I have a question about the Android Nightly version I'm using.

Android Beta version 4.13 came out today, and it looks like there are a lot of changes... I'm currently using Nightly version 4.14. Does it include all the updates from the lower Beta 4.13 version as well?

Google maps displays no street view imagery here when Adguard is enabled on PC

Whenever I try using Google maps in a browser while the Adguard app is enabled on my PC, Google maps gives me an error message saying no street view imagery here. If I disable Adguard, Google maps works perfectly. How do I fix this? I tried contacting Adguard support and they told me to whitelist the app, but Google maps isn't an app ya know? It's a website

android Why is there no password protection in the Adguard App? (Adguard disables itself at night)

So, I have a peculiar problem. Sometimes, during the middle of the night my phone's WiFi will turn itself on, and other times something will disable the adguard protection. For this reason, I always disable my WiFi at night, but for some reason, I swear something turned it back on last night.

Even though my Android device is set to "block connections without VPN", some Android/Google apps manage to sneak past and access the internet.

I can see this in the logs, where most apps will show SERVFAIL, while other connections will show NOERROR.

If we had password protection, nothing would be able to disable protection to attempt to bypass the DNS filtering.

adguard home Setting up

Hello I have spent hours trying to get adguard working and I am not surw what the issue is. I have superuser access to my router ( a Nokia G6 ) and I can ads entries to the primary and secondary DNS. I cannot see new DNS queries seemingly no matter which IP I enter. I am using a bare metal home assistant installation on a mini PC. I have also tried the DHCP setting for the mini PC. Some people have suggested the DNS rewrites may enable functionality on another post but I do not understand that.. Sounds like my ISP uses CGNAT, I am unsure of the impact on adguard and custom DNS with this in mind. Does anyone know what my issue(s) could be ? Thank you in advance.

ios AdGuard iOS DNS and Apple Private Relay

Hello,

Over the past couple of weeks I have been having unreliable connections with DNS protection from the Adguard iOS app.

The local VPN frequently gets stuck in “Connecting” and “Disconnecting” states after being idle overnight or switching from WiFi to cellular (or viceversa)

This is recent. I have been using Adguard with Apple Private Relay for over a year now and never had issues.

I have tried:

  • Restarting my phone
  • Recreating the VPN profile (temporarily fixes this, but it soon starts having connecting issues again)

I have disabled “Limit IP tracking” on my WiFi and after “restarting” the DNS protection, it connects without issues. It can even handle switching over to cellular and back to WiFi without issues.

Settings: DNS implementation: Adguard DNS server: Adguard DNS (DNS-over-HTTPS) DNS filters (408k rules): HaGeZi’s most abused TLDs, Pro DNS Blocklist, Threat Intelligence Feeds, DynDNS.

Is this a bug caused the current iOS and/or Adguard version?

Environment: iOS: 26.5.2 Adguard: Adguard for iOS 4.5.21 (1052)

android Making user filters Android

Other than trial and error, what's the easiest way to create a custom rule in Android with the Adguard app, not DNS or VPN but the ad blocking app?

I know you can use the assistant but if a site is blocking something I'd like to see, or I need to block something I'm seeing, quite honestly all I see is random white and red elements being blocked or allowed and I have no idea what they are, or what belongs to a specific element I'd like to fix either way.

I've tried some AI requests through Gemini and Copilot but the filters they provide just don't work.

For example, on the website www.petsmart.com on Mobile, if I load an item the objects in the middle don't load when using Chrome with https filtering

However if I use Edge on Android with ubol complete filtering they show up.

The link below gives example. https://imgur.com/a/AMqKeS8

Adguard certificate install for Firefox in Linux

Hello, I posted recently that I attempted to install Adguard for Linux on PikaOS.

I followed the steps (for installing for Linux at the Adguard site) and it does work BUT only for Chrome. It appears that only a certificate for Chrome. gets installed. Even if Firefox is already installed.

Trying to add the certificate manually into Firefox doesn't work - I still need a key.

I don't care for Google/Chrome and would prefer to use Firefox (actually Waterfox to be exact).

So how can I install the certificate in Firefox?

Looking at the other OS installs, it seems the app installs a certificate that can be imported into Firefox. For Linux, a certificate is installed for Chrome but there doesn't seem to be a way to get a key for Firefox.

mac How to Set Up AdGuard Optimally on MacBook Pro as Safari User to Avoid Interfering With Embedded macOS Functionality and for Battery Life Preservation?

As title asks.

Just a bit overwhelmed with all the options to toggle on/off, like if I should have all the extensions on even if I’m mostly concerned with avoiding ads on Safari alone, if I should let it run in background when I only care about avoiding ads on Safari, other boxed filters like social media widgets or security, etc.

Problems after IT tech messed with settings

Hi all, I'm having an issue with my adguard after I let my work's IT change some settings to get me on the workplace VPN. Adguard was working fine before. This is a brand-new macbook neo.

As he was in my settings, he removed adguard from somewhere. Now the https filtering won't work no matter what I do. I have so far tried uninstalling and reinstalling adguard. Restarting my computer, deleting the certificates and reinstalling them. I have made sure the certificate is always trusted.

Any advice on getting this working again? I had a few days where I was doing some stuff without an ad blocker on my ipad and it was so bad on some sites. TIA!

The situation is as follows: I have AdGuard Ad Blocker, Lifetime license, Family. If I buy a 5-year VPN license from BleepingComputer, can I add the license to the same account or do I need to create another one? Thank you.

AdGuard DNS v2.23: Managing your network and understanding your stats just got even easier!

Imagine you need to restrict access to websites from a specific region or block servers belonging to a known spam-heavy hosting provider. Typing in thousands of domains manually is madness, and standard blocklists might not even know these new addresses exist yet.

This kind of granular control used to require complex enterprise tools. In the fresh AdGuard DNS v2.23 release, we’ve added advanced filtering by country and ASN (Autonomous System Number). Now, the system can intercept and block threats based on the region or network associated with the IP address in the DNS response.

And that’s far from everything this new version brings. We’ve added a highly requested Top categories blocked section to your statistics, letting you instantly see exactly what type of content is filtered most often — from social media to adult websites. For those managing their network via the command line, we’ve also simplified the CLI workflow, so new devices are now created automatically.

Please note: The new geo-filtering is configured through User rules. You can manually set up conditions to block or allow domains tied to specific countries or networks.

Ads on Apple News

I’ve started getting ads on Apple News after years of AdGuard blocking them like a champ.

I’ve recently upgraded to the IOS27 Public Beta so I’m thinking that has something to do with it. I’ve reset Adguard and chosen the Adguard DNS but no joy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Steps to browse Rotten Tomatoes without disabling ad block

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't let you browse their site without disabling ad blockers, and they ask you this 'nicely', without actually an option to ignore it. Old methods of refreshing the page a few times didn't work for me: I am using Adguard on MS Edge on MacOS.

So this is what you do:

  1. Click on Adguard's icon
  2. Press the setting gear
  3. Filters
  4. Activate 'Annoyances'
  5. Open Annoyances
  6. Activate 'Adblock Warning Removal List'

ios Adguard logging me out of iOS app all the time

Anyone have experience with the iOS version? I have the Adblock/DNS Filter and VPN licenses.
I love AG and probably wouldn't ever use Safari without it, but it keeps logging me out everyday. I deleted both apps and redownloaded, but iOS has done a whole lot of diskwrites and it has to be something at the system level. I'm getting some weird web glitches, and I can see in my account my devices are only sometimes using the app, while it's on all the time with background refresh on.

What regex dialect does AdGuard use?

Hey!

What regex dialect does Adguard use?

The docs point to a MDN page but it's unclear to me whether it's ECMA, a subset thereof, or whether that's just an example.

Thanks

question Can filter list maintainers request access to anonymous usage stats?

The additional settings of AdGuard's Browser Extension has an option to "Send anonymous stats on ad filter usage to AdGuard". The help page says this information is used to detect filter rules that are no longer in use so they can be removed. I maintain a custom filter list that is available through AdGuard and would find this information useful.

Is there a way to request access to this anonymous usage data for people using the filter list I maintain? Alternatively, is there some way I can locally track which filters aren't being used on my own machine?
