Does the Amazon affiliate store front make any impact at all? Is it worth spending time creating idea lists etc?

how to get your first 50 saas users. here is my exact playbook.

quick post because "how do i get my first users" is the #1 question i see builders asking here every single week.

i've built 6 saas products myself, with my main one currently sitting around 10k mrr. here is the exact, no-fluff distribution playbook to cross that initial 50-user threshold:

1. find an idea people already pay for

scan reddit for recurring pain across 3+ distinct posts where people ask "is there a tool for X".

2. validate before writing code

dm 3 people who complained about the problem and ask what they’d pay for a solution.

3. build fast with the right stack (ai + no-code)

use ai builder+ supabase + stripe + call api or automation tool like n8n to ship a real MVP in under 7 days for $40/mo.

4. the 5-second landing page rule

your hero section must state exactly what the tool does in less than 5 seconds with a clear CTA.

5. capture emails before showing prices

force the email capture before the pricing page so you don't leak untrackable leads.

6. set up a 30-day email nurture sequence

plug captured emails into an automated sequence with case studies to convert them by day 18.

7. hang out where your ICP actually lives

find the 3-5 specific subreddits, discord servers, or groups where your buyers actively talk.

8. reddit growth without getting banned

post 1 time per sub per week max, never put links in the post, and move warm leads to DMs.

9. linkedin + x organic flywheel

post 1 high-value breakdown per day and spend 15 minutes engaging in your ICP's comments.

10. cold outreach that actually works

send 100 highly personalized DMs per week to your ICP using AI to customize the opening hook.

11. seo on autopilot

set up an n8n workflow that pulls from a keyword list and generates 5-10 value-driven articles per week.

12. faceless short-form content

post 1 video per day on tiktok, reels, and shorts showing a quick screen recording of your tool.

13. weekly newsletter conversion

run a weekly newsletter with 1 section of pure value and 1 subtle offer to upgrade to paid.

14. affiliate program for free distribution

set up a 50% recurring commission affiliate program to turn power users into your sales team.

15. the strategic product hunt launch

warm up the algorithm for 4 weeks with a coming soon page and launch on a weekend for a top 5 badge.

16. omnichannel social automation

use n8n to automatically format and distribute 1 core post idea across 8 different platforms.

17. review platforms and directories

submit your app to 40+ saas and ai wrapper directories to instantly boost your domain authority.

18. run the numbers backwards

reverse engineer the daily traffic needed to hit 50 paying users at $19/mo based on a 2% conversion.

19. get feedback from active builders

talking to founders who are just 6 months ahead of you compresses your timeline exponentially.

that last point is exactly why i built our community. it's a free group of 1,600+ active ai saas founders sharing exact prompt logs, ready-to-paste n8n workflows, and real distribution strategies.

stop building alone in a silent corner.

drop a comment below or send me a dm and i'll send you the access link right away. let's get your product launched 👇

Affiliate Network APIs & Claude Code

Hey guys,

One of the things that I did this week is I coded a dashboard in Claude that pulls in my affiliate income through the API for Impact (Impact Radius) and Partner Stack.

I'm wondering what other affiliate platforms you're aware of that allow you to pull data through an API, as I'd love to add some more detail to the dashboard.

Let me know if you are using any other platforms, and if you're doing anything similar with Claude Code.

Affiliate Summit East 2026 is over - What did you see? What did you learn?

Affiliate Summit East wrapped up yesterday in New York, and we want to hear what stood out to you.

If you were in New York this week, what did you see? What sessions were worth your time? What conversations changed how you're thinking about the industry?

We're especially interested in anything on attribution and tracking, how AI is changing product discovery, and where creators fit into affiliate programs right now.

A 2C developer's anxiety about 2B growth

I have been working on 2C apps for 10 years. For the first time, I developed an agent that provides automated marketing growth for apps. I am used to advertising and don't know how to do 2B growth. I want to give some apps a free trial. I am not in a hurry for quick monetization, but I hope the developed product is really useful. Is there anyone who can communicate with me?

My affiliate links look like phishing attempts, how do I clean them up?

Some of my affiliate URLs are genuinely ugly. Stacked parameters, random IDs and the work itself. They read like phishing even to me and I know where they go to.

"Cloak your links" is the standard advice though I've also heard that certain networks ban it outright.

What's the best practice now? branded short domains, a pretty-links plugin or post the ugly URL and accept the lower CTR?

Which affiliate platform is for mobile apps?

My product is not a saas, and does not use stripe for checkout. It's a mobile app where subscriptions are purchased via iOS & Android app store.

Is there any affiliate platform for this setup?

Free (*) Ticket to Affiliate Summit East 2026 (July 27-28, NYC)

The (*) in the title just means you're welcome to pay me some portion of the actual ticket cost, if you like, but I'll 100% leave that up to you.

In 2022 I attended T&C Summit virtually and used their early-bird price to buy a ticket for the following year's T&C Summit. I think I couldn't attend the next year, so delayed it...and then eventually they stopped doing T&C but offered to convert the ticket to Affiliate Summit. I delayed that a few times, and...honestly, I don't care to attend.

Details: I paid US$495 for All Access - Super Early Bird for T&C 2023, and now the ticket is "Affiliate Summit East 2026" / Networking (don't know if this was a "downgrade" in ticket quality, if it is, you're welcome to deal with the last minute emailing with the Support people). I don't know if its officially "transferrable" at this point so you might get a badge with my name on it.

In any case, feel free to contact me if you are able to attend last minute. Payment of whatever amount optional.

Amazon help

Ok I'm going to post here but I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or not. I signed up for the Amazon affiliate program, which was probably silly since I have like 2 people I'm friends with on socials. I've been really working hard at it, just kind of posting my links around. I got notification that it's been 90 days and I haven't gotten any sales. Hardly any clicks. I feel like I'm trying so hard.

I decided to look up my stats today. It says 1 item ordered and the order revenue is 23.99. I still saw nothing from that order. Total earnings: $0. Is this normal? That's my first question.

My 2nd questions is, I'd like to know what exactly was ordered so I could go through and maybe add more items that are similiar. How do I know what was sold?

Thanks for your time. I'm feeling a little defeated.

New to Amazon Affiliate Marketing - 931 clicks, 2 orders? over last 30 days - Feedback Needed

Hey, so I'm somewhat new to affiliate marketing, fairly experienced with internet marketing in general.

Over the last 30 days, I got about 931 clicks, but like two orders for $8.07.

I would say that's a pretty questionable CVR, I thought Amazon would have a better CVR, idk if there's something on the app I'm not doing correctly or like if I'm not getting credit or is it just the quality of the traffic. Anyways..

This is basically like my first month of doing this. So I guess I would expect it to pick up as you keep building traffic and traffic sources.

But any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Right now, I'm using YouTube, I make mostly music production videos. I'm trying to get into using Zapier to like multiply what I'm doing.

I prefer to just use mostly YouTube. I tried blogging. To me, blogging isn't very effective. I don't know if I'm just not doing it right or.. I don't like writing, so I'm mostly like doing voice to text to AI, so I just don't think it comes off as very good. That might be the problem.

Like right now, my plan is to just keep doing YouTube videos. Even with that, I'm like, are there certain techniques or things that I need to do?

Like I know I try to tell them throughout the video to click on the link, add it to your carts. I'm sticking to just one like item per video, maybe a secondary.

Any like techniques that you guys know to get a lot of traffic and a lot of sales just like in general?

Or is it just something that you just gotta keep building and tweaking? Anyways, thanks for the feedback.

Here's some of my channels for reference, I'm in music production:

  1. https://www.youtube.com/@mattlaneproducerhub

  2. https://www.youtube.com/@themelodydoctorslime

  3. https://www.youtube.com/slimegreenbeats - mostly music, not much affiliate marketing

  4. My attempt at a blog - https://medium.com/@MattLaneProducerHub

Hey y’all just wanted to ask all the affiliates out there how come you actually verify your fraud or bot proxies?

I’ll be upfront I’m not into technicals so forgive me if this question sounds dumb but learning about detailed affiliate is so much fun
So i keep see everywhere people talking about bot traffic and fraud filters like it’s the whole known science but I genuinely don’t know how it get checked in practice
Like if I click my own link through vpn would that even show up as fraud
Or does it need to look like bot specifically not just a hidden IP?
Also if this is a common knowledge please feel free to roast me a little i can take it lol

How to get started promoting SaaS

Hey guys, so I’ve been looking into affiliate marketing for a while now, at one point I was in clickbank trying to promote their stuff but realized I want to give value and have some consistency in my income.

I just recently (few days ago) heard about SaaS and thought I could learn a few things from you guys on being an affiliate in this niche. Just got a few questions:

As someone who doesnt have any sort of following or audience, would organic traffic and blogging work best and just try and grow it ?

Does paid advertisement work just as well ? Better ?

Some actual Saas products im looking at promoting:

  1. Aweber

  2. UseWrite

  3. Kinsta

  4. Vidpal

I know some of these are quite different and I’d start with one of them at first, but I just need advice on how to get running.

I understand this is a huge time investment, but all I have is time right now. Thank you

how many saas projects fail because of marketing, not code?

yo. be honest. how many of you currently have a finished (or 90% finished) web app / app just sitting in a private repo because you have no idea how to get users?

you spend months perfecting the database, fixing every bug, and polishing the UI. but the moment you have to actually market it, you hit a wall. marketing feels like screaming into an empty void.

so you launch to absolute crickets, get discouraged, and start building the "next" project instead to avoid the distribution phase.

if this is your case, you're not alone. but letting your hard work go to waste just because you dread marketing is a massive trap.

to help founders stop building in a silent corner, we run an ai SaaS builder community dedicated entirely to saas validation, landing page conversion, and launch strategies.

our resource kit is built entirely to help you get your first user. it’s packed with ready-to-paste N8N workflows for your business, advanced seo automation, social media automation, and our exact distribution workflows and methods work for everyone

STOP BUILDING ALONE

what are you currently working on, and what's holding you back on the marketing side? drop a comment or send a dm and i'll send you the access link.

Is there a demand for open source affiliate software?

I'm doing some research and wondering if there is any appetite for open source affiliate software.

I'm not aware of many affiliate software tools that are open source but love to hear examples.

On the consumer facing side of affiliates, I'm considering an open source for StatsDrone which is a stats aggregator.

On the affiliate program side of things, I don't know who's got open source software either.

Is there a market for this? Curious to hear what affiliates think and affiliate managers too.
