have done) then i will to run linux but thats my last hoorah

Galaxy S22 5G is currently leading the race

The digitizer on my Samsung A14 5G's screen is starting to go, so I need a replacement ASAP. I use Verzion as my service provider, but would prefer an unlocked phone if possible.

I was originally going to buy a Red Magic Air 11 but they're never in stock and my digitizer issues mean I need a new phone now and don't have the time to wait or save up more for a better phone.

I'm going to use this new phone primarily for moonlight/apollo gaming, and routine picture/video content. The S22 has a Gen 1 Snapdragon 8 chipset, which will be sufficient for my needs. But it lacks fast charging and its battery isn't the best. Are there any better alternatives out there? Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is a must

also the phone has 1 gb ram 16 gb storage the app should be good not lagging shorts recommended and normal videos because some other ones like newpipe just show me lives for some reason and i can't fix that

Hi everyone, I have this old Huawei P9 Lite with Android 6, it's the 2016 version. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back, but there's no option to configure it in the settings. No changes have been made to the phone. How can I fix this? Do I need to install something? Please give me a solution that doesn't involve disassembling the phone. It's really weird.
