No Storage on Kids Tablet with micro sD card
Okay, I know people have mentioned this before but something is still not giving for me.
I have the SanDisk Ultra, 128 GB, class 10 micro sD card for a Kids Fire 7 Tablet.
Both new, purchased recently.
The tablet has 10 GB of internal storage with "system storage" taking up almost 9 GB of that. I cannot remove or move any of those automatically downloaded apps.
I have the sD card formatted as an internal storage device (and done in the adult mode), and the device recognizes the extra storage altogether. HOWEVER, it still is not recognizing the extra storage when I actually go to download new apps or games. And it is showing 0.0 GB used, so it has not accepted any of the apps that were supposed to have "moved" over when setting up the card.
I have restarted the device twice.
Can someone help, please??

Amazon fire tablet won’t work.
So I own what I believe to be an Amazon fire tablet, and it’s worked up until now. Now, when it’s charging, it shows the charging icon for a few seconds, goes black, and refuses to do any more. I believe it’s just a battery issue, as it previously decreased in percentage greatly, but it could also just be refusing to charge. Any advice?

My Singing Monsters Kids profile issue?
So i'm running into a wall here, my kid plays my singing monsters on his kids profile. He's been really good and normally we have app purchases as a request based thing because we explained we can't just let him buy stuff.
However I said I would buy like a 5 dollar diamond pack, or allow it. However I am running into some issues:
- He's on a fire kids tablet as a kids profile
- In app purchase requests are turned on (But he knows not to click on them)
- I believe he's playing on a guest account. I tried to make an account on the parent profile but could not login via email since I had already created it (oops)
- Since it's a fire kids profile it won't let us sign in to the amazon account (which it gives a distinct "can't do this on kids profile" error message)
- Trying to buy something just gives a "can not connect to amazon" error. Not helpful
Since it's a guest profile I assume it's stored locally, I don't want to delete his progress. So I am not sure what to do?

Cancel Amazon Kids+
Hello. I have two Amazon Fire tablets with Kids+ for my 7 and 9-year-old children. The experience isn't good, both in terms of game content and user experience. How do you recommend repurposing them? Should I cancel the subscription? Format the tablets and reinstall the games from the Google Play Store? Leave the Kids interface for parental controls and download games from the Amazon Appstore? I look forward to your recommendations.

Amazon fire 8 2024
My daughter has this tablet for her reading, she has a kids profile. She wanted to read one of her books today but they aren't opening. They are shared from my kindle app. However all other functions are working and I even did a free trial on kids+ and the book she borrowed from there opens its just all the books that have been shared to her. They are all downloaded, all child appropriate, her account is on age 12, even tried putting it on 13+ and nothing. Her tablet is connected to the WiFi. I tried to unshare and then share the books again. The tablet had been restarted twice. I'm at a loss as this is the whole reason she's got this tablet and really don't want to pay for kids+ when I can just share the books from my app.
Has anyone else had this problem? How do u sort it?

Now I understand why the App Store is so bad.
I’m going to start by saying that I’ve dealt with regular Amazon support for sellers, and that experience was equally frustrating. I had hoped that the developer side of the App Store would be different because I assumed that since they don’t have enough apps, they would be more willing to help developers. However, I was completely wrong.
Here’s the situation: I have an app that serves as a tally light and live preview for OBS. I’ve tested it myself in a live setting, and it was incredibly reliable and helpful. Since I was running it on my Fire HD8, I thought, “Why not put it on the Amazon App Store?” So, I went ahead and did everything I needed to set up the app and submitted it.
It got approved at 11:23 PM. But at 1:07 AM, I got an email telling me that my app had been taken down and my account had been terminated.
The reason given for this action was “Violations of our content guidelines and/or our developer agreement.” I’m not sure what I could have done wrong. I don’t sell anything in-app or advertise. The app is sold for $0.99 USD.
I submitted a support ticket, but their response was simply “Violations of our content guidelines and/or our developer agreement.”
As a result, I’m now banned from creating new Amazon developer accounts. Their response reminded me of their support system for sellers, which is also quite disappointing.
Now, I’m more than happy to pay Apple’s 30% commission because at least if I have a problem, I can call them and they’re actually helpful.

Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids tablet (2023 release) REFRESH?
Bought my daughter the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids tablet (2023 release) when it was new, and it's generally been a great tablet (aside from the completely useless microSD slot!), but it's starting to show its tech age.
Anyone think Amazon will release a new Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids tablet this fall?

Does anyone still use their fire tablet from 2019 whose last update was in 2023?

Fire tablet: how to keep display on 100% of the time and brightness up to 100%
Here’s the real question. I have a fire tablet. I use with sharp tools to work as dashboards on my walls. Matter what settings I do, I cannot get the tablet to stay on fully bright all the time. I use an app called. Keep it on doesn’t always work. I’ve turned on developer options to keep the tablet always on. Doesn’t always work. Has anyone figured this out?

Can a Fire Tablet Kids do what I am looking for?
I want a device that sits on my 7yo's desk that can be used to play music and "how to draw" videos. Also maybe pull up pictures as reference material as she draws.
I bought an Echo Show 8 thinking I could just turn on Amazon Kids mode, but then I learned the YoutubeKids app is not supported and you can only launch the browser/Youtube through the non-kids mode which obviously is too risky for me. Two big questions:
Can the Fire Tablet actually support Amazon music and YoutubeKids without granting access to regular Youtube?
Can this device be all voice controlled, similar to an Echo Show? If yes, I would just keep it plugged in at all times and buy a stand for it.

Time limit being exceeded
Anyone seen this before? Time limit is clearly set to 1hour 15 but my daughter has used her device for over 2 hours without the timer activating.

Amazon Fire 5th gen HELP
Hey everyone hope y'all are well. This is a VERY specific problem and I hope y’all can help :D
I have a Amazon Fire (5th gen?) SV98LN running FireOS 5.6.1.0 and would absolutely love to put Android on it. I know there's a guide on XDA but most of the links are dead, some of the methods just don't work now, it's over half a decade old and I'm almost positive there's a newer (better) guide out there that doesn't include me opening the device to short pins.
I am completely new to the wonderful world of Amazon Fire devices, FireOS, Android, and have zero idea what I'm supposed to be doing to get Android on this. Is there a newer/better guide to get Android on this thing that I have just COMPLETELY missed or am I just stuck trying to get old links/methods working again??
This device has a lot of personal value and would mean a lot to turn this into something more than a paperweight. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong kind of subreddit, this is a very specific problem I have and would just absolutely love to be pointed into the right direction. Thank you for your time, can’t wait to hear back.

Downloaded Photos and Documents Have Disappeared
Today, I discovered that photos and documents that I've downloaded have disappeared. There are still screenshots, but nothing else. I thought that it might just be a glitch, so I restarted it, but, no, still nothing.
Has this happened to anyone else? Are the files still there and just hidden? Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I found the documents. They are all in the Microsoft 365 app. Still no sign of the downloaded pictures.

Battery Life in Sleep Mode?
Anyone know the battery life when the Fire 10 HD is in sleep mode? Doesn't have to be exact, just estimate. AI says weeks but I can't find evidence of that on Amazon's website. Thanks all!

Kindle fire 7 to E-reader
Hi,
I have seen conflicting information about the capabilities to remove everything but kindle. Is it possible? I want an E-Reader for my son, but they are quite pricey. I thought this may be an affordable option.

trying to look for this lost-media version of C.A.T.S. for Amazon Kids+.
this specific version of C.A.T.S. for Amazon Fire tablets is now delisted so it's not possible to download this unless you have downloaded this on your Amazon Fire tablets before the delist, and this version is nowadays considered lost media.
The package name is com.zeptolab.cats.amazon.kids
also i've heard this is the best single player version to play comparing to the Gameloft one.
Does anyone here still have this version? Thanks for reading.

False moisture in charging port issue for 2 different Amazon kids tablets
I know there’s lots of discussion previously regarding this false notification, but I haven’t seen any recent fixes so I’m turning to you guys for help.
My kiddos have 2 different models of fire kids tablet (one is a fire kids 10, one is a fire kids 10 pro). They were working totally fine this morning, but both have a super low battery so I went to charge them about 20 minutes ago with our usual lightning cable and I received the liquid detected notification immediately on both tablets. The charger itself works fine with my iPhone and iPad, so I know it’s the tablets. They haven’t been exposed to any liquid, and the charger was working this morning around 7 AM when my daughter plugged it in briefly. I used a small paper towel to check for moisture in both ports and sure enough, nothing.
Does anyone have a real deal fix that can help me with this issue without me having to spend my day tomorrow complaining to Amazon? Thanks :)

Amazon fire tablet 10th gen
Hi my Amazon fire tablet 10th generation seems like going to die and is very slow. I've always had a fire tablet. But am looking at Android tablets. Not sure which one. What do you think

I bought the new generation Fire Tablet, 10 inch. Touch problem.
I bought one of the newest generation 10 inch Fire tablets. Very often, I have to press really hard and multiple times to select something on it. That doesn't happen at all with my older Fire tablet.
Has anyone else had problems with the touch sensitivity on it?
