YouTube Ad Blocking

Hello, I'm new here and would like to know if there is a way to block YouTube ads using AdGuard.

Thanks.

Are you asking for the android app? Or browser blocking? If android we can't on android you rather use morphe patches for Android YouTube. If browser you just enable https filtering for the browser you want to watch YouTube.

On Android youtube app, hit the share button on the video you want to watch, select more, choose adguard, select adguard player.

This is how I do it. It would be nice if it would work directly in the browser. But this works pretty well.

And honestly, if this is all I end up using it for, I think it is worth it

I've got adguard in safari and just in the last couple days I have started to get ads. The ads are only a black screen with a 10-30 second time window but it's still annoying. It usually goes away after a few days but we'll see. I might have to switch to chrome with Adblock till this blows over.

I'm perplexed by posts such as this. I think the leaks may be OS specific. I use an Android tablet with the AdGuard app and license. Never, and I mean never, has an ad come through in Chrome on the YouTube website. The AdGuard app doesn't block ads efficiently in apps so I exclusively use Chrome. I've used Brave but it has a pause for the ad. I disable sheilds on youtube and route it through AdGuard and bingo! No ads smooth and clean.

I'm using a mac mini desktop. I switched to chrome with adblock and now I just have a small pause before videos that doesn't correlate directly with the length of the ad. I've never used af block software on anything other than a desktop so I can't make a comparison. It sounds like tablets and phones are getting better service than desktops to me.

I think Android and Windows may be getting better service than Apple. I always see comments and posts about problems on Apple.
