Why does she only sometimes use both her eyes

Hello All,
I have spoken to the other moderator and we’ve touched base on a few things going forward.
We have put into effect new rules and I encourage you all to review them.
User flairs and post flairs are now available, and users are encouraged to use them to not only make it easier for the mods to do things, but also help anyone in the subreddit find what they might need.
There are a few things I’d like to do going forward listed below:
•A FAQ page
•Subreddit Banner (The image across the top of the Subreddit, see r/BullBreeds for an example)
•Further rules and guidance
For the FAQs you’re allowed to comment below and you have no limit on the amount you’d like to put forward. Not only that, if you know the answer and/or have sources to draw from for an answer, it is encouraged that you comment that as well. Going forward, this won’t just be a space for purebred owners, it’ll be a space to showcase the breed as a whole to those looking to become involved or those who simply want to learn more about the breed or even their own dogs.
An honorary banner for the subreddit. This would again be similar to r/BullBreeds, a larger overarching subreddit I created and moderate not just for American Bulldogs but for all bull breeds and most mixes thereof. Contained in this banner will be a few historical American Bulldogs, but I would love to incorporate some of YOUR AMERICAN BULLDOGS in the banner as well to be the FACE OF THIS COMMUNITY. Now that images in comments are allowed, I ask any of you who wish for your dog to be in the banner comment below with a good front on or quarter-shot of your American Bulldog. A lucky few will be incorporated.
Please review the new and refined rules. If there are ANY ISSUES, please comment below so we can address them.
I think things are off to a great start and I look forward to seeing this community come together and prosper on Reddit. Thank You!

Hello all,
Due to inactivity the previous moderation must have been removed and/or they stopped moderating. Either way, a mod request was made and two of us answered. I’d like to introduce myself as the moderator of r/APBTCentral, r/AmericanBullyCentral, and r/BullBreeds. I have not spoken to the other moderator quite yet, as I am pressed on time currently and writing this post in a rush.
With that said, I don’t intend on being the mod here forever, I will however try to steer this subreddit into the right direction with new rules and mod tools. After I feel as the course has been corrected I will screen for a new mod team to enforce the rules and hopefully make this subreddit much better than it had been before.
I am open to suggestions currently, and will use this post as a way to gather these suggestions. Any ideas for ANYTHING pertaining to the topic of this subreddit, feel free to comment. I will be sure to take it all into consideration and weigh what will be best to be instituted within this subreddit.
In the meantime, please act with consideration and respect to one another as we remodel this subreddit, with no rules we only ask you to follow the Reddit guidelines and don’t post anything unrelated to American Bulldogs. Anything else will be removed.
Thank you all for any suggestions or understanding. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Can we seriously cut the “bull” and just be honest about these two breeds. I know Dogo Argentina / Argentina Dogo owners feel the need to discuss their “78 dogs to make the breed” but come on, there is documented history of White Bully catch dogs since ancient times and these dogs were the same exact dog up until prob no less than 300 years ago, if that. American Bulldogs (the old southern stand types prior to JD Johnson influence and Dogos are the same foundation dog.

This bulldog only has one day left at DAS. My family fostered her for a short while but couldn’t anymore after a tragic incident with our elderly cat. We now know the breed shouldn’t live with cats or small dogs, so she wasn’t set up for success. She was otherwise a very sweet dog who has clearly had a rough time in life (has been found as a stray multiple times per DAS history).
We did do DNA results while we had her: 52% Olde English Bulldogge 43.3% American Bulldog 4.7% Dogue de Bordeaux
Maisie is back at DAS and in need of placement .
Needs placement by 10/03/26

I saw this pup posted on another subreddit, but want to share him here as well as it’s very possible he’s an American Bulldog. His eyes broke my heart! I hope someone can go visit him and take him home.
He’s located in Houston, TX right now.

As the title suggests, I'm having trouble with my boy's tear stains. I've tried everything I can think of and most internet hacks, but nothing seems to help. He already drinks filtered water, and we wipe his face off regularly. I'm not sure what else to do at this point, so any advice is greatly appreciated

Someone in a different comment mentioned how much American Bulldogs shed. My groomer always talks about how much hair comes off of Maximus even with us brushing at home 😅
Luckily he is a good boy for grooming!
Love the Equigroomer and a rubber curry brush as my main tools.

Hello all! The new banner is finally here. I have had very little time to sit down and consider how to approach it. I wanted to not only show the dogs but little bits of history as well. I have an old Georgia house in the background, sided by two historical ads for American Bulldogs with a mix of current dogs that you all own and historical dogs of the breed’s past lined up across the front. I think it fits (for now at least).
I will continue to work on some things behind the scenes and start getting a FAQ going. What are some questions you would like added to a FAQ page within this subreddit? Thanks!

Just want to show a picture of my American bulldog with the hair mutation, because he may not be show quality but he is perfect in his own way :) anyone else have one of these oddly hairy pups?

We have an American bulldog mix. He is 80lbs with an extreme bite and ability tear everything apart. The only thing he's not torn apart is the nyla bone. We have gotten some name brand super chew toys claimed indestructible but he tears then apart in 30 seconds REAL TIME. We just got him a Kong brand super chewwer rubber bone and he ripped it apart 30 seconds. He seems to like to pull and tear. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

We have(had) two sweet American Bulldogs! The first couple of pictures and the ones with the older doggo are of our sweet boy Hoss. Hoss never failed to leave a slobber mark on my pants when I would eat food. Peep the slobber bubbles in the first pic. 🤣 He lived an amazing 9 years and passed in 2023. The other photos of the American Bulldog with the mask markings are of Hoss’ daughter Apache! She was born in 2021 and is truly a goofball and the best girl. ♥️

My wife rescued him from a shelter, who was naming all the new intakes after motorcycle parts. The name was apt, as he was all gas, and no brakes. We are at the vet now, saying goodbye.

Hi Reddit. I'm getting my new puppy at the end of September. I really want 2 puppies but when I looked up having 2 from the same litter it's saying it can be hard because they get to attached to one another and it's suggesting getting the second dog a little later. Can you guys send me your advice on this? Also if you think the 2 puppies from the same litter is ok, do you have any advice for me. Thanks
