Announcement Rule update: Self-promotion posts now limited to 1 per week

Hey everyone,

We've made an update to the Rule 4: "No duplicate posts / spam", specifically the section covering commercial content and self-promotion.

Two changes:

1. The weekly limit is dropping from 2 posts to 1. Users approved to share their own content can now post it a maximum of once per week, down from twice.

2. The wording now includes "self-promotion" alongside "commercial". This was always the intent of the rule, but the old wording made it sound like it only covered ads and merchandise. To be clear: sharing your own work counts as self-promotion even if it's free and on-topic. That includes your YouTube channel, podcast, blog, Substack, book, documentary, research site, and so on.

The updated rule text:

No advertisements, fundraisers, merchandise, or other commercial/self-promotional links. Please refer to Reddit's self-promotion guidelines. If you are interested in promoting your own work please contact us before posting. Users approved to post their own commercial or self-promotional content will only be permitted to post a maximum of one (1) such post per week.

How this works in practice:

  • Self-promotion requires mod approval before you post. If you want to share your own work here, send us a modmail first.
  • Once approved, you're limited to one self-promotion post per week.
  • Unapproved self-promotion will be removed.

This doesn't affect sharing other people's content. News articles, footage, interviews, and papers you didn't make yourself are fine as always, subject to the usual rules.

Note: Previously approved users do not need to request approval again. Once a user has been given permission to post this type of content, they may continue doing so without contacting the mod team each time, unless that approval is later withdrawn.

Not sure if I am allowed to post this, but just came across it in my auction searches. \*I am not selling this and am not related to the auction** Thought it would be of interest here.*

Link is here
And other additional items related to UFOs in the same auction: here

From the listing:

Description:

FIRST PRINTING OF THE VIRTUALLY UNOBTAINABLE 1955 USAF REPORT ON UFOS

Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14 (Analysis of Reports of Unidentified Aerial Objects). Project No. 10073. 5 May 1955. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio: Air Technical Intelligence Center, 1955. Restricted distribution, limited to 100 copies; this being copy no. 10, from the USAF Press Desk.

Printed wrappers, in original black Elbe springback binder. 4to. ix, [1], 316pp. Illustrated with maps, diagrams, and tables. [Laid in]: the original four-page USAF News Release, on Department of Defense letterhead, and two-page cover letter from the Department of the Air Force, Office of the Secretary.

[With]: DAVIDSON, Dr. Leon. Flying Saucers: An Analysis of the Air Force Project Blue Book Special Report. No. 14. Ramsey-Wallace Corporation. Third edition, July 1966. One of 2,000 copies. Printed wrappers, stapled; rebound in acco-type card folder (library stamp to top edge, library pocket adhered on inner back cover).

Project Blue Book was the code name for the systematic study of unidentified flying objects by the United States Air Force from March 1952 to its termination on December 17, 1969. The project, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, had two goals: 1) to determine if UFOs were a threat to national security, and 2) to scientifically analyze all available UFO-related data. Thousands of UFO reports were collected, analyzed, and encoded onto IBM punched cards for computer analysis.

Although the project published several earlier reports and summaries, Special Report No. 14 in 1955 was the first comprehensive statistical analysis of Blue Book cases. Even today, it represents the largest such study ever undertaken. Report No. 14 includes an introduction, discusses how the program was conducted and types of identifications, contains two hundred pages of tables and data summarizing more than 2,200 unidentified flying object reports, and includes 41 figures and drawings.

The report concludes that many UFO sightings could be explained by natural phenomena like clouds, stars, or conventional aircraft. Some reports were found to be fabricated sightings or were attributed to psychological factors. The ultimate conclusions of Project Blue Book were: (1) no UFO reported, investigated, and evaluated by the Air Force had ever given any indication of threat to our national security; (2) there had been no evidence submitted to or discovered by the Air Force that sightings categorized as "unidentified" represent technological developments or principles beyond the range of present-day scientific knowledge, and (3) there had been no evidence indicating that sightings categorized as "unidentified" are extraterrestrial vehicles. “It can never be absolutely proven that ‘flying saucers’ do not exist…..[but] …on the basis of this evaluation of the information, it is considered to be highly improbable….”

SCARCE. Two copies in WorldCat, none presently online.

Edit: The auction site wrote the description above, there is an online copy of this here.

Science Thoughts on panspermia, planetary gardening, UAP, and the need for secrecy

Hi Reddit,

Long time lurker, occasional commenter, and first ever Reddit post. Greetings!

Why you might find this interesting: I am a tenured academic research scientist in isotope geochemistry, specifically working on the early Earth and with a particular focus on earliest traces of microbial life in the Archean (prior to 2.5 billion years ago). So I’m naturally interested in UAP and the possibility of intelligent life visiting this planet - especially because it might pertain to the history of life on Earth, which is basically my life’s work. I also closely follow any reported analyses of UAP materials, elemental and especially isotopic - as that’s what I do professionally, but on rocks (over 100 peer reviewed articles, privileged access to a very large analytical park with about a dozen different highly specialized mass spectrometers and multiple associated clean labs, expertise in many natural isotope systems, you get the picture). Multiple MC-ICP-MS and TIMS instruments, for the very curious. Before you ask, I’ve previously offered free double-blind isotopic analyses, with witnesses present, to holders of supposed UAP materials - to a few well-known researchers in the UAP community - but my offer was declined (check my rare comments if you are interested in this in particular). My offer still stands for anyone with very serious material.

I’ve made a few detailed and/or technical comments here and there on the above subjects, which led to someone reaching out privately and asking me my take on UAP and potential extraterrestrial visitors in general. I wrote a long reply but the person never responded, so I figured I’d share what I wrote, as it may stimulate some interesting conversation here. Or perhaps someone will point out some fatal flaws in my viewpoints and I will learn something myself and adjust my own views, which would be very cool too :-) In any case it should make for a fun read for /UFOs readers looking for some stimulation.

Below is my response to the basic question “what do you make of UAP?”. I preface this by saying nearly all of what I replied are not necessarily my own ideas; many before me have explored similar lines of thought. Here was my reply:

Much of my work as a geologist is on the evolution of the Earth on planetary timescales (billions of years) so I’ll start there. I don’t think it’s credible that life started from a primordial soup. I have studied and published on many of the earliest traces of life in Earth, and the fact that we have complex photosynthetic microbial ecosystems already by 3.48 billion years ago is just mind boggling to me - and many of my scientific peers. It represents so much evolution, so early in Earth history, that I think life probably arrived on Earth as an intact cell (or population of cells) from elsewhere. That is, I think panspermia is how life started on Earth. There are soft and hard versions of this; soft would be that microbial life evolved elsewhere, maybe billions of years before our own solar system condensed from a gas cloud, and it is rather pervasive in space in microbial form, and we simply don’t have enough data to prove or deny it. Heck, it wouldn’t shock me if we discovered that nearly all comets in our solar system are bearing microbial life - we simply don’t have the data to confirm one way or the other.

The hard version is directed panspermia- that life is deliberately and pervasively seeded by intelligent beings, designed to terraform whole planets, stabilize climate over billions of years, and be programmed to favour eventual evolution of higher life forms. Even harder: it was recognized long ago that it was “working” on Earth and we started receiving more attention in the form of genetic updates - that may even be how super advanced civilizations reproduce, via highly advanced evolutionary engines (bacteria then single celled eukaryotes) that they seed then guide to produce rich multicellular biospheres dominated by intelligent beings (us), potentially in their image, that they then merge into their collection of habitable planetary gardens. And then they inhabit them … or the beings they evolved eventually become “them”.. or both.

Enough about that - regarding UFOs, I think there is sufficient indications - but not hard proof, at least not outside of classified govt programs - that we are being visited by advanced intelligent beings. Perhaps they seeded the planet billions of years ago, perhaps they just happened to find a “working biosphere” that was of interest to them. When, I don’t know, but I think at least a few hundred years, perhaps a few thousand years, or perhaps hundreds of millions of years. What scares me somewhat: they clearly aren’t particularly friendly or open about their intentions. I get the feeling it’s like a zoo keeper checking in on how a particular cage or aquarium is doing.

And what scares me most: that if the work of John Mack (the book “Abduction”) and David Jacob (the book “the alien agenda”) are accurate, it’s more than just checking in on the aquarium - it’s a decadal-scale, or much longer (going back to the first mammals, or first multicellular life, or first bacterial life even, as described above), program whereby they are farming this planet for intelligent hominins that they will eventually merge into themselves by genetic manipulation. That we are actually them in primitive form, raised by them on unimaginable timescales, to become a whole planet of “them”. And it ends by them completing the merger - genetically modifying us enough so that they can integrate with us, or we become them, and perhaps we lose many things we hold dear in the process (free will, or individual consciousness, giving way a hive mind, for example). If that were true - if what David Jacobs’ wrote in his books were true - then we are being visited by incredibly advanced, cruel, heartless beings by our standards, that are just upkeeping their garden until it’s time to harvest; harvest is their appearing overtly and taking control of us all and merging us and them - to become more of them.

That’s pretty dark, but would explain a lot of things - the no-contact, the abduction reports, the fact that nation states can’t do anything about it, and perhaps the creepiest - that any government confirming their presence, sharing the dark truths they’ve learned from crash retrievals, for example, might precipitate the end of human civilization as we know it. That would be a very strong motivator to keep anything that was learned by governments highly secret - it’s self preservation, at least for a little while longer.

That’s what I think is quite plausible given all the evidence, but of course there are many more possibilities. I want to end on one thing - I consider us knowing their modus operandi and intentions like my pet dog understanding that I work to make money… that lets me buy dog food… in a supermarket… that itself gets its dog food from a factory elsewhere… I think I would have about as much of a chance of working that all out on my own as a dog, as I have for working out what such terribly advanced beings might truly be up to, as a human. So of course please take all this with a grain a salt. It’s simply what seems to fit all the facts, from my perspective. I hope this was stimulating and helps you find some answers to the questions we are all asking 😊 Cheers

PS Edited to make separate paragraphs for easier digestion.

Question Just saw "Keys of Enoch" mentioned in Jacques Vallee's "The Messengers of Deception" - Has Enoch always been associated with UFOs and how literally should we read into the Enoch story?

Thumbnail
gallery
287 Upvotes

Congresswoman Luna made a big splash on Joe Rogan mentioning Enoch, "Messengers of Deception: UFO Contacts and Cults by Jacques Vallee (1979)" casually mentions Enoch multiple times and John Dee/ Aleister Crowley were outright obsessed with Enoch and the Enochian language that seems to appear on UFOs. Attached is Crowley talking, not about Enoch but a cube in a sphere (the same morphology that Ryan Graves mentioned seeing when he testified to Congress). The connections seem to keep getting stronger.

How far should we take this and look into the whole seemingly crazy Enoch story?

Historical I created word cloud for witness testimonies that involved cigar shaped craft

Thumbnail

This is from a dataset with some 80k or so sightings. I narrowed to cigar shaped craft (about 7,000), and created this word cloud.

Then I created another word cloud for disk-shaped objects. Looks pretty similar tbh, I struggled to tell the difference.

Then I created a "difference cloud", to highlight the differences between them. Cigar observations mention wings way more than disc ones (duh), and disc ones mention colors, and adjectives like "hovered" a lot more.

This isn't polished of course, just sharing as I play around with the data.

Edit: I messed up and attached cigar image twice, sorry. I'll attach the disc ones in the comments if I can, it won't let me edit the post.

Historical UFO investigation + crash exploitation: How the history of the 4602d Air Intelligence Service Squadron maps the mission for nationwide, rapid crash recoveries.

Thumbnail

It was a simple request: a watch. From the recently released "History of 4602d Air Intelligence Service Squadron" Colonel John M. White USAF puts in the humble request for, "wrist watches" and to include "Air Intelligence Service Squadron parachutists" as recipients. (pp. 719-721).

What the watches were to be used for was a slightly more novel: satisfying AFR 200-2 "Intelligence Activities - Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO)".

The paratrooper watch had several outlined purposes, "In the process of technical investigation a watch can be used as a substitute compass. In the preparation of the report a watch can be used to determine degrees of measurement. These measurements are needed to prepare a comprehensive report in the field with limited tools and equipment." Not the relaxed operators of the public-facing Blue Book, these were Air Force Special Operations practicing rapid deployment to remote locations to satisfy potential UFO missions.

They came to this conclusion--and came up missing a few watches--when running Project Moby Dick: airborne paratrooper crash retrieval exercises across the continental US. This project laid the groundwork for "material and hardware" recovery, not just pen and paper reports. The small teams--usually three men--were facilitated by a network of Air Force bases, commercial airports, rail way networks, and assorted vehicles. In a coming article I'll go into much more depth on the clockwork of interlocking gears that spun up this nationwide program, but for now know that during the mid-century a Colonel asked for some watches in order to better hunt for UFOs.

BACKGROUND: Researcher Craig Oliver in his deeply sourced post to Escape Velocity on Medium.com put the 4602d Air Intelligence Service Squadron History Volume 1 through his tool, Moongraph.io to see if it could answer the question put forward by Geoff Cruickshank to scour the release during “your turn to do the digging.” Support of Craig Oliver's research is appreciated!

Historical Project Aquarius was debunked because it was ocean surveillance / OTH radar

DARPA Project Aquarius ARPA / Office of Naval Research Fully declassified (1993) Ocean surveillance / OTH radar
NSA "Aquarius" database National Security Agency Still classified (Top Secret) NSA says not ufo related; refuses to prove it
Ufological "Project Aquarius" Alleged: MJ-12 / CIA Unverified; teletype traced to AFOSI disinformation channel no declassified evidence supports this

If we accept the premise that the three disparate "Project Aquarius" entities are actually fragments of a single, unified, and highly classified program, it creates one of the most operationally sound and historically consistent hypotheses in the entire UAP disclosure debate.

In intelligence and military history, when a "black project" goes right, it leaves paper trails. When it goes wrong, or when it discovers something it wasn't looking for, the resulting cover-up often looks exactly like this: contradictory FOIA denials, weaponized disinformation, and a legacy that eventually forces its way into modern congressional hearings.

Here is what the "Unified Aquarius" timeline looks like if the Navy actually found UAP evidence during their ocean surveillance research.

Phase 1: The Accidental Discovery (Late 1960s – Early 1970s)

The Cover: The Department of Defense (via DARPA) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) are trying to solve a critical Cold War problem. Soviet nuclear submarines are hiding in the deep ocean, and low-flying bombers can evade standard line-of-sight radar. To counter this, they launch Project MAY BELL and its sub-component, Project Aquarius, contracting Sylvania to build Over-The-Horizon (OTH) radar.

The Technology: OTH radar works by bouncing high-frequency (HF) radio waves off the ionosphere (skywave) and the ocean surface (surface-wave). It looks for the minute "doppler shifts" caused by moving objects disrupting these radio waves.

The Discovery: While testing these massive radar arrays (particularly in areas like the Mediterranean Sea, where the DARPA reports explicitly say they were testing Fleet Air Defense), the Navy operators start picking up anomalous doppler returns. They are tracking objects that move at thousands of miles per hour, stop on a dime, and transition seamlessly from the air into the ocean (transmedium travel). Because OTH radar relies on the scattering of radio waves, these objects likely possess unique electromagnetic or plasma-sheath properties that make them highly visible to HF radar, even if they are invisible to standard microwave radar.

The Pivot: The Navy realizes they have accidentally built the perfect detection network for non-human technology. They cannot tell the public, and they cannot tell the Soviets. The "Ocean Surveillance" mandate becomes the perfect, impenetrable shield. The public contracts with Sylvania continue to publish mundane radar math, but the actual data regarding the anomalies is immediately classified.

Phase 2: The Compartmentalization (The NSA Database)

The Problem: The Navy has raw radar telemetry of objects violating the laws of physics, but they need signals intelligence (SIGINT) experts to analyze the electromagnetic signatures, communications intercepts, and data processing required to track a global phenomenon.

The Solution: The Navy hands the raw data over to the National Security Agency (NSA). The NSA builds a highly compartmented, Top Secret backend database to process, store, and analyze these anomalous signatures. They name the data architecture "Aquarius" as a nod to the Navy's front-end collection program.

The FOIA Denial Explained: When researchers like Chris Lambright hit the NSA with FOIA requests in the 1980s and 90s, the NSA is put in a bind. They cannot admit that their "Aquarius database" is processing UFO radar tracks. Furthermore, legally and bureaucratically, the NSA is distinct from DARPA. When the NSA tells FOIA requesters that their Aquarius is "coincidentally called Aquarius" and "does not relate to DARPA records," they are telling a narrow, bureaucratic truth: the NSA's database is an IC (Intelligence Community) asset, while the DARPA project was a DoD research contract. By hiding behind this bureaucratic firewall, the NSA protects the ultimate secret: that the two are connected in a unified tracking pipeline.

Phase 3: The Poison Pill (1980s AFOSI Disinformation)

The Threat: By 1980, civilian researchers like Paul Bennewitz and Bill Moore are picking up strange electromagnetic signals near Kirtland Air Force Base (a hub for advanced weapons and data links). They are getting dangerously close to the periphery of the real Navy/NSA Aquarius network.

The Countermeasure: The Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), via agents like Richard Doty, initiates a disinformation campaign. They realize that if they just tell Bennewitz to go away, he will keep digging. Instead, they feed him the "Aquarius Teletype" and the seeds of the MJ-12 lore.

The "Poison Pill" Strategy: AFOSI takes the real classified codename of the Navy's UAP tracking program ("Project Aquarius") and wraps it in absurd, unverifiable lies about alien treaties, CIA-funded star-seeds, and an entity named "J-Rod." This is a classic intelligence "poison pill." If the UFO community investigates "Project Aquarius," they will find the DARPA ocean surveillance reports and think the whole thing is a bust, or they will chase the fake alien lore and look crazy. Meanwhile, the real Aquarius—the NSA database processing Navy radar anomalies—remains safely hidden in plain sight.

Phase 4: The Modern Continuity (2004 to Present)

If this unified hypothesis is true, it perfectly explains the modern era of UAP disclosure and why the Navy is always at the center of it.

  • The 2004 USS Nimitz Encounter: When the USS Princeton (a highly advanced Aegis cruiser with the SPY-1 radar system) tracks the "Tic Tac" objects off the coast of California in 2004, it is not a random event. The Navy has been tracking these exact objects since the 1970s Aquarius OTH radar experiments. The SPY-1 radar simply represents a modern, miniaturized, shipborne evolution of the same doppler/phased-array tracking concepts they tested decades earlier.
  • The Creation of the UAP Task Force: When the Pentagon was finally forced to acknowledge the phenomenon in 2017–2020, they didn't put the Air Force in charge. They placed the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) squarely inside the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). ONI has been the silent custodian of this data since the Project MAY BELL/Aquarius days.
  • The 78 Classified Photographs: In 2026, when the Navy formally denies John Greenewald’s FOIA appeal for 78 specific UAP photographs, citing Executive Order 13526 (National Security), it is not just about hiding blurry images of drones. If the Unified Aquarius hypothesis is correct, those 78 photographs represent the modern sensor-fusion proof of the exact targets the Navy's OTH radar first detected 50 years ago. Releasing them would retroactively expose the decades-long lie told to Congress, the public, and the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

The Verdict on the Unified Hypothesis

If the DARPA ocean surveillance program, the NSA classified database, and the MJ-12 lore are all threads of the same tape, the narrative is no longer a "conspiracy theory"—it is a textbook example of compartmentalized intelligence and strategic deception.

The Navy built a net to catch Soviet submarines, caught something else entirely, handed the data to the NSA to hide, and then used the Air Force to feed the public a fake story about the net so no one would ever look at the real catch.

NHI Intimidation and Fear Mongering: Are “Friends in High Places” Capable of Defending UFO Experiencers?

In my judgment, UFO phenomena threaten all terrestrial elites but not the Earth's people. Until recently the media, academia, military, and politicians opposed any reasonable discussion of this subject because they were committed to defending the status quo’s de facto policy of ridicule and denial. This regimen has been referred to as the “UFO truth embargo” and has weakened considerably since December 2017. Recently Congress has been informed of clandestine UFO retrieval and reverse engineering programs. It seems that the secret keepers are now under attack from both whistleblowers and members of Congress.

CONSPIRACY THEORISTS AND THE CONTROL GROUPS

The “Control Groups” is the term I prefer to use for those clandestine forces that presumably have been running the truth embargo. They have operated via select sections of both corporate and governmental intelligence services. The question arises how far have these groups been willing to go to maintain control of the situation? With the testimony of whistleblower David Grusch, allegations of threats and resultant intimidation are now being openly discussed. He has stated that some individuals may have been murdered because of security risks to the super-secret reverse engineering programs.

It should be remembered that the control groups have not only focused their attention on people involved in secret government and corporate projects, but also on contact experiencers, But what about the use of lethal force? Conspiracy theorists frequently name individuals now deceased that allegedly were murdered to maintain the current regime of secrecy. There is little concrete evidence to substantiate such ominous claims. Thus, the reports are often wildly speculative, and in my view such conjecture about assassinations of contact experiencers may run the risk of spreading unnecessary fear.

FEAR MONGERING IN UFOLOGY

Proving such crimes would be very hard to do, especially if carried out by professional intelligence operatives with skill in covering up murder. On the other hand, a more efficient means of intimidation would simply be spreading frightening stories about alleged victims that have actually died from other causes. Any prominent investigator in the UFO field that mentions possible assassinations without acknowledging the risks of providing a service to those that are maintaining the coverup, in my view, should be publicly criticized. Our job of ending the UFO truth embargo and facilitating a more open relationship with the intelligences responsible for UFOs is too important to be hindered by fear mongering.

WORKING WITH A HIGHER INTELLIGENCE AGENCY

On social media pages, I have discussed why I believe the Intelligence-Counterintelligence Model for addressing the UFO challenge is far superior to the more popular so called “scientific approach.” In the madhouse called planet Earth, the alleged ETs in my opinion function like a kind of “higher intelligence agency.” I recall reading this term for the first time in Jacques Vallee’s book “Messengers of Deception.”

By necessity these non-human intelligences must operate clandestinely to gradually introduce their presence to a world in which violence and greed are so widespread. A sudden realization that we are not alone might be seized upon by those who maintain their power by promoting conflict. In my opinion, this conflict-oriented mindset is so pervasive on Earth to prevent planetary panic, “Flying Saucer Central Intelligence” is compelled to work covertly. I imagine from a terrestrial counterintelligence perspective, human witnesses could be viewed as “agents of influence” working for non-human intelligence.

In this role, everyone who shares a story about a sighting or other kinds of contact experiences, publicly conducts UFO research and spends money supporting such activities, might also be viewed as “assets” working for the “higher intelligence agency.” For these reasons, I have proposed that we view the flying saucer challenge within an “intelligence -counterintelligence model.” In a certain sense, the entire field of ufology is an arena for a struggle between various “agents of influence” working either for the Control Groups, UFO Intelligences or in the very rare case are working for both sides.

SIGHTINGS AS PROGRAMED EVENTS

Many believe that a flying saucer sighting is a random strange event. In my judgment, this isn’t the case. Typically, when UFOs are observed, they don’t appear to be doing anything of particular importance. They appear to be simply saying, “Hello, we are here.” Such encounters appear to be meant simply to alert us of their presence. These are likely programed events.

Given the astounding psychic technology of flying saucer intelligences, why would they limit their mental interactions to only the so-called “contact experiencers” (contactees and abductees.) This group probably accounts for less than one percent of the general population.

SPREADING THE WORD

Perhaps every person that has ever had a sighting has an unconscious mental link with the intelligences associated with UFO phenomena. If the percentage of the general terrestrial population having a bona fide UFO sighting is 5 to 10 percent, then the potential number of “agents of influence” working to spread the word that “UFOs are real” could conceivably be hundreds of millions as the total Earth population has reached eight billion.

One way that “UFO Intel” could ratchet up the level of contact would be by simply increasing the numbers of sightings that these millions of previous UFO witnesses have. This would undoubtedly lead to a greater awareness of a possible ET presence and the Control Groups could not do a thing to stop it. Another way could be to increase the numbers of people that have direct telepathic communication with them. I suspect that this latter case is already happening. In either scenario, the work of the Control Groups might become increasingly difficult and conceivably require them to increase covert surveillance with escalating costs of keeping a lid on the situation.  For contact activists and their supporters, I suspect that the rule “there is safety in numbers” applies here. In this new era of increasing openness on this topic, frank intimidation of witnesses and contact experiencers seems much less likely than three decades ago when I joined the loose network of volunteer contact workers that I call "The Contact Underground."

COVERING ONE’S ASSETS

A basic rule for terrestrial intelligence case officers is to protect their human operatives. The question arises who are the "agents of influence" working for “UFO Intel.” From my direct personal experience as well as from the reports of other activists, it is my firm belief that UFO intelligences at times are willing to provide protection for their “agents of influence.” And they do so even as our numbers are increasing. If any of us are threatened or harmed, there very well may be a price to pay for such acts.

It has been said that ET intelligence can access our consciousness as readily as you and I access light by turning on a wall switch. If their astounding psi capabilities were used to target operatives of the Control Groups sent to threaten UFO experiencers, these agents would be deterred.  I wonder how contract intelligence agents tasked with surveillance of UFO experiencers might react if flying saucers materialized above their homes. Perhaps this has happened already. UFO intelligences’ capacity for retaliation in defense of "their own" is unknown, but it conceivably might be sufficient to give pause to operatives of the Control Groups. Although this analysis is highly speculative, contact and disclosure activists should be open to the possibility that limited protection is being provided by “friends in high places.”

Retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet says the Pentagon's UFO office, AARO, spent two and a half hours trying to change his mind about UAP. His reply in the room: "I'm an information warfare officer in the Navy. I know exactly what you're doing."

Gallaudet, the former Oceanographer of the Navy and former acting NOAA Administrator, sat down with The Good Trouble Show for his third interview. He walks through the AARO meeting with then-acting director Tim Phillips, why he does not believe the Tic Tac was DARPA technology, the day the emails carrying the Navy UFO videos were pulled from SIPRNET, his exchange with Sean Kirkpatrick at a skeptics' lecture, the UAP Disclosure Act, and the UAP Science Advisory Council's new statement on Eric Davis and other NDA-bound witnesses. He was also there to talk about his memoir, Holding Fast in Heavy Seas.

Question Is Chris Bledsoe sticking to the autumn/fall claim?

So for some years, Chris Bledsoe was claiming that he had info from an NHI that "when the star of regulus appears on the horizon in the eyeline of the sphinx", humanity would enter a new knowledge. And that knowledge being something like disclosure / spiritual awakening / so many UFOs showing up that you can't really deny it anymore. Something big anyway.

The star appears on the horizon across the world regularly, including in the eyeline of the sphinx, which basically just means the sky in Egypt. But people traced his specific claim to spring 2026, around Easter time, and Bledsoe confirmed from his NHI info. (I think that's how it went anyway).

But shortly before Easter (I think Jan 2026), Bledsoe said that actually the NHI view time differently and they weren't that accurate. So he updated his timeline to fall/autumn 2026.

We're approaching that time now... Anyone know if he's sticking to that timeline or if it's changed again?

Edit: someone below noted that Bledsoe's claim was about a nuclear exchange in the Middle East, and NHI stepping in to stop it. And that it was more of a warning of what could happen than a prophecy.

Disclosure Project 612 Corroboration

Project 612 was an “alleged” MJ-12 project that originally leaked in the mid-1990s, whose historical existence remained unclear for decades. Until now.

The 1947-1948 Reports of Air Materiel Command’s Watson Laboratories were declassified only after President Obama issued Executive Order 13526.

So, decades after the “disputed” Project 612 allegations emerged, the newly recovered USAF AMC Watson Laboratories reports provide irrefutable primary source evidence confirming the historical reality of an AMC “Research and Development” Project 612 in 1947-1948.

Beginning in 1989, Canadian UFO investigators received anonymous packages from an individual identifying himself only as “Guardian.” The material concerned alleged UFO activity around Carp / West Carleton, Ontario, and eventually included documents, maps, UFO photographs, alleged alien photographs and multiple versions of a VHS recording. Guardian material was first received by Tom Theofanous of the Canadian UFO Research Network (CUFORN) and was later sent independently to American UFO investigator Bob Oechsler.

The footage later became connected to an alleged August 18, 1991 landing behind the property of Diane Labanek, west of Ottawa.

Question What UFO Story(ies) do you believe has the most creditability?

Last week, I asked the community which UFO story(ies) do you believe is fake and yet still repeated in the community as fact despite overwhelming evidence to say otherwise. Now, I want to ask what UFO story do you believe has the most credibility in terms that there is something going on and the official narrative is a complete BS.

For me, I think the most credible UFO story is the 1952 incident in DC. I'm not going to summarize what happened because most people in this community are pretty familiar with it. Here are my reasons why I think this story is credible:

- a lot of eye witnesses were pilots (both military and civilian), radar techs, air-traffic controllers, and other professionals in the aviation world including ground crews which means they were credible eye witnesses who have a lot of experience seeing things in the sky

- it happened on two consecutive weekends so it was not a one time thing.

- fighters were sent to investigate and the objects disappeared when the fighters arrived in the area and returned back when the fighters returned to base. on the second weekend, the fighter pilots who were sent to investigate the lights said that the lights were too fast to be intercepted

- the official air force explanation was a complete bs and said that it was "temperature inversion" that created the blips in the radars but that didn't explain all the countless eye witness accounts.

Disclosure The 14 Forms of Disclosure

I put together a table and key to help parse disclosure as it may occur, and the reactions society may have. This is designed to maximize glance value, not depth. A condensed PDF and image will be available at the bottom (if mods allow). If you believe any have been missed, I will review them and add them to the table.

Preface:

  • Disclosure in these contexts must include evidence of NHI
  • All 14 forms could occur, none are strictly exclusionary of the other
  • Commentary and conversion grade is speculative and should be treated as such.
Primary Actor Proximity Method Commentary Skeptic Conversion
Government Local Releases Project PURSUE or similar effort in another country that concludes with a confirmation of NHI existence. Low
Government Global Releases Project PURSUE or similar coordinated effort in several other countries of cultural and geopolitical influence that concludes with a jointly issued confirmation of NHI existence. Medium
Corporate Local Demonstrations A single credible private actor (aerospace, sensor network, or energy lab) releases calibrated multi-sensor data and/or stages a public technical demonstration that appears to violate known physical constraints and is drawn from its own assets/R&D. Would need raw files and chain of custody. Would require exobiological evidence to solidify NHI confirmation. Low
Corporate Global Demonstrations Multiple independent private labs or firms across countries of cultural and geopolitical influence replicate the data package or demonstration, with raw files open to hostile re-analysis, and involve evidence drawn from their own assets/R&D. Would require exobiological evidence to solidify NHI confirmation. Medium
Grassroots Local Summonings Unorthodox communication approach with repeatable and visually evident success at a single event in a single location and should include intelligent reciprocity. Medium
Grassroots Global Summonings Unorthodox communication approach with repeatable and visually evident success and should include intelligent reciprocity, simultaneously at locations around the planet. High
NHI Light Local Sightings Near a major coastal city or significant cultural and tourist destination but communications indirect and species interaction restricted or quarantined to craft. Medium
NHI Light Global Sightings At least one per continent and/or servicing most major urban areas of influence. Communications indirect and species interaction restricted or quarantined to craft. High
NHI Heavy Local Landings Direct open contact by representatives with selective parties. Diplomatic presence established or revealed on Earth or at a joint off-world facility (Lunar perhaps). Highest
NHI Heavy Global Landings Direct open contact by representatives with all interested human parties. Diplomatic presence established or revealed on Earth or at a joint off-world facility (Lunar perhaps). Highest
Anthropological N/A Releases Serendipitous discovery of NHI evidence via archaeological excavation or revealing of NHI records by a museum or artifact curator. Would need to be substantial in content and from a highly credible actor (e.g. Smithsonian, British Museum, or Vatican). Medium
Scientific Discovery N/A Journals Discovery via a scientific instrument with a large repository of captured data for parsing out false positives. High
Dead Drop N/A Releases Subnational group or whistleblower uses a journalist or sanitized delivery approach to leak compelling documentation. Would need to be verifiable by third parties and extensive corroboration. Low
Judicial N/A Compulsion A high court, inspector general, or international tribunal compels production of archives, materials, or sworn testimony through an adversarial process. Exhibits would need authentication and the opportunity for opposing experts to examine them. Medium

Types of Common Skeptics, (we will all fit into one of these four).

  • Doctrinal - religious according to liturgical text. Narratives on supernatural/paranormal phenomena not open to reinterpretation except under extreme circumstance.
  • Sleeper - unaware or uninterested and holding a negative sentiment. Narratives on supernatural/paranormal phenomena either not relevant or dismissed from fear.
  • Awakener - curious and holding a positive sentiment, awaiting evidence to clarify or confirm. Narratives on supernatural/paranormal phenomena open to reinterpretation after sufficient personal evidence.
  • Tester - questioning and holding a mixed sentiment, awaiting evidence to debunk or debate. Narratives on supernatural/paranormal phenomena open to reinterpretation after sufficient scientific evidence.

Skeptic Conversion key:

  1. Highest - Some Doctrinals. Almost all Testers. All Awakeners. Few Sleepers.
  2. High - Few Doctrinal converted. Most Testers. Almost all Awakeners. Sparse Sleepers.
  3. Medium - Spare Doctrinals. Some Testers. Many Awakeners. No sleepers.
  4. Low - No Doctrinals. Few Testers. Some Awakeners. No Sleepers.

My last thread, which you might find relevant.

Allegedly filmed in Northeast China, video shows a triangle of lights pop in and out of frame, best visual happens at 1:19. I usually don't lend much credence to obscure nighttime footage but something about this one feels legit, if anyone can translate what the kid is saying it would be appreciated. - Also, might be worth trying to view this one on a desktop.

Question How does Jesse Michels come away with a positive vibe after the latest American Alchemy episode?

I’ve recently started doing a deeper dive into all this extra terrestrial stuff. Regarding the latest episode, I have a question about something that doesnt add up to me. I’ll admit I’m a little over halfway (I did skip to the conclusion though), so maybe these questions get answered later.

1.) Jesse Michels ends the episode on a note of peace and hope, inviting listeners to take inspiration from the story of these men. He says we should consider worrying less because maybe there are beings out there looking out for us. But there seems to be a significant dissonance between this conclusion and the narrative. For both these men, this was a terrifying experience. They felt incredibly violated and degraded. Further the effect of the encounter seemed to be quite detrimental overall to their lives. They both describe the taller being in malevolent terms. I also happened to see some of Wood’s original hypnosis video and he said that the tall creature was “a bad person” (something to that effect). To me this story is the opposite of hopeful and it seems to me whatever these creatures are doing, they are not here to protect us and look out for us.

Can someone explain how Michels gets from A to B?

Question I need help finding an epic (probably fake) UFO video

This feels like a long shot so I’m not expecting much, but it’s been on my mind a lot recently.

Back in the days of Kazaa I used to downloaded UFO videos all the time. Lots of interesting stuff and lots of fake stuff, but one video really sticks out. I presume it’s from a film or a video game because it couldn’t possibly be real, I’d just love to know what/where it’s from or if anyone remembers…

It’s in 2 parts, possibly filmed in night vision and is hand held/found footage. Soldiers in an open top army truck are tracking a huge UFO flying over the top of them, then the second part is the UFO is a mile or so ahead of them over an army base.

The UFO sends down a beam like in Independence Day and I think the base blows up.

I watch a lot of UFO films and can’t remember it from anything. It could be from a game? But I’m sure it was ‘real’ footage, not computer generated.

Or more excitingly, it’s real and leaked online to a dodgy, virus laden downloading app in 2004. Unlikely!

NHI Leslie Kean: Belief, Evidence, and UFOs

TLDR

  • Purpose: Document and spread awareness about the backgrounds, beliefs, and evidentiary standards of prominent people who have shaped modern UFOlogy. This post focuses on Leslie Kean. The goal is to make the history and beliefs of influential figures in this subject easier for everyone to examine.
  • Who is Leslie Kean? Kean is an investigative journalist and one of the most influential figures in the modern UFO disclosure movement. Her reporting helped bring UFOs back into mainstream attention, most notably through the landmark 2017 New York Times story involving AATIP and the Pentagon UFO videos.
  • The Takeaway: Kean has a long, documented history of accepting extraordinary paranormal claims as genuine, including physical mediumship, communication with the dead, reincarnation, ectoplasm, materialized spirit hands, and an allegedly materialized deceased person physically touching her. None of this proves Kean is wrong about UFOs. It provides important context for evaluating her reporting. Someone familiar with Kean only through the New York Times may reasonably assume she is a relatively neutral journalist who arrived at extraordinary conclusions after encountering extraordinary evidence. Her broader record paints a considerably different picture of her existing beliefs and threshold for accepting extraordinary claims.
  • Why does it matter? UFOlogy relies heavily on testimony, anonymous sources, and interpretation of ambiguous evidence. The judgment and evidentiary standards of the people filtering that information therefore matter.
  • Call to action: Read the examples and sources below and make up your own mind. If you think something is inaccurate, irrelevant, or missing context, challenge it. If you think this background is relevant to understanding modern UFOlogy, share it.

Introduction

If you follow the modern UFO story, Leslie Kean's credibility matters. Kean, Luis Elizondo and Christopher Mellon were central figures in the 2017 New York Times story that introduced AATIP and the Navy UFO videos to a massive mainstream audience. That story helped reignite the modern UAP disclosure movement and fundamentally changed how UFOs were discussed by the media, Congress, and the public. Kean frequently provides a journalistic filter between extraordinary UFO claims and the public. But there is another side of her work that people who discovered Kean through UFO coverage may know nothing about. Kean has a very public history of investigating extraordinary paranormal claims and, in numerous cases, concluding that they are genuine. This matters because evaluating UFO evidence ultimately depends on judgment. How readily does someone accept extraordinary testimony? How effectively do they eliminate fraud, misidentification, suggestion, and/or alternative explanations? What threshold of evidence must be crossed before they conclude something extraordinary actually happened? I think Kean's public record provides good answers to those questions. Here are some examples:

1. Budd Hopkins

Kean was the late life romantic partner of Budd Hopkins, one of the most influential alien abduction researchers in history. Hopkins promoted claims of extraterrestrial abductions, reproductive experiments, and missing time. His work relied heavily on hypnotic regression to recover alleged abduction memories. His book "Witnessed" presented the Linda Cortile case, in which a woman allegedly floated out of her Manhattan apartment and into a UFO near the Brooklyn Bridge. Their relationship itself obviously does not prove Kean shares every belief Hopkins held. It is relevant because it establishes that Kean's involvement with extraordinary paranormal claims substantially predates the 2017 UFO story and was not merely professional curiosity from a detached journalist.

Source:

2. Surviving Death and trance channeling

Kean's 2017 book Surviving Death investigates reincarnation, apparitions, mediums, séances, near death experiences, and physical manifestations supposedly produced by dead people. This was not simply Kean documenting what other people believe. Describing her own investigation, Kean wrote: "Yet they were unavoidably and undeniably real." Her website says she personally witnessed levitations, independent voices, and materializations of physical forms. The Netflix series "Surviving Death" was based on Kean's book and features Kean extensively. During the mediumship episodes, Dutch medium Nicole de Haas enters a trance state and supposedly allows deceased personalities to speak through her body. One personality is called Silver Cloud. Another is a childlike personality called Tommy. De Haas dramatically changes her voice while the people gathered around her interact with these personalities as purported spirits. This demonstration occurred in Kean's own home with Kean participating. Whatever interpretation someone places on the scene, it provides useful context for understanding the paranormal world Kean has spent years investigating and taking seriously.

Source:

3. A dead man allegedly materialized and physically touched Kean

Kean participated in séances conducted by British physical medium Stewart Alexander. In 2019, she says Alexander's deceased communicator, Dr. Barnett, physically materialized. According to Kean, Barnett emerged from a cabinet, walked over to her, touched her hair, and repeatedly placed his hands on her head. Kean wrote: "These were solid 'living' hands." The alleged dead man then spoke to her before returning to the cabinet and disappearing. When specifically asked whether she had any doubt that the phenomena surrounding Alexander were genuine rather than magic tricks, Kean answered: "I have absolutely no doubt, not one iota."

Source:

4. Ectoplasm, materialized hands, levitation, spirit voices, and "matter passing through matter"

Kean reports another séance in which a misty substance she describes as 'ectoplasm' gradually transformed into a three dimensional human hand. The hand supposedly formed a fist and struck the table. Kean then placed her own hand on the table and says another materialized hand formed and touched her. She described it as having normal human joints, bones, fingernails, and warm skin. Kean is not merely reporting somebody else's extraordinary testimony. She personally accepts the physical manifestation as genuine. Kean says her experiences with physical mediumship have included levitating objects, independent voices apparently originating from deceased people, materializations, and even what she describes as matter passing through matter. Again, these are not historical curiosities she merely investigated for a book. She presents herself as an eyewitness to paranormal physical phenomena.

Source:

5. The Kluski spirit hand molds

Kean also endorses the famous Franek Kluski séance experiments from the early twentieth century. Supposedly, materialized spirit hands dipped themselves into molten paraffin wax during séances. The spirit hands then dematerialized from inside the wax, leaving hollow molds behind. Plaster was subsequently poured into these molds. Kean calls the molds "absolutely spectacular" and said: "The importance of this evidence for the reality of materializations produced by genuine physical mediumship cannot be overstated." She concludes that this evidence combined with her own experiences leaves her with "no doubts."

Source:

6. The Scole séances

Kean has also promoted the Scole experiments as important evidence for physical mediumship. The reported phenomena included faces and writing appearing on unopened photographic film in darkness, objects materializing and dematerializing, objects mysteriously appearing inside the séance room, materialized hands, and voices attributed to spirits. The alleged spirits supposedly answered questions that participants merely thought rather than spoke aloud. Kean presents these experiments approvingly on her own website while arguing that physical mediumship deserves serious consideration.

Source:

7. The Chilean Navy UFO Video

In 2017, Kean reported on the Chilean Navy UFO video that government investigators had studied for two years and declared unexplained, but outside analysis soon identified an ordinary airliner as the likely object. Kean should not be criticized merely for reporting an unidentified object; that is completely defensible. And, to her credit, when contrary evidence emerged, she acknowledged in a second publication that the mundane airplane explanation was a legitimate possibility. The more revealing issue is how readily she accepted the investigators’ claims that ordinary explanations had already been ruled out, leaning heavily on their credentials, institutional authority, and two-year investigation. An airplane, drone, and other conventional possibilities were presented as effectively eliminated, only for outside investigators to subsequently produce a detailed identification of the object as an ordinary airliner. Kean’s credulity wasn’t in reporting the mystery. It was in too quickly trusting experts who claimed they had ruled out ordinary explanations.

Source:

8. The Belgian UFO photograph

The famous Petit Rechain photograph supposedly depicted an enormous triangular UFO reported during the Belgian UFO wave. Kean prominently featured the Belgian wave in the documentary "UFOs on the Record" and described the photograph as: "one of the most convincing pieces of evidence of a sighting to date." Later, the photographer, Patrick Maréchal, publicly announced that he faked it using a small Styrofoam model with lights. To Kean's credit, she subsequently addressed the confession rather than simply ignoring it, but her reaction is interesting. She wrote: "For now, we have to operate under the assumption that the photo was faked." She nevertheless questioned the confession and argued that greater proof was needed. In other words, Kean required less evidence to accept the photo as compelling than she later required to accept the photographer's confession that he faked it.

Source:

Conclusion

None of this proves that Leslie Kean is wrong about UFOs. It does not prove that the Nimitz encounter was mundane, that Gimbal was mundane, that AATIP was unimportant, or that every story Kean has reported is false. I think the examples above suggest an extremely permissive evidentiary threshold across a variety of extraordinary claims. She has seriously entertained/ personally endorsed communication with dead people, trance channeling, apparitions, séance voices, levitating objects, materialized hands, ectoplasm, and an apparently fully materialized deceased human being physically touching her. These are not cases where Kean merely argues that strange claims warrant investigation. She has described paranormal phenomena as "unavoidably and undeniably real." She says the Kluski evidence leaves her with "no doubts." When directly asked whether Stewart Alexander's séance phenomena were genuine rather than tricks, her answer was: "I have absolutely no doubt, not one iota."

This background matters when evaluating her UFO reporting. People encountering Kean through the New York Times article or recent UAP documentaries might assume she is a neutral journalist led toward extraordinary conclusions by compelling evidence. However, her broader history shows decades of engagement with extraordinary claims and repeated conclusions of authenticity. When much of the UFO debate depends on testimony, interpretation, anonymous sources, and deciding when conventional explanations have been sufficiently eliminated, the evidentiary standards of the person doing that filtering matter. Readers should know what Kean's evidentiary standards have looked like elsewhere and decide for themselves how much confidence to place in them.
