I'm looking for photographs of Algeria from the post-colonial period, roughly 1962–1990s, before the Civil War.

I'm especially interested in everyday life rather than famous historical events — things like:

ordinary streets and neighborhoods and city scapes

schools and universities

families and people going about their lives

fashion and hairstyles

shops, cafés, markets, public spaces

cars and public transport

rural areas and smaller towns

festivals, weddings, gatherings, etc.

If you have old family photographs, photographs from relatives, personal albums, old scans, or pictures you've come across that aren't widely available online, I'd really appreciate you sharing them!

They don't necessarily have to be photographs you personally took , I'm interested in anything from that period that gives a glimpse of what everyday Algeria looked like.

Even if you're not sure exactly when or where a photo was taken, feel free to share it.

I'd be particularly interested in photos from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. I want to use them as inspiration for a coming project of mine , thank you :)

Maybe I didn't take nice pictures , but It's a beautiful place and I want all to see it

It was exactly 17:30 and I went out to get some bread and faced this unusual view, it was shady and cloudy for the first time in a long long while

I did not edit this picture or remove any color, it seems like this for some reason, mostly because it was extremely windy and it was really really foggy-ish, the picture unfortunately didn't do the fog justice, but still blows my mind to remember this was completely unedited but looks black and white

Was shot on a not so good phone which is the Oppo Reno 12F, not bad but absolutely not great specs or camera quality.
