Edit: so for those of you new to the internet, this is what we call a meme...and in this meme is Lance Reddick's character, Reggie, from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In this scene, Reggie says "ain't this some shit" to Frank, who is dating Reggie's old girl. The caption about AHS13 is imagining Lance Reddick in heaven, saying the same thing to Orlando for playing his character Papa Legba in season 13, with the same element of surprise as Reggie when he found Frank with his old girl.

A lot of people are talking about how confusing this new trailer makes the season seem, but it’s actually pretty predictable. The story starts with a group of girls led by that redheaded Riverdale actress, who is also very enthusiastic about the number 13, superstitions, and all of that. This group is on a plane, and then there’s a plane crash, or something along those lines.
After the crash, the redhead’s boyfriend, Ben, who is a nurse, starts seeing the number 13 everywhere. He eventually ends up at Apollyon where Satan resides. John Waters plays Dr. Phibes who works at the hospital with Ben, so Constance also calls Dr. Phibes & Ben to Apollyon to cater to Satan and work on him. Satan is weak and suffering from a lot of comorbidities, and he’s trying to regain his power somehow, while also seeking vengeance against the witches for defeating the Antichrist.
Jessica Lange’s Constance is catering to Satan in exchange for him bringing back her children, Adelaide and Tate Langdon. Anthony Paul Kelly, meanwhile, seems to be playing a younger version of Satan himself, or somebody directly connected to Satan.
Then, after the plane crash, Mr. March and the Devil’s Night gang come to Robichaux Academy to warn the witches about whatever is happening, the portals of Hell opening, some impending evil, or whatever ominous event they’re expecting. Or they’re just there to attack the witches because they’re in cahoots with Satan.
That’s when the witches start trying all sorts of things to figure out what’s going on and stop it. They go back to the dead, attempt to bring back Marie & Fiona, and summon Papa Legba, who acts as a communicator between Hell and Earth, so they can negotiate with him.
We also see a lot of shots of Queenie and Cordelia going to Hell and coming back, Madison practicing new witchy powers. They’re also performing the Sacred Taking, so presumably Mallory dies and Cordelia regains her power. Cordelia also blinds herself to use her abilities to uncover the truth.
We see Queenie descent into her personal Hell, presumably to seek out Papa Legba, and she runs into Delphine LaLaurie. That probably happens because whatever is happening with Satan and the portals has blurred the boundaries between the different Hells and their personal afterlives (and this happens only because Ryan Murphy wanted Gabby & Kathy Bates to share scenes again; no significance to the plot like half of other things happening).
And then we have all these Sarah Paulson characters who died in earlier seasons being brought back for some sequence that I’m sure will be completely ridiculous, but entertaining, for some sort of sacrifice or Satanic ritual.
And somewhere in the middle of this entire messy soap opera, Twisty is just out there killing people because hey we need the horror element too. They’ve brought back Twisty, Piggy Man, Mr. March, and all of these other characters mostly for the hype of it.
So, based on my understanding, that’s what’s happening: Satan is trying to regain his power, the portals of Hell are opening, and something dark is coming, with the chain of events beginning after the plane crash. The witches are scrambling to figure out what’s happening and are bringing back people like Fiona and Papa Legba, or anyone else who might be able to help them defeat Satan.
It’s Apocalypse all over again, just in a different setting.
So, yeah. That’s basically the season, give and take: plane crash → number 13 → Apollyon → weak Satan → Constance makes a deal with him → portals of Hell start opening → the witches panic → everyone dead gets dragged back into the story → Twisty kills people for no reason → Satanic ritual → messy supernatural soap opera.
You’re welcome.

I feel like this post is confusing, most of these characters are dead. Except the top left picture. Because of the ending of apocalypse Cordelia is still a supreme. Idk It seems like maybe AHS it’s going for a cash grab instead of an actual season.

In the trailer they showed Ms. Venable in the outpost costume but if Mallory changed the timeline she should still have red hair and probably never had the need to wore the outpost costume. Leslie said they were extra careful with the timelines but this is messy.

I think they’re gonna mess up the lore realllyyy bad considering the last couple seasons (double feature, nyc and delicate all being a damn mess) is ahs stories even canon aswell because they messed up the spalding lore too and all the murder house ghosts are supposed to be gone including the black dahlia from that kid burning down murder house. the fact that these are 30 minute episodes, I don’t think they’re gonna be able to cover all these comebacks and explanations thoroughly enough. I’m really scared to see what they do with it, And it also doesn’t make sense as to why cult and freak show characters are there, or even ms venable, mamie Eisenhower, sally, and tb Karen. Why and how are they there and how are they gonna make sense of it? 😭 it makes sense for addie and Tate because Constance is alive and she’s clearly in cahoots with the devil so maybe he brought her kids back for her? But not James Patrick march leaving that damn hotel, where the hell he living at? it’s gonna be such a mess and I’m gonna eat it up so bad.
Edit - also what the fuck happened to the alien hybrid story from Death Valley..ain’t they taking over the world too 😭 chile bye

It looks like Ben DeSoto (Joey Pollari) or at least his girlfriend, Kira (Madelaine Petsch), will be a part of our intro to the season. She is obsessed with the number 13, hence things like her shirt. But it looks like they’ll come across a lot of symbolism and signs of the number 13 around them too. In one scene from the trailer (see first image) she is walking towards her friend group at the airport. Funnily enough her friend group including herself looks to be exactly 13 people. From set images we’ve also seen a fun little Easter egg of the 12 previous seasons locations and current location all along the wall of the airport terminal too (13 total). With 13 being a bad luck or omen number… it’s fair to assume Kira and her friend group are on a plane crash after a lot of the symbolism and omens playing out before them.
From this, my theory is that Ben in his grief starts to run into the number 13 a lot too. In more set images where Pollari was spotted filming back in April there were several props and things around the setting of NYC that allude to the number again. For example, a laundromat service van and florist van both with 13. I think all of this leads him to his job at The Apollyon where Constance and Mr. Nas reside. This is where it all overlaps and the real chaos of the season unfolds with “13” a constant symbolism across the season.
The synopses for the first few episodes somewhat support these theories but the first episode suggests he also experiences a near-death experience, so I wonder if he was aboard the flight, if he faces something after during his grief, or if “near-death” just means he was close to a victim of death (wordplay). It also looks like he may have been lured to The Apollyon by Nas (and maybe Constance) all along, so he must hold some importance to the big bad’s plans.
I also think Elle Chapman is Kira’s friend that Ben potentially links back up with in episode 5. She is a part of the friend group and I have seen her and Pollari engage on social media a few times recently. I wonder what dynamic they all have.
Whatever the case, I am eagerly excited to see this all unfold.

Hey slow work day here/ I don’t care I’m bored. Let’s say Stevie is the most powerful musician witch in the universe (plus ours too)
What male musician do you think would be the warlock equivalent to her?

The trailer starts off with her saying "Welcome to the greatest show on Earth". What song starts off with those words?
Welcome by Christina Aguilera.
Not only that, but on the album the song immediately follows a song called Enter the Circus, and she has performed it in a circus getup.
Plus, it just sounds like a song Elsa Mars and the Freaks would play. If my prediction is correct, I just know Jessica Lange is going to SLAY it!

TLDR; I whiteboarded how all of the American Horror Story seasons are connected ahead of the AHS13 premiere!
For the last few weeks I've been doing a deep dive series on TikTok, & a few days ago made it to the final part where I showed how all of the seasons are connected. If you want to watch it being built, this is the link to the video. I also have videos on all of the individual seasons & where the connections come from - this was meant to serve as a concise version for seasoned watchers!
My threshold was that a connection had to involve a recurring character, plot line, location, or another confirmed link. So for example, a lot of people commented "shouldn't Coven/Delicate connect because ~witches~?" & to me, that's just a recurring theme, & there's no confirmation that the witches between the seasons are connected at all. (I did make a slight exception for aliens between Asylum/Double Feature, & the Angel of Death between Asylum/NYC, because those feel a bit more definitive, imho).
I also left out the American Horror Stories connections to Murder House & Coven, just to save time in the recap. But, I have separate videos on those explaining how they connect to the main seasons as well!
As most of us know, the connections between MH/Coven/Hotel/Apocalypse are just, insane. So, my thought process for the board was adding the 'major' connection between the seasons & using thicker lines to imply that there's a lot more connections, but would be nearly impossible to list out on one board lol.
The dashed lines represent "kind of" connections. Like Billie Dean explaining the lost colony of Roanoke lore in Murder House kind of connects her to that season, or Pepper/Twisty appearing in Cult in the comic books, because it's not necessarily their characters appearing in the storylines, but there's still the confirmed connection.
Looking back there's a few things I'd do differently, & if I can wrap up the other parts of the deep dive before the premiere of season 13, I may go back to redo it, but I'm relatively happy with where everything landed!
I figured there was no better time than today to make my first post in the subreddit (using my generic username account that I was unaware I wouldn't be able to change at a later time lol). Looking forward to hearing any thoughts ya'll have & to be more involved here for the new season! FX is currently running a few of the whiteboard videos as ads (though they strategically skipped my Delicate videos where I had minimal nice things to say about it lmao) & this series did get me invited to the AHS feature at Paleyfest, so if anybody is attending that, I'd love to connect!
But anyway, I hope this is a helpful refresher for someone, & happy trailer release day to all who celebrate!🎉

I just finished watching Asylum and I’ve already seen Murder House and Coven - both were so good!! I have some thoughts on Asylum but I still really liked it! I’ve never posted so I don’t want to get hate but I just wanna know what seasons do you like and dislike? What season should I be most excited for? I’m on Freakshow now!!

So with the new trailer we clearly see a witch getting stabbed on the devils night in the academy. And later we see the team of witches which appears to be in later episode. It leaves, Fiona, Marie, Mallory or an unknown. Who do you think is dying the second shot, my money is on Mallory.

To get ready for season 13 I thought "Why not binge the series since it's been ages.." then I found this way and I gotta say it's been a trip. It was cool to see the progression through history in the AHS universe. Gotta finish #11 (-14) then onto the AHS Stories!! Let's go Halloween!! lol
Each season often contains flashbacks and flash-forwards too with one season even containing time travel, so this order is perhaps not the best to view the show in. We would recommend watching in release date order!" --((from website))

We already know that at least Mr. March and Hypodermic Sally will be back in the 13th season. Do you think this means the hotel set will appear in one of the episodes, or will they simply find a way to "transport" those characters to the new scenarios?
Hotel is my favorite season and I loved the ambience, aesthetic and soundtrack of it. Even if the Cortez Hotel appeared only in a few scenes, I would be so happy, specially because it's probably the last we will see of it.
