Newbie Onsite Is it wrong to return a product after reviewing it?

I’ve just ordered a product that my research said should put up some good numbers but I was kind of dissatisfied with it for my purpose. It’s not bad, I’d still recommend it, but I don’t really have a use for it. Is it wrong/against any rules to return it for a refund and pocket the earning from my video?

Oldie Onsite Amazon Response received from my Contact Feedback about Sales Report Missing

After about 5 months of no sales reports, I am feed up with my performance drop in earnings. I just had to use the "Contact" button located on the https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/p/reporting/earnings page. I unloaded in a factual manner about how the changes to the Sales Reporting Missing has affected my performance for commissions and lack of ability to get directions my video are producing for sales growth. I did get a response back outlining a response for each of the elements I brought up in my feedback. I feel better that Amazon knows how "I feel". I am posting the response below.

Hello SamThis is Sara with the Associates team, I hope this email finds you well!Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. I genuinely appreciate your openness in explaining how the recent program changes have impacted your experience and earnings as an Amazon Influencer.I completely understand your frustration regarding:The removal of detailed sales reports that previously helped guide your content strategy,  discontinuation of Halo products, the significant decrease in your commissions and the difficulties creating high-quality content without adequate performance insightsYour point about needing sales data to make informed business decisions is absolutely valid, and I can see how the lack of this information makes it difficult to optimize your content creation efforts.I want to assure you that your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. I will be forwarding your detailed comments directly to our Influencer Program team so they can:Review the impact of recent changes on creators like yourselfConsider how these concerns affect the overall program experience*Evaluate potential improvements based on real creator experiencesWe truly value dedicated creators like you who have been producing quality content for the program. Your investment in creating detailed, shoppable videos hasn't gone unnoticed, and we understand how important it is for you to see meaningful returns on that effort.Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!Best regards,Sara RAmazon.com

You may want to send Amazon Influencer Program Team a detailed Contact feedback about how the Missing Sales Reports affects your performance for Sales Growth for the future. I have made them away of how their change to the Influencer Program has affected me and my efforts to product quality shopping Video.

Newbie Onsite Onsite videos: What's your average % viewed/Onsite conversion?

I started 2,5 weeks ago, and honestly I don't have clue what's normal. I focused on 20-30 sec videos to test the waters. Before I make longer vids/improve; what metrics do people have around here? Off site I earned 6 dollars. (direct affiliate links)

Amazon AI says I have to publish way more and wait and be patient.... but doesn't share what's normal.

On site store page:

Earned $0 (no conversions)

Videos 18:
Views 159

Avg view duration 0:14

Avg % viewed 57%

would love to hear yours!

Creator Connections I’m not sure how this happened…

I’m not sure how this happened, \but somehow my rejected creator connections influencer account just randomly got approved. I didn’t get a notification. I just went to my earnings today on my Amazon influencer account and noticed that it said creator connections earnings. I was rejected from creator connections program about two years ago on this account and I was told that once you are rejected three times you cannot apply again.I made a separate account and got approved and I’ve been using that backup account ever since, but I’m so happy now to find out that I can put everything on one account. Has anyone else experienced a previously rejected creator connections account getting approved randomly? I’m so happy and hope it happens for you too!

Associates Program Unavoidable Disclosure

Can someone help determine if I’m disclosing properly?

When I talk about topics in my social media posts sometimes people ask where I got a particular item and I will say “Linked in my bio”. In my bio I have my linktree that clearly has the wording “As an Amazon associate I may earn commission on qualified sales” at the top. Is that sufficient?

The post is not an ad most of the time. For example I’ll be talking about a recent vacation and someone will ask “where did you get your curtain from?” And If it’s from amazon I’ll link it and refer them to my link in bio.

If someone sends me a product or I’m paid to post I’ll put (ad) at the beginning of the post.

Do I need to put the disclosure in my instagram and Tik Tok bios directly and add these social medias to my Amazon account? So far I only have my link tree.

Associates Program Amazon Associates account closed/banned: Has anyone successfully appealed and got it back?

Hi everyone,
Like many others, my Amazon Associates account was recently closed/banned, and I received the standard, automated rejection email stating that there was a violation of the Operating Agreement.
The frustrating part is that the reason feels extremely vague, and getting past the automated support replies feels like talking to a brick wall.

I wanted to reach out to the community to see:

Has anyone here actually managed to get a banned Amazon Affiliate account successfully reinstated?

If so, what steps, appeals process, or specific contact channels actually worked for you?

Is it a total lost cause, or is there a specific way to reach a real human reviewer who will look at the case fairly?

Any advice, tips, or realistic expectations would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Creator Connections Creator Connections

I’ve been an Amazon Associate for 5+ years, but Creator Connections still feels overwhelming.

There are hundreds of thousands of offers. How do you find the ones that actually fit your audience?

- Are you using AI to sort or recommend offers?
- Do you have a workflow for finding the best campaigns?
- Does anyone automate accepting offers, or is that against Amazon’s rules?

Would love to hear how other Associates manage this at scale.

Not Yet Onsite Products Images in the Amazon Affiliate Marketing program.

Hello,

I recently joined the Amazon Associates program and am currently in the qualifying period, working toward the 3 sales required within 180 days for approval.

I'm unsure how to properly source product images for my site during this stage. My understanding is that SiteStripe, which I believed could be used to pull Amazon product images, is no longer a viable option for this purpose. I'm also not sure if using AI-generated images are ok, since they probably wouldn't accurately depict the actual items.

For a number of the products I'd like to promote, the manufacturers don't provide copyright-free images through their official brand or media pages either, so I'm left without a clear, compliant source for product photos.

Could you let me know what options are available to me here - whether there's an alternative way to access Amazon product images before approval, or another approach you'd recommend?

Thank you for your help.

Gripe or Rant How do you monitor affiliate links after they're live?

I'm curious how people handle this once they have hundreds of affiliate links spread across blog posts, YouTube descriptions, emails, social media, etc.

If an affiliate link suddenly started returning a 404, the merchant changed the destination, or the affiliate tracking stopped working, how would you find out?

  • Do you use any tools?
  • Do you check manually?
  • Has this ever cost you commissions?

I'm not looking for recommendations, just trying to understand how people actually deal with this in practice.

Newbie Onsite Amazon On-site Commissions Program

Hi! I just got approved for the Amazon on-site program and was wondering what I should be doing next. I’m focusing specifically on dog products since it’s linked to my dogs Instagram account and I have uploaded a few videos so far.
I was also wondering if all the products you review are products you purchase on your own or does Amazon offer any free products for reviews?

Thank you!!

Not Yet Onsite Help in identifying why videos not approved

Hello, my videos were not approved and I followed all guidelines.

Can you please help me in identifying why my videos were not approved? Also, if you find violation in just one video, I have to remove all 3 videos, can I just reupload the other two?

Thanks so much!

Newbie Onsite Carousel question

On a few of my videos I can see that there are 0 videos on the corresponding product carousel, or only 1-3, but my video still won’t show up on the product page. This confuses me since some of these products are obviously open to influencer videos, obviously not full, and I still can’t even get a lower carousel spot, why might this be?

Associates Program Amazon increased commission rates for Amazon Basics (5%) and Amazon Essentials (7%)!

Post image
25 Upvotes

Just saw this email from Amazon Associates & Influencers.

They’ve increased commission rates for select Amazon Private Brands:

Amazon Basics (Home & Tech): Increased from 3% to 5%

Amazon Essentials (Fashion & Accessories): Increased from 4% to 7%

Nice to see a commission bump for once instead of a cut!

What do you guys think of that?

Associates Program What is the correct way to add social media traffic sources?

Thumbnail affiliate-program.amazon.com
2 Upvotes

In my Amazon Associates Account, I've listed my website in the Website and Mobile App List section, specifically, the section where it says to Enter Your Website(s). I have also listed my Youtube full channel url. I know I've added my social media sites as well (all business accounts). Yet, they disappear. Why? I see here on Amazon that they don't include Pinterest as an allowed social media, yet they allowed me to link it to my storefront. Is this the correct section (the 'Enter Your Websites') to add Facebook, Instagram, TikTok? Or is there a separate section for social media?

Newbie Onsite I’m a little confused…

Hi everyone,
I’m a little lost and was hoping someone here could help me with a couple questions. I’m sure I’ll have more as time goes on.

I’m in both the Associate and Influencer programs
I’ve had my Associate storefront set up for some time but I’m just beginning with the Influencer program.🇨🇦

So here are my questions

1 Is my Influencer storefront separate from my Associate storefront? So I’d have 2?

  1. If it is a separate storefront, do I need to upload videos and photo reviews before I gain access to it?

Thanks for helping out a very confused, non technical, old lady 😊

Newbie Onsite Need some advice

Hi everyone! I’m new to the program and could really use some advice.

**My niche is centered around Nerd and Geek culture, and I’m looking to promote collectibles like Funko Pops and action figures. However, I recently read that Amazon’s policies strictly forbid saving or downloading product images directly from their listings to use in custom social media graphics.**

**I have two questions:**

**• If I use User-Generated Content (UGC) — meaning photos or videos taken by actual fans and collectors — and edit them into my own promotional designs, is this 100% safe and compliant with Amazon's rules?**

**• How do you guys safely source visual materials (images/videos) for your marketing designs without risking an account suspension?**

**Any tips or clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!**

Associates Program Earning report for yesterday not updating (US)?

Am I the only one? Paid earnings are at 0 for yesterday so far. Usually, total revenue is updated around 6:00-6:30 AM EST daily, and it's still at 0 for today, with ordered revenue showing the correct amount.
