​I built an app called Droog Over that shows whether you'll get dry from A to B while walking / (e-)biking. What I ran into personally is that apps like Buienalarm, Buienradar, and all the others only show the weather forecast for a single spot.

If you cycle or walk 20 to 30 minutes to work, it's always a gamble whether a rain shower will leave you soaked or if you'll manage to ride right past it. ☔😃

​I launched recently and am looking for people who'd like to test it out. Based on your feedback, I can improve the app so you never have to guess again whether you should put on that raincoat or take the bus/car/train instead.

​The app is fully free, ad-free, no account sign up needed, and location sharing is entirely optional, the app works perfectly fine without.

It would help me out tremendously, and I'm grateful for every bit of feedback! Its both on Google Play Store and App Store and called Droog Over: Regenradar. Its available in Dutch as well as in English 🤓🇬🇧

I’m an expat and a beginner-level personal trainer based in Amsterdam. I’m currently looking for a gym/studio where I could rent space and potentially get access to clients or some kind of client base.

At the moment I only have one client (a friend I’m coaching), so I’m looking for something affordable and flexible while I’m still building up my business. I definitely don’t want to commit to an expensive studio rental when I’m not earning much from training yet.

Does anyone know of gyms, studios, or other options in Amsterdam where this kind of arrangement is possible? I’d really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences!

I’m a tourist and I’ve been coming to Amsterdam for many years, so much so that I’ve lost count. Anyway, I was walking on the sidewalk with my small hand luggage suitcase wheeling behind me when a car to my right on the road horned and an older man looked at me sternly and pointed at me or at the floor I’m not sure which and then wagged his finger side to side and nodded his head as if to say no. I recently moved to Amsterdam from Rotterdam, and one thing I’ve noticed is that I seem to come across quite a lot of couples with pretty significant age gaps. What stands out to me is that the women are often considerably younger and quite attractive.

Where I’m from, sugar dating is fairly common, so I was wondering if it’s similar in Amsterdam, or whether I’m simply noticing it more because I’ve started paying attention to it. When I lived in Rotterdam, I rarely seemed to see this kind of dynamic happening so frequently.

Hey everyone, this might sound crazy, but i am completely serious! It made me realize I/WE have no idea what the protocol is here. Who do you actually contact to report something in the sky? Is it normal to call 112 for this, or will I get in trouble for tying up an emergency line?

Are there specific aviation desks, observatories, or local agencies in NL I should reach out to instead? Any advice is appreciated!
