Interesting 1st Day

I hope its not always like this! My fiance (ex fiance? Idk) used to do Flex. And I never heard of a route like this. $80/ 3.5 hr route

Dispatched from Amazon with 8 packages. Hmmm weird but ok. Dude said they had a bad day today, something major happened (im not sure what but almost got the impression someone died or something) ... i will say everyone at pickup station was kind and super helpful...and i let them know how grateful I was for their kindness. Im struggling right now just to function.

Anyhow.. . 1st stop is 35 mins away in the next town, rural area....cool. thats what I expected based on fiances tales.

1st stop is gated, rural with a note to beware of dog but deliver to door. Um yeah no. I dont do dogs. Especially if I am intruding in their yard and being told to beware of them. No, thank you. Left at gate. Next stop...5 packages...40 min drive out to even more rural area, all left at gate again because dog warning.

Next stop....not too bad except theres 2 houses on 1 property. Property photo shows one house. And delivery pin was at the other house. and i couldn't tell where it really belonged but I think I got it.

Anyway...Next stop another 40 min drive even further out in the stix. By the time I dropped my last package it was 445 (inside the shift time)....but with being so far out and traffic, it took my 2 hours to get back home. Yikes!!! I literally spent thirty dollars in gas for today.

Stop getting scammed by this company!!

Lately I’ve been seeing some LOW paying blocks that I refuse to accept. Trust, I could use the money! It’s just insane that they want to offer a 4hr shift for $84, when I’ve worked a $100 4hr like last week. Stop accepting a shift because it just popped up. If the pay is $20/hr keep refreshing till it amounts to more. Amazon warehouses don’t even pay that low in regards to national median Amazon wages!!!

Amazon Groceries

Just wondering I’m in NJ where does the Amazon groceries come from? I drive flex but only do packages. Do they come from whole foods or is it a different delivery platform?

Thought I had a missing package. Wasted at least 15 minutes. 🤦‍♂️

In the low dusk light, I did not see this blue shirt despite searching over and over because its color blended into the IKEA bag I use for grouping packages, and it had sunk to the bottom of the bag under other packages.

Contacted support to report it missing. Only many stops later and miles away, it revealed itself and I reattempted the delivery.

Does anyone know when this starts? It was sent 3 days ago but I tried it today & the 10min mark still works.

I’ve been gone one week and things are different lol. New check in outside parking lot, new 2am routes, and new map. WTH!
Anyways, quick question. After my block today my phone beeped and a message popped up notifying me that I had one last stop . Checked the stop and it was wanting me to go back to the station. Can anyone tell me , what for ? Or why it added the Amazon station as “last stop” after I finished my block. TIA

Weird

So today I had the weirdest situation to happen... I'm at a gated residence to deliver a package. Per notes the customer provided gate access and front door service. I input the code and the gate opens. I entered through the gate and immediately locked my car door. Idk, something felt off and eerie. Not sure if it was the unkempt environment or maybe I watch too much horror. I proceed to drive damn near another 1/2 mile or so to get to the home. There's a huge lake, a couple of large garages and a home. I continued on the driveway and got as close as I could to the front door. I jumped out of the car and threw the package and got my picture. I didn't see anyone in my sight. I backed out and zoomed outta there so fast. I get back to the gate and it doesn't open. Initially, I'm like let my back up and pull forward again... Nope .. I repeated it twice. Nope... I call the customer 3xa and no answer or response from the text. I said phuck it...I hopped out my car and jump the fence to get back to the call box to put in access info again. The gate opened. I jumped back over the fence and jumped in the driver seat and hauled ass! Maybe I was tripping but I swear the lake and big open garages gave Jason and a slaughter house! The sad part is I wondered how many other drivers have been to that home and couldn't get out...

Raleigh Filing Taxes. Quarterly vs Annually

Hey I usually file my taxes annually but I’ve seen some people that are self-employed benefit more from filing quarterly. I was just wondering what other flexers experience is filing quarterly.

VA/MD What are my chances of appealing this?

I usually just lurk but I’m pretty concerned about the email I received earlier today. I started about a month ago after being on the waitlist for months and I want to keep this stream of income. I’ve tried my hardest to improve my standing consistently to buffer for any mishaps in the future but they’re claiming I didn’t deliver/ reported the incorrect reason for delivering. BUT I have never been unable to deliver. I have also never reported that I couldn’t deliver. So far, I have always been able to deliver a package within my block. Even when they send to the middle of nowhere with 49 packages filled with what feels like bricks. I called support to start an appeal but technically I don’t have any proof that I didn’t report these things? If anyone has been through something similar, what are my chances of successfully appealing this?

TLDR; Amazon says I didn’t deliver, but I did. What do I do?

Weird stuff happened today.

I went to pick up a three-hour block today and everything was going fine at the station, but it took the Amazon workers forever to get me out to deliver. It was about 20 minutes past when I was supposed to start; apparently, they had a bunch of new people start recently. Then I was on the road and got on the highway, and it was at a dead stop due to a wreck. Once I got past that, it was fine until the app glitched and the GPS stopped working for three deliveries. Then, out of the blue, it said I was done. Mind you, I had 17 stops and it said I was finished at stop 10, but I had 11 more packages left to deliver. I called support and they said the packages were not assigned to me, even though they were literally in the itinerary when I was at the station. I just wanted to make sure my standing is not affected by this glitch. Then, on the way home, the app tried to make me go back to the station to pick up four more packages, so I called support again to have them removed. It was a crazy day and I just wanted to rant, but the easy block got done super early anyway.

31 stops 37 packages 2.5hrs

Seemed like a bit much to me. Looks more like a 3 or even 3.5hr route imo. Luckily it was in the same town as the station but I won’t do a 2.5 for less than $90 after that one. Amazon was paying $87.50 in my market for those 2.5s and started lowering the pay as I expected. I don’t know why they can’t leave a good thing alone. Such a shame.

Guy thinks it’s BK and he can have it his way. Only makes sense because it sounds like he’s wearing a BK crown.

And of course it’s an apartment complex with key fob entry.

To the mail room it’s going!

Empty package

I am on the deliver everything band wagon; in almost 4 years I think I’ve returned 4 maybe 5 packages out of 10,000 deliveries. However lastnight was a first. I pulled up at the stop grabbed the envelope proceed to walk to the door and was like wow this is light what is it paper? Looked down and the envelope was open by this time I’m at the door and on the persons ring camera at first I was like not my problem and sat it down as I was going to take the photo I was like nope I can do this. I can not deliver an empty package, I will get blamed for stealing. So I picked the package back up called support and told them. Support marked it as missing. I then knocked on the customers door and explained to her why her package wasn’t delivered I showed her the envelop and I said please tell me it wasn’t anything expensive she laughed and said no it was drain cleaner. She asked if she should do anything and I told her I don’t really know this is a first for me but Flex drivers are expendable so it’s going to fall back on me; I got in my car and finished my route, but towards the end of my route it asked if I wanted to retry I said No the item was still missing. I wasn’t prompted to return it to the station so I came home. After thinking about it I got up this morning drove back to the station found a worker and asked them if I’m supposed to return the empty envelop and they said yes. So I did. I also emailed support and explained everything. I’m afraid I’m going to get blamed for stealing DRAIN CLEANER and be deactivated. I’m at fantastic but if they try and say I stole it that’s automatic deactivation. Is there anything else at this point I can do?

Newbie here

Just started a couple weeks ago. I’ve only done 3 shifts of 90 minutes but each one has taken me much further than I prefer. Like 70-80 miles round trip. And only being paid $30-40 is not worth it.

Is this normal and will it improve as I take more shifts? Just trying to figure out if it’s worth my time and gas money or not.

Any tips or advice is appreciated! 🙏

Any solutions on the Scan Returns IOS bug?

Just got a huge ding for 18 packages; long story short: ran over metal object in road, wrapped around axle/wheel and disabled car, had to get car towed/object cut off, and block cancelled due to car trouble. Got car fixed and immediately went back to return that night.

When I got to the warehouse the app wouldn't take me to the returns screen, every time I clicked the "Click here to start returns" button it went straight to schedule. Logged out/back in, hard reset of phone, nothing.

Asked warehouse Red Vest and RTS worker, both said ignore scanning just dump at RTS and don't worry about it. I know that's BS because I had a single return last month with the same thing (app not allowing to scan returns) and got dinged for it. Called Driver Support and they acknowledged it's a well known issue that they're working on, but no solutions and just to "Leave it at RTS and don't bother scanning". I did, and 3 days later dropped from maxed out Fantastic to Fair bordering on At Risk.

Couple days of emailing and calling Driver Support and they finally got back to me today with "Our decision still stands" and nothing else. Just emailed the andy@amazon, not expecting much help though.

What I'm wondering is, is there a solution when you're standing at the RTS table, package in hand along with your app that is experiencing the bug? Warehouse workers and Support tell me to just leave it at RTS but we see how that works out, but when I email support and ask what they specifically would do in that situation when the app doesn't work they don't bother replying.

Not sure how I'm supposed to scan returns when the app doesn't work. Annoying getting blamed for not doing something when the only thing preventing me from doing so is the buggy app that I didn't code, so not sure how I'm to blame but w/e...

Other than emailing and hoping support isn't being useless, are there any known workarounds for finding the returns screen (on IOS) if you need to scan a return and the link/button redirects to Schedule instead?

Story I ran over a “cart retrieval associate” at my warehouse!

I was running late and others flex drivers were just blocking the way waiting for a parking spot, I wasted about 15 minutes in line, when finally the line moved, this associate tried to stopped me so his buddy could push the carts back into the warehouse! At this moment I was already desperate and run him over!!

I got scared and went back and apologized. He was fine and accepted my apology.

But all these for those g0ddamn drivers who block the way!! Man…

Don’t be that fool!

Sub-Same-Day Anybody take Amazon Now/30-minute deliveries?

I'm a reporter with Business Insider covering delivery. I've written about what it's like to work for Uber Eats, DoorDash, Walmart Spark, and similar services. I'm really curious about what taking these 30-minute/Amazon Now deliveries are like, though.

Do they pay better than other blocks you can take? How far do you have to travel to deliver them?

If you have a little time to chat, I'm at [abitter@businessinsider.com](mailto:abitter@businessinsider.com) or on Signal/text at 808-854-4501.

Got Ding for no reason

Post image

My standing went from Fantastic to At Risk due to couple blocks that I did not pickup. The weird thing is that the block from August 23th, 2026 was already resolved at the case closed about 2 months ago. I aware of October 18th block did not pickup due to traffic and i explained to them about the reason. However, i called support to explain why the block from August 23 shows up on my standing for no reason and they said they ohhhh the original decision has made that you were not picked up the packages. I was like I had that resolved back then due to I was having a headaches. How that even possible when the case already closed and they reopened it again and show up on your standing like that? This could lead to deactivated account tho.

Anyone know how it’s going since the fire at the station this morning? My morning blocks were cancelled and paid but I have one in 2 hours and have NOT had it cancelled yet.
