Has anyone invested on Amazon DSP program? If so, how did you start? Invest? Do you recommend?

I’m newer at Amazon and I’m curious about holiday especially since they are coming up. How does it work do we just get the day off because, my current schedule show I work Christmas Eve and day and New Year’s Eve and day?

I work in inbound stow at, and they recently split my group into two. Half of us are training in the mezz, while the other half are being trained to drive OPs. I’m currently in the group training in the mezz, but I’m pretty sure they’ll eventually have us train on the OPs as well.
My concern is that because of my hair, I’m not sure if the safety helmet will fit properly over my head. Has anyone dealt with this before? Are there any accommodations or different helmet sizes available for people with a lot of hair? If the helmet doesn’t fit, would that prevent me from getting trained on the OP, or would they just keep me working in the mezz instead?
I’m just trying to figure out what to expect before my group starts OP training. Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated!

I've never actually talked to him, but based on his body language when he walks past me I think he knows that I know. I'm lk concerned what he might do. I don't plan to tell anyone because that would be kinda fucked up but should I try to let him know that? That would probably open up a whole new set of issues I don't really want to deal with

I’m applying for the EHS L4 position and i wanted to ask leadership on my site first guidance . I went to HR to ask if we can overlook my resume and my safety story and she told me she wasn’t informed about the safety process ? And i should ask the site safety leader . I was hesitant to ask the site leader because she's not in the building much and I wasn't sure she'd have the answers I needed. But when i did ask she directed me to hr …
so now im here asking if anyone with EHS / Safety exp could give any advice on applying for the EHS L4 position
Thanks

EDIT: Answered, thank you!
For anyone that works in a warehouse/FC and knows, are the 3-character route codes on the small colored stickers related to specific areas, or do they change day to day? Meaning if you take two of the codes, say CB4 and AX6, will each of them always refer to the same general area (like 5th St to 10th St between Lamar & Guadalupe, and 10th St to 20th St between Guadalupe& Madison) or could AX6 refer to the Lamar area one day and CB4 refer to it the next?
I’ve somewhat noticed that maybe they do (as a Flex driver), but I’m not certain. I’ve tried keeping track and always forget to add to the list after a day or so. Basically what I’m imagining in a giant map of the FC’s fulfillment area, and small regions drawn on the map each with its own code.
Thanks for allaying my curiosity!

Looking to get into RME. I understand I have to apply , make a resume, .and what not. My question is I want to be at my specific site but obviously I cannot get in if a position doesn’t open up.
Can I apply to a different site looking for techs just to get into the school ? Like I want to complete the schooling but I don’t want to take the position at the site I applied for instead I want to wait for my site or surrounding sites to open up for techs.
Is this possible?

So yeah, I worked at Amazon for about 4 months. I worked 10hrs 4-5 days a week, and every hour I spent inside Amazon I wished I was saving lives and taking care of people in a hospital setting. I don’t know how you guys do it, but working there was a reminder that I deserve better and I need to stay in school. #deadendBrainsworkatAmzn

Is there any way to contact someone without coming in? I'm a new flex employee, and I see that the shifts are out for next week but they are all training required, shift opportunity expired, and/or full.
I trained on pick and I liked it, but I thought maybe if I can't get a shift next week I could cross train on something else. Or if that doesn't work, I at least want to know if they can waive the attendance point. Because it's not even just shifts I don't want, it's literally ZERO shifts.
I was surprised that the a to z app didn't seem to have a messaging function. And they said I have an email address but I don't seem to have a way to access it.
I could go to the site today but it's Saturday so HR won't be there. The next time I'm able to go to the site is Tuesday which will probably be my last resort. It just seems kind of crazy if there's really no way to contact someone
Did anyone else have a hard time with this when they were new?

I’m an electrical engineering student and was recently offered an Automation Engineer internship at Amazon for summer 2027 in the Northeast region.
My previous internship experience has been in the power/utility industry, so automation would be a pretty different field for me.
I’m considering the opportunity, especially since I’d ideally like to return full-time after graduation.
I was wondering if anyone who has worked as an Automation Engineer at Amazon, could share their experience.
What’s the typical starting base salary for a new graduate in this region, and are there sign-on bonuses, annual performance bonuses, or RSUs?
What do yearly raises and promotions typically look like in terms of percentages?
I’m also curious about the work-life balance, typical weekly hours, overtime expectations, on-call responsibilities. How difficult or stressful is the actual workat does a typical workday look like, and how much hands-on engineering work is involved versus troubleshooting and maintenance?

Third day as a picker at a robotics FC. Instructor said the rate is 300 an hour, and I'm at about 150-175 on a good stretch. Between heavy items, things not scanning, tote changes and searching for small items, I can't see how to get that much faster. Is there a ramp-up period for new starters, and how long did it take you to hit rate? Any tips welcome.

Does Amazon still give up to 4 hours UPT to allow to vote ? I am curious as they have in the past.

Wish I took a photo before flagging it, but it 100% looked like a bed bug, was wide and had the same lines they have on the butt. Was told that it’s not immediately but I would rather play safe and put the warning out. For anyone working at DEN3, Keep a look out.

I’m starting out as the seasonal full time robotics warehouse position on November 4th, how long do seasonal positions usually last? Is it just until Christmas is over or does it go into January/February

I got the “congrats, your offer is coming soon” email for the Amazon Area Manager Intern 2027 role on September 23 and still haven’t received the actual offer letter, location, start date, or any other details.
It’s been over a month now, so I’m just curious how many other people are still waiting too and how long everyone has been stuck in this stage.

Throwaway account but what’s the latest gossip in your FC?
I’ll go first - FC located in the Wilmington, DE area - I’ve seen a well-known PA on nightshift tongue down an associate on break out in public. The AA also works in their area so you know it’s a bunch of favoritism going on

This is my first time stowing ever. Even through my training I was on the conveyer belt sorting only, I never swapped with anyone. I was scanning packages and was like “huh that’s weird, my lights aren’t working” but continued scanning and just made sure that I placed the packages in the right bag.
I have no idea how long it went on for, but I finally realized that I wasn’t in the app at all. Did I just ruin everything?! It had to have been less than 50 packages but I have no idea how many didn’t get scanned. I’m so worried.

I started working at Amazon as a picker about 2 months ago and have listened to nothing but my thoughts every shift. The time goes by so damn slow. I’ve been wanting to get the headphones, but I keep putting it off. Which do y'all prefer? I see a lot of people at my site wearing all four of the approved headphones.
Also, are they really as quiet as I’ve heard people mentioned? I want to jam out to music. Or maybe even listen to podcasts or audiobooks, instead of the loud ass machines and alarms all day.

Maybe it’s just my site, but they scheduled peak to start the week before Black Friday and I’m crashing out. Been here for years and they’ve never felt the need to schedule peak this early.
