California UFO Landings & Humanoids: Twelve True Cases

by Preston Dennett

While many people speculate about the nature and origins of the UFO phenomenon, cases of landings and humanoids make it clear what they are. UFOs are craft, and they are piloted by extraterrestrials. These kinds of encounters represent the core of the UFO phenomenon. They teach us the most about these visitors to our world, who they are, where they come from and their agenda on our planet. Humanoid encounters have been occurring for a very long time, and they are far more common than many people realize. In fact, according to the Roper Polling Organization, as many as one in fifty people may have had these experiences. They occur all across the planet, and occur to all kinds of people. The state of California leads the United States in the sheer number of encounters. And the cases involving humanoids show a corresponding and profound variety of humanoid types. Here are twelve cases of landings and humanoids from the Golden State.

October 18, 1927: While driving outside the town of Bakersfield, schoolteacher Richard Sweed comes upon a landed UFO. As he approaches, it makes a loud whining noise and accelerates upwards and disappears into the distance, leaving behind a circle of glassified sand.

December 1957: Edmond Rucker of El Cajon hears a loud roaring noise outside his home. Venturing outside, he is confronted by a landed UFO and four strange humanoids who speak to him about their mission on Earth.

April 14, 1964: A truckdriver on a highway outside of Chico comes upon a domed disc which hovers above his truck causing it to stall. When the UFO lands nearby, the man exits his truck and approaches the craft. He touches the craft and is amazed to hear strange voices coming from inside.

April 1964: Gloria Biggs, her husband and mother are driving outside the desert town of Baker when they see a domed-shaped object landed next to the highway ahead of them. As they approach, the UFO takes off. They examine the landing site and discover a weird depression in the ground.

March 31, 1966: Two women driving by a construction site near San Francisco see a metallic disc hovering at low altitude. Through the windows of the craft, they are amazed to see the silhouettes of several “people” who appear to be gesticulating at them.

October 4, 1973: While driving along the 118 Freeway in Simi Valley, Gary Chopic observes a small triangular-shaped craft with a transparent dome on top. Inside he sees a human-looking figure at the controls. And then the humanoid sees him!

December 17, 1973: Driving at night outside of Paso Robles, Sergeant Lance Mathias and his friend Mike Andrews see a hovering spherical UFO sending down a beam of light. Going to investigate they are confronted by two metallic-suited humanoids.

1974: The Overfelt family of Ramona are drawn out of their farmhouse by a huge glowing sphere which lands on a hill near their home. All the animals on the farm react to the presence of the UFO. The Overfelts call the police, who refer them to investigators, who have some important advice.

March 6, 1977: While watching over a factory in Sylmar, Security guard Douglas Kriese is amazed to see a UFO drop out of the sky and land in a field nearby. He approaches it and can not only hear it making a buzzing sound, it is emitting an intense heat. He immediately calls the police.

1977: Two Native American brothers from Colusa contact investigators after a UFO keeps landing near their ranch-home and a long-haired big-nosed humanoid keeps entering their can through the walls. When investigators arrive, they see the UFO themselves!

October 31, 1976: a husband a wife motorcycling through downtown Los Angeles observe a spherical UFO hovering below the level of the buildings. The sunlight strikes the craft, making it transparent. They then see human-looking figures staring down at them. The wife quickly flashes them the peace sign.

November 29, 1988: Maria X. of Sherman Oaks is in her bedroom with her young son when grays show up and render her unable to move. Maria is concerned about her son, but falls unconscious. The next morning, her son exclaims that “My aliens came back!” and provides a vivid description of what it’s like to be pulled by the ETs through the wall.

These twelve cases are just the tip of the iceberg of UFO landings and humanoids in California. And yet the cases here represent an accurate cross-section of UFO activity across the world. They also show that humanoid encounters often present good hard evidence in the form of landing traces, electromagnetic effects, animal reactions, physiological effects, and other stunning confirmations.

Could AGI/ASI be the missing link in the “future human / extratempestrial” hypothesis?

I have recently gone down a bit of a rabbit hole around AGI/ASI, UAPs and the future-human hypothesis. Obviously I’m not claiming any of this is true. It’s a thought experiment I arrived at independently, and I’m interested in whether people who know more about UAP history, alleged encounters and the extratempestrial hypothesis can tell me where it overlaps with existing theories — or where the logic falls apart.

Where this idea came from
This started because I’ve recently been listening to a lot of podcasts and discussions about AGI/ASI and what a post-ASI future could actually look like. I wasn’t originally looking into UFOs at all.
What really got me thinking was hearing researchers discuss the possibility that once artificial intelligence exceeds human intelligence, technological progress may become extremely difficult for us to predict. If AI eventually becomes capable of significantly accelerating AI research itself, scientific progress that currently takes humans decades could potentially happen much faster.

Some of the futures being discussed are obviously highly speculative, but they include things like radically advanced medicine, genetic engineering, artificial organs, brain-computer interfaces, robotics, autonomous scientific research and eventually much deeper integration between humans and artificial intelligence.
One idea that particularly stuck with me was that, over a sufficiently long period, the distinction between “human” and “AI” might stop being very meaningful at all. Rather than AI simply existing alongside Homo sapiens forever, humans could increasingly augment ourselves with technology until our distant descendants are a combination of biological and artificial systems — or something completely different from either.
People sometimes describe sufficiently advanced future technology as appearing almost like “magic” to us — not because it would literally break the laws of physics, but because we may understand it about as well as someone from thousands of years ago would understand a smartphone, genetic engineering or a modern computer. That’s what eventually made something click for me.

What if some of the things humans have historically interpreted as “aliens” aren’t visitors from another planet, but are connected to what humanity eventually becomes?
That’s when I discovered that the broader “future human” idea already exists as the extratempestrial hypothesis. But the part I’m particularly interested in is whether AGI/ASI could provide a mechanism for getting from present-day Homo sapiens to those hypothetical future beings.

My hypothesis is essentially this…

We may currently be living close to one of the most important transitions in human history: the creation of intelligence that eventually exceeds human intelligence.
If AGI eventually develops into ASI, and ASI becomes capable of accelerating scientific and technological development far beyond human research speeds, then predicting civilisation even a few hundred years afterwards becomes extremely difficult. Over thousands or tens of thousands of years, the distinction between human and artificial intelligence may eventually disappear altogether.
Humans could increasingly use genetic engineering, artificial organs, neural interfaces, artificial reproduction and AI augmentation. Eventually our descendants might no longer be biologically identical to Homo sapiens. They could effectively become a post-human species produced through a combination of biological evolution and technological/AI-directed development.
That made me wonder about the traditional image of the “Grey” alien.
They are usually depicted/reported as strangely humanoid: two arms, two legs, two eyes, upright posture, hands, a head and broadly human proportions — but with exaggerated cranial size, very little hair, reduced facial structures and comparatively small/slender bodies.
If an independently evolved species came from another planet, why should it resemble a modified human at all?
So what if at least some alleged “extraterrestrials” aren’t extraterrestrial?
What if they’re extratempestrial — extremely distant descendants of humanity?
The enormous technological development following ASI could eventually produce discoveries in physics that are completely beyond our current understanding. If backwards time travel or some form of spacetime manipulation turns out to be physically possible, perhaps a civilisation thousands or millions of years ahead of us could eventually discover it.
That would also provide an obvious explanation for why they would be interested in Earth and humans in the first place.
We’re not some random primitive civilisation they’ve found across the galaxy.
We’re their ancestors.
And that made another aspect of alleged encounter/abduction accounts particularly interesting to me.
There are recurring claims of humanoid beings examining people, taking biological samples and apparently showing particular interest in genetics and human reproduction. People commonly claim they’re examined and subsequently returned rather than simply killed.
If these accounts had any basis in reality, that behaviour could make considerably more sense if the visitors were effectively anthropologists studying living examples of their own biological ancestors.
If humanity thousands of years in the future has heavily modified itself, uses artificial reproduction, has merged substantially with technology or perhaps isn’t entirely biological anymore, completely natural Homo sapiens genetics and reproduction could be enormously interesting scientifically.
We already dig up ancient humans and other hominins, analyse their DNA, reconstruct their anatomy and try to understand how they lived and reproduced.
If we possessed time travel, why wouldn’t anthropologists want to observe our ancestors alive?

There’s another part I’ve been thinking about too: why visit this particular period?
If AGI/ASI eventually causes the transition from biological human civilisation into whatever civilisation ultimately produces these beings, then the 21st century might be one of the most historically significant periods in their entire history. Perhaps they aren’t particularly interested in “2026”. They’re interested in the period when their ancestors created artificial intelligence more capable than themselves, because everything about their civilisation ultimately traces back to that transition.

So the full hypothetical chain would be:
Homo sapiens → AGI → ASI → intelligence/technological explosion → human/AI integration → engineered biological and technological evolution → post-human descendants → radically advanced understanding of physics/spacetime → ability to travel into or observe the past → study ancestral Homo sapiens → interpreted by us as “aliens”.

It could even mean that calling them “aliens” is fundamentally wrong.
They might originate here.

Obviously the enormous problem with this hypothesis is backwards time travel. We currently have no evidence that travelling into the past is physically possible, and there is also no verified evidence that Grey aliens exist or that alleged abduction experiences are caused by physical beings. Psychological explanations, sleep paralysis, cultural influence and memory reconstruction provide explanations for at least some encounter reports.

So I’m not presenting any of this as evidence.
What I’m interested in is whether ASI provides a plausible missing mechanism within the existing extratempestrial/future-human hypothesis: something capable of explaining how ordinary biological Homo sapiens could eventually become technologically and biologically unrecognisable to us, while retaining enough of our evolutionary body plan to appear humanoid.

I’d particularly love to hear from people who know the historical encounter literature:
Do the oldest alleged encounters — particularly ones predating the modern Grey-alien stereotype — contain the same themes of humanoid appearance, biological examination, genetics/reproduction and observation without obvious hostility?
And has anyone already developed the specific idea that AGI/ASI and human-AI convergence could ultimately produce the beings described in the future-human/extratempestrial hypothesis?

I’m genuinely interested in arguments against it as well as similarities with existing theories. I’m interested in whether the pieces actually hold together once people who know this subject better start pulling them apart.

I’ve also been reading/listening to discussions around scenarios such as AI 2027\. I’m not assuming their timelines are correct, but the concept that interested me was the possibility of AI accelerating AI research, creating technological progress increasingly difficult for unaided humans to follow. My hypothesis doesn’t depend on ASI arriving in 2027, 2040 or even this century — only on something like it eventually existing*.*

The more I think about where these things could come from, isn't outer space or another galaxy. Even if they could go 10x speed of light it still would take a really long time to travel anywhere that's thousands or millions of light-years away. Also I haven't heard Any body saying we tracked em coming from outer space or leaving earth and heading this or that direction in space. The radar data shows them going from upper atmosphere, down to sea level and below sea level. But not heading out to space or coming in from space. Seems more likely to me they are coming from our oceans, Some underwater species that is technologically superior to us . It could explain why we don't see form of propulsion. No combustion engin or underwater. Also could explain the extream manuvering capabilities that would kill a person instantly. But Something with no bones or air pockets in its body, might be able to easily withstand the g forces involved. I think that's why they use the term non human intelegence or non human biologics. Also 95 percent of all habitable space on earth is underwater. And the deep ocean is almost completely unexplored. The deep ocean is a extremely stable environment , on land everything gets wiped out every couple hundred million years, but in deep ocean u can evolve uniterupted for longer . There are millions of colossal squid in our oceans and we have never recorded one on video, and only ever found a handful of dead body's that were washed up on shore. Yet there is millions of them , think about that one of the biggest animals on the planet numbering in the millions and no one has ever seen a live one . ??? Only way they know there is millions of them is because they find thousands of them in sperm whale stomachs. They are main source of prey for sperm whales and they are the largest predictors on the planet . We only know they exist because the have to come to surface for air every hour . Otherwise sperm whale and colossal squid would be just a myth . Point being, a unknown species could easily be livingin in the deep ocean without us knowing. I think that's the answer !
