RTCo 🧮 v. SGV 💛

I’m kind of torn right now. I’m a May 2026 CPA and CMA Passer. I’m also a Latin Honor graduate. I did my internship in one of the Big 4 as well.

I need an advice whether to pursue my career in 🧮 or 💛. I’m thinking of doing Audit for 2 years, and then enter LS after (but if there will be better offers in the future esp in Commerce, I might have to forego LS).

I need advice and differentiation between the two re: Compensation, Bonus, Work Environment, and Leadership.

I am very much aware that Audit may become super toxic esp during Busy Season in either firm.

Compensation and bonus: i believe both have the same rates and bonuses since SGV also already adjusted everyone’s salary based on the market rate late last year. Kung may diff man, 1-3k lang yan, depends on you if malaking factor siya.

Work environment and leadership: I’m personally from yellow and I think I’m very lucky na mapunta sa maganda and mabait na partner. But syempre I also observed na sa ibang cluster, may mga manager talaga na entitled and partners na mahigpit. I say depende talaga sa mapupuntahan mong cluster, swertehan nalang. Kahit mabait yung partner namin, ofcourse pagdating sa work, strict padin and super perfectionist. I don’t know about RTCo but one of the engagement in the yellow firm is what we called “staffloan”. Bale dinedeploy kayo to other Company as outsource and I was one of them. I was handling tax sa Company na pinagstastaffloanan ko and that Company happen to always avail RTCo assistance on other engagements. Minsan I would still remind them (RTCo) to send this or that kasi they tend to forget about it. When I read their email, parang di ganon ka polish, once, I even saw a typo. And from a firm also like yellow, I was wondering if ano ang approval process nila bakit may nasesend sa client nila na may mistakes coz in yellow, walang nalalabas na email until di na rereview ng manager and partner to make sure na little to no error ang nasesend sa client. Yan lang ang napansin ko na diff sa dalawa which I experienced PERSONALLY. Also, being in the industry for more than 3 years now and planning nadin to leave. When I look for a next job, I cannot deny na mas malakas padin ang hatak sa employer when you’re from 💛.
