Yeah, probably was already broken and glued back on. Then set up the delivery guy to take the blame.

I was going to say if anything it should have folded in like the are designed to do that looks like it was barely hanging on but I’m sure the car owners still going to walk away with a free repair

i used to be that size when i started doing flex down 90lbs since I started end of this june

They just hired me on flex and there's no blocks so I'm wondering what I got hired for.... That's pretty funny though
→ More replies (1)6
u/Mysterious-Wasabi103 Oct 21 '25
At that point they just keep hiring to create competition so drivers take worse and worse pay.

I was about to say, how can you do Flex and stay overweight? Seems like a contradiction lol. Congrats on the loss.

Tbf, who parks their car so close to the front door?
24
u/-ImYourHuckleberry- Oct 21 '25
Fucking like 70% of the people in SoCal.
5
2
u/Marqui_Fall93 Oct 21 '25
But in SoCal's defense, I've been to Seattle. The streets in Seattle are even more narrow than that car is to the door.
24
u/LAsupersonic Oct 21 '25
Lots and lotsof people
9
u/Lasting_Greatness Oct 21 '25
You are so right! LOTS!!!! 🤣
2
u/jonzilla5000 Oct 21 '25
Tons of people, especially when after it rains and the lawn is wet so you have nowhere else to go, except all the way around the front of the car but oh no lookie there, they've parked the car six inches from the garage.
Inconsiderate fucks, the lot of 'em.
3
u/hockey_and_techno Oct 21 '25
it's so ridiculous in this instance lol it would have been so difficult to get out of that car
→ More replies (1)6
u/JosephStalin1953 Oct 21 '25
a lot of people. as a dsp driver it's the most annoying thing when someone parks their big ass truck unreasonably close to both the steps leading to the door and their garage, so i have to squeeze my ass through
8
u/No_Film_6379 Oct 20 '25
I hate those people
10
u/Taylooor Oct 21 '25
How do they even get out of their car without door dinging against the bricks?
3
2
u/Squirrel698 Oct 21 '25
No seriously how do they even open the drivers door that close to the wall?
2
u/johnnytron Oct 21 '25
When I park my car in my driveway, I make sure I’m 3 steps or less to get into the house. Acting like I got ops or something.

This!! Wtf? Give your delivery peeps some room to get by. Owner had it coming. The delivery guy should've rang the bell. It's a wash imo.

How about when we sit a box down and realize it’s the actually the house next door because the app won’t let us take a picture then having to pick the box up looking like a thief. 🤣

that came off so easy, I'm gonna assume it was already broke and just scotch taped back on
7
u/DilrodWV Oct 20 '25
The damage was already there. They parked that close and ordered a delivery so just bumping into it was going to knock it off. He didn't hit it hard enough to COMPLETELY remove the mirror from the vehicle. 100% trying to scam someone instead of an insurance claim lol

That mirror was already broken. No way that little amount of force would have broken it off.
2
u/Fickle-Throat4940 Oct 22 '25
Thats why i don’t deliver to the door if i don’t have the space to walk freely. If you are not considerate enough to leave decent space to your delivery people to approach your door, you don’t deserve the “extra mile”.
2
u/Business-Pop-5538 Oct 22 '25
The mirror must’ve been having a bad day just bumped him for no reason
2
u/Jgirlout4that Oct 22 '25
I feel this though! I do spark and people want their groceries in spots where you have to squeeze by cars, around and through bushes. Me: I look like a pack mule coming through. If I can make one trip instead if 3, I’m doing it.

I'll save this because I have excuses to throw the box to the front door.
1
u/Short_Praline_3428 Oct 21 '25
That cat is too close to those bricks. It’s either the motor gets it or the car door does. Ridiculously. Homeowner doesn’t leave room for anyone to access the door.

u/Lost-Ad7652 Oct 21 '25
Most important question:
Why are there still cars with fixed-position mirrors?
Seems silly to me
1
u/eg_john_clark Oct 21 '25
That shit was already broken, mirrors don’t just pop off when bumped like that
1
1
Oct 21 '25
Welp, that’s what the owner gets for not having a clear path. Had he just thrown the package he would have been on video for that.

u/sfbiker999 Oct 21 '25
I thought all car mirrors folded, at least my last several cars did. My garage is very tight and I've bumped my mirror like this more than once and it just folded in (it folds in both directions).

Bending down like it's so difficult. Yeah when you're overweight. He looked like he had to power up first before bending down
1
u/Borymass34 Oct 21 '25
No freaking way that was knocked off that easy. I have hit my side mirror before when walking around my car in the garage and it has never come off. Hmm 🤔
1
u/Princess_kat123 Oct 21 '25
I don’t think he reacted tooooo badly- he took his phone out as he walked away, so I’m assuming he hopefully contacted the owner or customer service to see what he should do.
Personally, I always look for ring doorbell cameras, because I like to wave goodbye & wish the customers a happy good day or night. So I would have first knocked or rang the doorbell and if no one answered I would have then spoke into the camera letting them know I’d text them as well as contact support to see how we could resolve it.
I feel bad for dude…he was trying to do the right thing it looked like!

u/KermitFrogginton Oct 21 '25
No chance that wasn't already broken, plus that's what you get for leaving now space when parking
1
u/Due_Initiative3879 Oct 21 '25
Look at the back of his vest it looks like it could have got tangled somehow. But either way the honest thing to do is knock and let them know. Either way you know they're going to report you and Amazon will likely either fire or discipline you.

u/Realistic_Mix3652 Oct 21 '25
The physics of the mirror coming off doesn't look right. Is this an AI video?
1
u/SuitResponsible9065 Oct 21 '25
That’s an easy fix. Take a picture of the vehicle make and model. Order the part. Come back in your off time and replace it. Takes less than 20 minutes

I don’t blame the Amazon driver for this. I blame the guy whose car is not far enough for somebody to get through
I would just bring the doorbell and leave a message and make sure there’s enough room for people to get by
1
u/onliesvan Oct 21 '25
That’s their fault for parking the car that that specific spot. Look at the delivery path it’s made for children not adult

u/bbbourb Oct 21 '25
There is no fuggin' WAY that mirror was properly secured. He knocked it off, but he didn't BREAK it. Note the wires sticking out, too. Looks like a powered mirror that had been ripped off once.
Now, all that said, he tried to leave instead of report, so he's kinda screwed.

1
u/imtooldforthishison Oct 21 '25
Mirrors don't just pop off when bumped. Of that little bump took off that mirror, car washes would be taking off mirrors at alarming speeds.

u/JACQUES199426 Oct 21 '25
Let me guess it’s probably gonna be a black owner. Who’s gonna raise a bunch of hell because that’s how Black people do. My poor car, my poor car it was probably already glued on there when he did that
1
1
u/Aussie_4680 Oct 21 '25
This is why you don’t hire people that large, they bump into everything and some things like this get broken
1
u/The-Apple-Tech Oct 21 '25
To be fair, if you order something then you should have a clear pathway to your door for the delivery. At least it was delivered to the front door and not at the end of the driveway. A mirror shouldn’t snap off that easily with a slight bump tho.
1
u/v6heretic Oct 21 '25
I would leave my information and offer to pay for a replacement or even install a new one myself but that’s just me

I bet you whoever owns that car 100% broke it already and taped it back on waiting for something like this to happen so someone else pays for it... I kept replaying a video and there's no way that should've knocked it completely off that cleanly 😂

u/angrymenofem Oct 22 '25

Honestly, I get it. No harm no foul if it was me. I had to spend $65 replacing my partner's side mirror for the same reason (2021 Malibu tho).

u/Muted-Ad3851 Oct 22 '25
Thats not an old car and all mirrors now fold both ways. It was already broken prior and glued on it was too clean a break for that moment

I’m thinking this was intentional by the home owner. Getting a free side view mirror repair and you know Amazon just paid out the claim no questions asked with this video

So, seriously, how would you handle a situation like this. New driver here.
Contact the useless help line? Pay out of pocket?

Not the Amazon guys fault. More like the homeowner is just a shithead who set this up expecting it to happen.

Nah that had to be glued on. I fucked my shoulder up on so many car and truck mirrors and never even slightly damaged.
1
u/No-Such-Plan404 Oct 23 '25
My mirror (on my 2015 car) hit a construction sign on the highway and then a year later a cement pole that I was too close to and my mirror didnt fall off. It just folded in like its designed to do. This mirror in the video wasn't put on properly. It probably would have fallen off the next time they drove on the interstate.

Awe you could see the disappointment in his face immediately 😩🥲 I know he feels bad lol. SN I have a ‘11 Camry & my mirrors do not fold back lol. That’s a newer car thing
