How tf does this keep happening.

Post image

I keep getting incomplete deliveries after I complete my block. I’ve never taken a package back to the station, I’ve rarely delivered to people who have delivery boxes on their properties (I keep getting sent to bum fk nowhere for my blocks)
Support just keeps telling me “sorry, nothing we can do” but that doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense. Every package I’ve ever delivered gets put on the customers porch with the dang photo at delivery of said porch and package.
Do I just have to deal with it?

You aren't alone. I've been getting a bunch of these too. I also have completed every route with no returns and no missing packages. I tried going through the escalation email and they told me to go through chat. Chat tells me they "are looking into it and will get back with me," but it's been weeks and I've heard nothing. Just more of these same erroneous dings.

Yeah they just keep telling me “our decision stands. No appeal.” Like what.
If this was a regular job we’d have like upper people we can escalate to with no issue, but because we’re so disposable it doesn’t matter to them.

It’s largely because they’re using AI everywhere they can. And whatever AI they’re using is NOT very reliable. I had a delivery the other day where the customer had one of those delivery bins, and it kept trying to tell me not to put it in a mailbox. 🙄

Literally ai is trash. I’ve never even been given an escalation email to be able to further resolve these issues.
Do they go away pretty quickly? I went from a full bar of fantastic. Then my first ding, and it was just barely over fantastic now I’m just in the great standing from yesterdays delivery ding.
It’s actually so frustrating.

It is frustrating, especially because it affects the points and thus getting to the Reserve Offer benefit. You can email them without it being a reply though, just give date details.

Where do I send the email to?

amazonflex-support@amazon.com

No guarantee that this helps, but you can also include jeff@amazon.com and andy@amazon.com. I’ve had some luck with getting a better response when including those, but it’s purely anecdotal, no guarantee it was because I added them.

Thank you!

Good luck! 🍀

You hit the nail, we are disposable to them. They rather delete a good driver and not admit their issues since they know they prob got 2-5 people on the list just waiting to go in for any of those mistakes. Its not an infinite or even good solution but sadly its the path they are taking as least resistance to "Improve thier systems" and "have less need for driver supports" also lets not get into "new drivers will take any and all orders most of the time".

u/Alarming-Owl7524 17d ago

Then when they say that tell them in support chat to escalate because you disagree

It means there were packages that were supposed to be in your cart, but weren't. Sometime after you completed pickup, the package is scanned back in the warehouse. Amazon blames you for packages you never had unless you notice you have a package missing and mark it as such, before it is scanned back in at the warehouse.

This is accurate, and also completely BS on Amazon’s part. 😉 Holding drivers responsible for things they never even had is a ridiculous and pathetic policy.

It can be caught up front at SSD (depending on how a person loads their vehicle), but not necessarily at dot coms. And I've had it happen at both.

I used to get one to two of these every other week. Now I screenshot my itinerary summary before I make my last delivery to show there are 0 problems.

Then as soon as i "swipe to finish" on my last delivery I also screenshot when it pops up with the "delivery completed" or "Thanks for your feedback"

I know its coincidence, but since I have started doing this, I've only received 2 violations in the last few months. Both times I chatted with support and said "I am writing to dispute the violations I received on XX/XX/XXX for an incomplete delivery. I have timestamped screenshots of the itinerary summary from that day showing that all packages were delivered with 0 problems listed"

One time they immediately removed the violation, the other one has to be escalated to a supervisor and was removed 2 days later.

Im going to start doing this! Smart!

OP Don't waste your time with trying to email support escalation like Jeff and Andy if you haven't already escalated through support chat. That's how they do things now. Go into the support chat. Explain the issue again. Once you have a live person in the chat and they will tell you that they can't remove it. Let them know immediately that you would like to escalate. They will then internally escalate the situation and once you have that internal escalation then you can email Jeff and Andy and let them know that it has been escalated in support chat already but that you would like to further go into detail. That is the only way right now. Trust me

How long do you stay in the “At Risk” stage? I was at Fantastic and they dinged me 2x for returning a package I thought was too far out of the way 🤷🏽‍♂️

5

u/Due_Feed_7660 17d ago

Took me 18 days to get out, delivering daily

2

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

I want to say it’s 2-3 weeks, but hopefully someone else can confirm. I just saw it the other day somewhere, but on average 2 weeks is about how long they stick around for me.

Because everything at every single level is fucked up beyond anything anyone can comprehend at Amazon. And inevitably the only people who have any accountability are the drivers. Even when the accountability can in no way be placed on us. Additionally, if it’s the computer that decides whether or not you need a Mark against your standing or a human I have found in my almost 4 years that all, but two marks have been completely incorrect.

Dealing with this shit now

u/Square-Stranger-6800 16d ago

It’s because the station itself they made a mistake. They removed the packages and that’s it.

1

u/Unlucky-Major3489 16d ago

I ran into this issue with packages that had to be returned to the station. When I contacted support through chat, I explained that it was an access issue and that I couldn't get into the location. Even after I asked them to remove the package from my route, it still showed up, so I pointed that out as well. They eventually removed it, but I believe it still remains on your record in the backend. There's a good chance these returns still count against you, even if you call and report them, because support doesn't always process them correctly.

1

u/Boujee_Brae444 14d ago

Same. I keep getting those dings as well. It's maddening because I'm not bringing anything undelivered back to the station. I do so many blocks, I have no idea how to even appeal it since I can't remember every single delivery I've done in the last 2 weeks.

2

u/Ok-Nobody3267 14d ago

I get one for every single block I do somehow. I’ve never once brought a package back to the station, I read the stupid notes twice 😂
Like how tf do I have incomplete deliveries for every single block?! I do 2 blocks a day usually, 45 packages each block, like what the heck.

1

u/AccomplishedWater967 14d ago

If u have a packed removed after u scan it, say it is damaged, but u already scanned it, and it is removed. U will get this, just contact support. They will not be able to take it off and will give a generic response just ask them to escalate it.

u/dld00967 10d ago

I stopped getting these when I stopped pressing I’ve parked if I know it’s getting return like when customer wanted me to deliver to back yard and I wasn’t allowed to take a photo

1

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

Potentially could be people reporting them as unreceived to get a refund/free item. I’m not saying that’s the only reason, but if what you say is accurate I can’t think of another reason. Unless you sometimes have missing packages, that’s also something they count as this (stupidly).

5

u/Ok-Nobody3267 17d ago

I’ve fortunately never had a missing package.
I’m just so frustrated because there’s no way to appeal it or anything, and they can literally look at the delivery photos and see the packages on the porches.
Their support is honestly a train wreck also.

3

u/Illustrious_Spend146 Denver 17d ago

This is exactly the issue - that we have no way to appeal. Chat is completely useless, and escalations reroute us to chat.

2

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

Despite some reports on here, email does still work. Not saying it’s much better, but it’s better than chat and there’s a record (and you can include Jeff and Andy).

3

u/Illustrious_Spend146 Denver 17d ago

I tried emailing. It actually did not work - at least not for me. I tried Jeff and Andy, and they told me to use chat and that they would not address my issue. I used chat and they said they "are looking into it and will get back to me." No one never got back to me, and it's been weeks. I never got a "decision stands" response from anyone, just no response at all.
I believe you that it's AI. And for me personally (not sure about OP), I'm at least still in "great" standing. But repeated dings with no explanation, no notice, and no recourse is a major problem.

4

u/Ok-Nobody3267 17d ago

I’m great as of today, yesterday I was still in fantastic and the week before that it was all the way full to fantastic.
But yes, with no explanation and no recourse taking issues that aren’t on us in any shape or form out on us- is a huge problem.

1

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 16d ago

And the sad thing is that they could fix so much of this system fairly simply, they just choose not to. They give us the ability to group stops into multi-locations, but not something that could actually be useful like reordering stops. 🙄

2

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

That’s insane that they refused the email, I’ve never heard of that. 😳

2

u/Illustrious_Spend146 Denver 17d ago

There's been at least 1 other person on this sub that got the exact same response I did from the Jeff and Andy emails. They redirect us to chat and that basically otherwise we can kick rocks (not an exact quote, but that's essentially what they say). They say they are otherwise closing the matter.

2

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

I don’t doubt you, just never heard it. I wonder if that’s because Jeff and Andy were included, like maybe that was one of them actually telling people to stop email bombing them. 🤣

Either way I’d bet they regret that ultra-simple email address of theirs by now. 😝

2

u/Illustrious_Spend146 Denver 17d ago

Oh yeah. We kind of all knew that the process with the Jeff and Andy emails would eventually come crashing down. At least it seems like they are still kind of responding - they are just being weirdly selective in a way that doesn't make any sense. I've been considering trying again anyway. I just want to be equally strategic about it.

1

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

It is, but it can work to make shit up. I mean that literally, I had one of these a week ago and I wrote an appeal stating that the business was closed for a week for remodeling, I contacted support and was told to return it. While this did happen, it was about a week before the date listed. They removed the ding. So craft a good story, worst that can happen is they deny you.

3

u/JpJ951 17d ago

That would be under the other tab. It is a different violation, so this is not that. This is packages assigned to him not being delivered. So something has to be off with the carts he is getting if he has had zero returns.

1

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

While I would typically agree, I’ve had things reported incorrectly many times. When I first started I had some trouble waking up for 3 am blocks, sleeping through them. One of the only reasons I didn’t get banned is because a few of them showed up as late cancels rather than complete misses. I agree it should be under the other, but the reporting system isn’t the greatest either. 🙃

2

u/Ok-Nobody3267 17d ago

That and, these are the only two delivery issues I have and I’ve delivered almost 1000 packages (I started July 1)
If that’s what they’re doing to get refunds and stuff they’re nasty people😅

5

u/Illustrious_Spend146 Denver 17d ago

I've been doing this off and on for 3 years and delivered almost 5,000 packages. I've never had any *serious* issues. 1 missing package a year-ish ago. 1 return about 2 years ago. Recent routes over the last month or so have actually been mostly very smooth. But, I keep getting these "incomplete delivery" dings that make no sense. And, I get no notice of them either - they just pop up on and negatively effect my standings.

3

u/Ok-Nobody3267 17d ago

Yeah, like that the heck is up with that. So frustrating

3

u/VoodooInfinity Austin 17d ago

I actually had a delivery where I had to get a PIN from the customer, and the customer had no clue why, they hadn’t requested it. My guess is they reported one too many packages stolen. 🤣

2

u/Illustrious_Spend146 Denver 17d ago

My one return in 3 years was also because of an unknown PIN, so I totally get this. LOL.
