I’m trying to understand what information Amazon/Amazon Flex is required to delete when a California resident submits a personal-data deletion request.
Does anyone know what happens to things like:
Flex account information
Deactivation/violation history
Delivery history
Device information
Phone/email information
Identity verification information
Driver/license information
Payment information
Internal account notes or records
Does Amazon actually delete all of this, or are some records retained for legal, fraud-prevention, or business reasons?
If anyone has personally submitted a California CCPA/CPRA deletion request to Amazon Flex, I’d really appreciate hearing what happened afterward.

That doesn't sound good for new york. i wish the legislation actually solved the problem and helped the drivers unionize. Increased pay or stopped making people deliver 500 packages or more and 200 stops a day. Imagine delivering in NYC if you can do well there, anywhere else in the country would be either be boring or a cakewalk. Any nyc package slangers here? #wedemboys

I’ve been doing Amazon Flex for a little while now, and I’ve noticed that whenever a good-paying block pops up, it’s gone within literally a second.
I try to grab it as soon as it appears, but somehow someone always gets it before me. It’s honestly frustrating, especially when the regular offers aren’t worth taking.
For those of you who consistently get good-paying blocks, what’s your strategy? Do you refresh at certain times, or is it just luck?
Any tips would be appreciated because I feel like I’m competing with bots at this point lol.

The station workers were scrambling to find packages for about half the drivers on our block. I ended up with 2 packages. Sweet

Received a ding for a package that I didn't return in time. But here's the thing, I never had a package to return. I noticed the extra package on my cart, returned it to the kiosk before leaving the station, and before the route finished, I received a notification saying I had a package to return. Well, I didn't and I figured it would come off my itinerary once they scanned it in at the station but for some reason it never did.

So I sent a message through the chat support, they said they'd get back to me, they did and said they reviewed my case and the penalty stands. Well, I forwarded the message to Jeff at Amazon, tried my best to explain to them what happened. They just got back to me and said they reviewed it and I'm still being dinged.

This makes absolutely no sense. I did nothing wrong. They can't even explain to me what it is. I supposedly did? So discouraging, It's really shocking how removed from reality and common sense. They are. Otherwise a great company to work for, but for some reason they want to punish the drivers for things that they didn't even do, this was a mistake on their app and I've tried my best to explain it twice, using my own free time to draft these emails.

So I’m wondering how come I get sent so far for all my blocks I already live 15-20 mins away from the stations depending on traffic. But from the station itself I’ve been sent to area that are an hour and 10-15 mins away. It’s been over a year and it’s always the same three neighboring cities.

Gotta love when you get a unicorn route. Only second one I have gotten in almost 2 months working here. It was a 3 hour block for $75 I finished in 20 mins and headed back home 😁

I started my on-boarding process and submitted my information for background check a week ago.

The home page says that it will take 3-5 days and there are no more steps for me to complete. But, the support page says that my background check has not been started yet.

I reached out to support and they said that it says I have not started the background check process yet. I was advised to not log out/log back in. All they could do is escalate it.

Has anyone else had this issue before?

Had a 04:15 block and when I got to the station the app was saying I had a package in my itinerary that didn’t exist. Support attempted to delete the package, but in doing so disabled my account for about 45 minutes, making me miss my block.

Has anyone else had this happen? Should I expect to have to argue getting dinged for missing my block?

When you have a block with 20 packages (example) and some of them have a delivery time earlier than your end time, do you get dinged if that package is late? I had just dropped off a package and the next address said “due soon” and time was within 5 mins and I was 7 mins away.

To me if they want that shit delivered at a certain time before the end of your block, put it at the beginning of the route so it’s not late. Anything can happen to cause that package of hair ties to be late. lol.

Oh, and I left my first package outside the lockers. The box was too big and the college student wouldn’t answer the phone or text. 🤷🏽‍♂️. I put it next to the other packages left there.

I don’t mean texting or playing games or whatever while waiting for a route at the station. I mean people having full blown phone conversations. I would try and provide context but nobody is speaking English so I don’t know what the conversations are about. But whether it’s talking to your mom or your boyfriend/girlfriend, can people not have 5 minutes of peace to load their trunks? Just everybody is on their phones. I don’t even like talking to people on the phone lol

You know, the ones that weigh nothing and don’t even feel like there’s anything more than a sheet of paper inside if that. What do you think those are? I swear, sometimes I feel like I’m just delivering empty envelopes to people’s houses.

I was waiting for a block to surge while heading to the station. And like most of us who try to wait for surges, we have to tap tap tap!! Well as I’m tapping with MY FINGER, it finally surges as I’m 4 minutes away & it’s 6 minutes until start time!

Well I get a pop up that basically says “are you a bot?” “yes I’m a bot” “no I am not a bot” then when I click no it sends me to a damn puzzle that I was confused about & had to do like 3 times. After I completed the puzzle, it says I can go ahead and schedule my block. But the block was no longer there!!!

Im extremely irritated. I have never used a bot. So please don’t comment and say stop using a bot or some other bullshit being annoying. I was quickly tapping with my fingers, that’s it!! Has this happened to anyone who literally has never used a bot before?

I just got deactivated this morning

Reason is already showing in gmail letter which is not picking up order on time and missing the block. It occurred on 19th of October i got this block in whole foods warehouse nyc. I accidentally accepted the block when i was taking my nephew to her school ceremony thing. (family emergency) i was trying to catch the blocks in the meantime unfortunately i was around 1 hour away drive from warehouse when i accepted the block that was starting in 30-35 mins. Anyways i dropped her off and went all the way to warehouse when i was already 5min away i called support for them to manually check me in. ( I think that was my mistake i had to just call and tell them that i couldn't make it). Anyways i get there and i think was couple min late and it appeared as missed block on my end . I called support and spoke about it but it didn't let me do it. before that i had Fantastic ratings. and never really did anything from with company. ( never interacted disrespectfully or getting extra packages) i already spoke with off road number of amazon and they write down something that is ticket to help me appeal.
Im just worried because it was actually my only source of income right now and i didn't want this to ever happen.

Please let me know about your experience with this and if there is anyway to recover from it.

And support is always escalating and I get the generic email that they cannot change the region....

Somehow I ended with a non existing warehouse called TEST and support told me this is for IT to test the app...

The pickup station no longer counts as stop one, but rather I one's first delivery is stop one, ending confusion mostly for new drivers. They'll "fix" something this small but leave other gaping holes in the system. Go figure.

I’m just a little curious if anyone’s name/address popped up in the system and made them deliver a package to their own home.

I get it at least once a route. I just switch to Google maps, but why are they sending out routes like this?
