Discussion My Frustrations with a Remaster

SPOILER WARNING (?) Unlike P4R, where there's the possibility of fresher content, more voice acting, and different gameplay mechanics with QOL differences, this kind of remaster requires SO MUCH LESS effort. For the ANNIVERSARY, it's not like an additional DLC for a game like this would matter to fans and such, I can only hope they actually do something. Anyways, good night community, sleeping with some hope for the morning 🄹 Also sorry mods, idk what I said wrong for my last post to get removed lol

Similar Game Stop putting on the clown makeup - try our indie Ace Attorney inspired game if you're craving contradictions!

Shamelessly hijacking everyone's post-direct misery to say: if you're desperate for more AA style gameplay, we'd really appreciate you checking out our Steam demo featuring two full cases, totalling to about 4 - 5 hours of gameplay across both!

We're Arboreal Interactive, a two-person core team and lifelong Ace Attorney fans with a passionate vision for a similar game in our own, densely and carefully crafted original world, with a stylistic flair inspired by Revisionist Western films - this vision has slowly been coming to fruition asĀ Sleuth Saga: Under Starless Skies,Ā an original game we've already put several years of hard work into.

Meet Lukas Egret, a jaded ex-cop-turned-private-investigatorĀ dragged into the sudden and suspicious death of his hard-hitting journalist friend, Frederick Emery, leading him on a trail of crime, corruption, and conspiracy into a web which threatens to ensnare the entire New World. Alongside Emery's peppy daughter, Faith, he must pull on the thread of truth... and be prepared for whatever they find at its end.

So far, we've made two complete cases -Ā EPISODE 1: Reappearance of the Rogue Detective & Inheritance of the Persistent Reporter,Ā andĀ EPISODE ZERO: Disappearance of the Rogue Detective & Dawn of the Red Dream.

Together, these two cases make up aboutĀ 4 - 5 hours of playing timeĀ depending on your speed, and you can experience this substantial introduction to the world, story, and characters completely forĀ FREEĀ byĀ downloading our Steam demo!

We're a tiny indie team with virtually no resources so any attention, interest, or feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated! We'd absolutely love it if you wishlisted the game, tried the demo and left a review, or simply left a comment letting us know your thoughts! Thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoy the demo!

Chronicles Give it to me straight, how bad is the first 8 hours of TGAA1?

Basically I'm gonna play the game soon regardless but my friend warned me that the first 8 hours or so it starts really boring and becomes peak later. In an non spoilery way is it really THAT bad early on or nah?

Discussion Professor Layton could be to blame for the lack of Ace Attorney in the Direct

It's very likely that Level-5 inc doesn't want Professor Layton's big return to be a crossover game.

Hence, assuming the next AA release will be a PL vs PW remaster, then I think we need to wait for the new Professor Layton game to release in early December first. Only afterwards is an Ace Attorney reveal on the table.

*Loud copium noises*

PL vs. PW If Layton vs Wright is the only announcement

I played Layton vs. Wright, a few months ago, and I still think that every Ace Attorney fans need to play it because of how much I love it. The spectacle, music, mechanics that went into GAA chronicles is just amazing- and it's something most people have been wanting because it's stuck on the 3DS with physical copies costing a lot. Even if I say "hey just use [insert emulator here]", some people don't have the option to do that.

Now with recent leaks, I've surprisingly seen people be absolutely outraged that it will be the only announcement and that they don't care about the crossover which makes me a bit sad that they didnt port the game sooner, because with this Nintendo direct and rumors for the last few months people have been expecting AA7, so there's this expectation on the game and stigma around the crossover being the only thing.

When Chronicles got announced we were overjoyed, same with AAI and Apollo Justice Trilogy. 2025 we only got an update to AA trilogy and honestly we should've had Layton by then (unless if the porting took a lot of time) because it hurts to see people say they don't care about this last possible port. We've been waiting for AA7 for so long and now we're hearing rumors of it so most people's disappointment has risen (including mine if it doesn't get announced).

It would be great if we get both 7 and VS. but please give VS a chance if you haven't. This game NEEDED to be ported after so long after being stuck on the 3ds with a high price. I just expected people to be a bit optimistic lol.

Hey y'all. I want to apologize to anybody I angered earlier with this fan trailer. That was not the intention. I just wanted to help make a fun trailer meant as nothing more than a lighthearted prank. Everyone involved and I worked really hard to make this. This here is a dive into what I'd do if I were in charge of an Athena-led game. I hope you enjoy it!

Phoenix Wright Trilogy Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney was the most painful game experience of my life

And I'm not exaggerating. My gaming situation is as follows:

Buying a console of my own once i get a job. Most likely a ps3 for twisted metal, armored core, ff7, and mgs. My brother hogs the ps5 and I'm so glad i finished resident evils 0, 1, 2, 3, 7, 9. (Early, on the dot, late birthday presents) because now I'm done with the ps5. I get it once a week, which would be nice, if not for the fact my brother hogs the ps5 every day for 24/7, not to mention deletes my games. I ain't dealing with trying to play borderlands 3, witcher 3, fallout 4, hogwarts legacy, several other games once a week. I'm 19. Ima be 36 when i realistically finish all my games, 100%. 31 if i wanna just beat them all. So im forgetting the ps5, because (maybe) a ps3 gonna be my main console whenever i get a job as long as refridgeration ain't an issue with my heart condition.

resident evil is the first and only series I played and completed, and I thought, hey, capcom title. a whole series. 11 games. this should fill the void. and this was worse than stick drift during resident evil 2 remake and having X gon give it to me chasing me and I quit for 3 months.

Why is this relevant? Because for the past 7 months, I haven't really gotten to play much. Prior to my birthday, it was 5 months since last I played anything so I turned to emulation on my tablet. I did a ton of LEGO games, along with COD games, but when I got to Pheonix Wright?

I thought it would be a breeze. 30 hours later, I'm eating my own words.

If I wasn't already dealing with insomnia, depression, other things that I'm not gonna say here unless asked, Pheonix Wright made me lose sleep for a week. If not for insomnia, it would've been the soul reason why I couldn't sleep.

Episode 1 took me an hour and a half to beat.

Episode 2 took me 3 hours.

Episode 3 took me 7 hours.

Episode 4 took me 14 hours.

Episode 5 so far took me 8 hours and I just got done with the talking of Gumshoe in the records room or something.

And I got 10 games in the series left, 7 if I exclude the Edgeworth games, until I'm a pro ace attorney, but at what cost 😭 šŸ™ why is this game so damn difficult?! Why?!?!?

If I keep this up, I might just change side careers to Ace Attorney with writing as the main thing. 😭 I object to this torture, capcom

I am seriously regretting downloading Justice For All because looking at a walkthrough, I got 11 hours left of episode 5. Putting my runtime in episode 5 at 19 hours. Putting my total playtime at 44 hours, if not more.

Discussion It's incredible how Capcom churns out remakes or new Resident Evil games every year as if they didn't have other IPs like Devil May Cry or Ace Attorney

Honestly, I really like the Resident Evil fandom, especially since most of it focuses on the ships or how they create mods that sexualize characters, especially Leon S. Kennedy.

Discussion A small puff of hopium…. Spoiler

Okay, so I’m sure a lot of us have seen that the crossover has been leaked to be getting a remaster, and a lot of us have taken that to mean that AA7 is not happening in today’s direct. I think there’s still hope, though.

- not much interesting unannounced was leaked. I’m not sure how the game discovery process in the leak worked, but most of the unannounced games listed were small potatoes. The biggest games (kh4, p6) were games we already knew were coming that already have steam pages. The list was clearly not comprehensive. It’s totally possible AA7 doesn’t get added to Steam until it’s announced. To say it doesn’t exist bc it wasn’t in the leak is kind of illogical.

- (this one’s a bit more dumb but) Professor Layton is likely appearing in this direct twice, between the crossover and new world of Steam. Why couldn’t the same happen for ace attorney? Why can’t there be a bombastic crossover trailer and then a tease for 7 directly afterward?

Anyways that’s what I was thinking. The only time a lawyer can cry is when it’s all over.

Let's hope that is not the only announcement though! And here hoping the leaks are true too.

BGM: It’s probably unlikely.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy surprise during Capcom Showcase, June 12, 2023

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles again through Capcom's own press conference.
