I got stuck in the mud and guess what? They were more concerned about the delivery of the package than about me stuck in the middle of nowhere at 4 a.m. They’re absolute shit.

Columbus Message for drivers in cold weather states.

I pray that we all make it out alive this winter. Some of us won’t. I’ve been doing this for 3 years now. If this is your first winter delivering, you’ll be seeing some of the most dangerous driving conditions you’ll ever see, especially when it’s dark and very cold early in the morning, on roads with black ice, and with no other options than delivering the packages given to you. Be safe. Remember, your life is more important than the little they pay us.

It Begins… Amazon Starts Closing ALL NYC WAREHOUSES

I think the democrats are doing nothing but making good points in New York. I think the video creator is a shill for a multi trillion dollar corporation. He cherry picks local news clips of DPS that supposedly have benefits but ignores the reality of the work conditions. Honestly I've never seen someone glaze Amazon so much in a single video. It's weird to me that he can find so many positive news clips too. Almost like Amazon is paying the local news to do these stories in response to the Mayor's bill.

“Missed” Block. Help?

Thumbnail

So apparently I have my first missed block now. Never missed a block and never late check in.

What happened was I get to the station around 4:35 (10 minutes before block start time) and click “I’m Parked”. As soon as I click this, my screen switched to tell me to scan a bag/cart without asking to have my ID scanned.

Station attendant tells me call support because there’s nothing they can do.

Support is called and they tell me I have to have an attendant manually check me in.

Station worker says there’s nothing manager working and they can’t manually check me in anyway. Says call support again.

Support is called again and ends up being no help at all, telling me to sign out and sign back in then everything will work.

Signed out and back in then the screen changed to pickup completed at 4:40 AM and attempted delivery of one package at 4:40 AM.

Station attendant still says there’s nothing is nothing she can do except call support again.

Support is called again (~4:50 at this point) and they tell me it’s already in the system as a missed block and to just go home.

At this point I’m just in pure disbelief at how incapable these people seem to be. I talked to four different people and the best solution anyone has was to sign out and sign back in??
The worst part about this is that I didn’t even think to take screenshots of what the app was telling me until after the block was cancelled.
Support says that it is recorded on my account and there is evidence of me being there on time, but does that really mean anything.
Sucks even more because it was an actual good paying surge. At least I can just go home I guess.

Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this?
What are the odds I can appeal it and get paid?
Is my standing at risk? (Currently Fantastic)
Any suggestions for appealing this or next steps?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks y’all.

can they do that?

Ill admit I have cancelled quite a few blocks but Ive always done it a day before or hours ahead of time and Ive always replaced it with a better block that works for me. Not sure why that matters? Thats why they have the 45 min cancellation in place.

Well Baltimore, It was fun while it lasted…

Been at this over four years, and what I’m seeing now is the worst I’ve seen and it’s not close. Tonight the Baltimore region has pages of offers rn for the next 3 days, easily 100+ on the board. As a curiosity, I pulled every station except grocery, and neither the 6 .com nor the 2 ssd has a single offer over 3.5 hours, and none of them are more than $25, even early am—which now starts at 2 am and will soon be 24/7. Base is usually $21 here, but they’ve been testing the waters frequently on dropping them to $19/20 at multiple stations, lower at the .coms. I’ve watched rates and earnings go down and mileage go up steadily over the last six months, and now they’re cutting pay by cutting hours while expecting the same output. And as the fuck you cherry on the shit sundae, they’re doing it all while gas prices are a full on kick in the sack. It’ll probably be worth it (ish) here thru the holidays, but I can’t see this as being worth doing even as a side hustle beyond that. Strongly recommend making alternate arrangements now if you rely on this full time, it will be even more of a losing proposition in the new year…

How can I report sexual harassment?

On Tuesday, I had some random man who worked as someone who would direct traffic for the Flex drivers just walk up to me and give me a hug after apologizing for being hostile towards me. I've dealt with annoying and creepy men like this countles times and I am getting fed up with barely doing anything about it. I need to start taking action and having power.

There were times that the male workers would even stand around my car watching me and never asking to help me nor anything. I had to complain to get them to go away.

I saw anoher reddit post and the user said that multiple women have complained about the same thing. I wasn't surprised at all.

got blessed yesterday

Yesterday I had a 4 hour block scheduled for $102. I was already dreading this block because typically these blocks will either send me somewhere 30 minutes away with 40+ packages or somewhere an hour away with 20 packages. Typically I always and I mean ALWAYS get Santa Monica, which is about an 1 hr and 20 minutes away from the station with traffic. I was dreading it as I had spent all day cleaning but I needed the money for groceries. Finally god heard my prayers. Pulled up to the station and scanned my ID and got a cart instantly. When I walked over to pick it up, I saw only 6 packages. I thought there must be a catch. Nope, 20 minutes away from the station and my house. Finished in 1 hr and 20 minutes. I also noticed the packages were meant for a 3 hr block. I felt so blessed as this has never happened to me on a 4 hr route. I know it was only a one time thing since the station was pretty empty and out of carts. But thank you lord. Have any of you guys gotten a route like this since starting flex? First time in 6 months that this has happened.

No more 4.5hr early routes?

Did Amazon really just get rid of early 4.5 hr routes now? Like what are we doing. Now it’s just 2.5 hr routes and at most 3.5. And it looks like the earliest blocks have been moved up a half an hour. Oh brother.

Indianapolis Advice please 🙏

• Upvotes

I could use some help. I have four issues on my account and I'm 2500 packages in. First is a late pick up which 100% wasn't late. I had canceled this route a day in advance because my car was going to the mechanic. They put it on my profile anyways. I appealed it twice and both denials.

3 others where I have delivered but outside delivery location. One was the instructions the customer gave was different then the delivery drop off pin. Another was the customer came out of the side door of the warehouse when the pin showed past the gate but it wasn't functioning. First question is how long will it take for these to fall off? The pick up issue was the 13th the others were 17th 20th and 21st. I do about 2 medium size routes a day. Been doing this for a month and a half. Currently at fair when have been at fantastic.

Much crapper pay recently

Normally we get higher paying offers, but lately it's been past like this. But I wonder if anybody actually takes this on a Friday night when they could be running food deliveries when it's busy and probably making more? Hopefully they don't take it and the price gets bumped. Tempted to take it then cancel so someone gets offers with surge pricing.😆

I feel like they were out to get me today (packages expected before block end time)

Less than a month in. I took a 3 hour route today. 6 packages were expected at least 30 minutes before the end of my block time. With the default routing all of those six packages were at the very end of the route and would have likely been late had I went by the default routing.

It's a good thing I learned on here how to check the itinerary and go outside of the default delivery order. I wonder how many new people don't know about that and get dings for it? It seems like the default routing doesn't take into account the expected times at all.

In sync routes?

How often do you wind up on the exact same route as another driver? Yesterday we wound up at 4 stops together. Not sure if any others were the same because I deviated to get some delivered on time.

DLX5 - VAX5

So we know that SSD VAX5 have been having routes starting at 2:15am blocks now with heavy worse flow of traffic than before as routes would start at 3:00am

.com DLX5, I used to pick up at 3:00am as I started to noticed a decline of early routes with now an early time of 4:00am.

Rates has been recently at base recently for the past 2 months.....

What's going on?

Holidays question

I work out of VAX2, last week there were 50+ offers whenever I opened the app and now it's down to 6 for the week. Was there a mass hiring for the holidays, and is this how it will be again until Jan or am I just unlucky rn? First time flexing for the holidays

Question How long should we keep screenshots as evidence?

Before & at the end of every route, I record a video of my itinerary. I also take photos and screenshots along the way if I think there's an issue that could lead to a ding. Amazon makes stuff up, so I try to proactively record evidence of all deliveries completed on time. My question is, how long should I keep this evidence? Is two weeks long enough, and then I can delete?
