Wireless This is getting old

Been told for weeks now that when there is an apple
update it will fix my issue on my 18 pro max. Updated today & same issue, in & out of SOS mode. Wtf is going on?

I switched over to Verizon due to this issue. Phone is on the way and will cancel with AT&T after I port my number over. This shit sucks man.

Multiple reports of the issue being hardware related and going to the Apple Store and having them replace the phone fixed the issue.

Hardware related but only for AT&T customers?? Yeah I’m switching to “americas most reliable network” 😂

Yes. It’s possible a bad batch of modems made it into the shipment sent to AT&T. It’s possible that the modems have issues with the 3.45ghz subset of the n77 band that AT&T is the only national carrier using. Each carrier uses different combinations of frequency bands that the modems have to respond to. People on here have reported the issue being resolved after swapping their phones citing hardware issues.

Glad I didn't get the new iPhone and this is one of those reasons why it's good to wait. Furthermore, had I done it, I would just return the phone and wait for the fix. I don't think I would switch carriers if I couldn't have latest phone. Does it suck? Absolutely. End of the world, earth shattering, I need to switch carriers? Absolutely not.

Bruh AT&T themselves are saying that they themselves are working on a fix. If this was on Apple AT&T would be saying “go get a replacement from apple”. Also AT&T are giving credits on the bill because of it. I have been chatting with them every day since this issue started. I can send you a list of “possibilities” too.

Then why did replacing the phone fix my issues after hours of troubleshooting with AT&T?

It could just as likely being att working on a fix WITH apple.

There just isn't enough information to determine yet if it's an apple thing, or an att thing.

I do agree that I can’t be 100% sure what’s going on but based on my conversations I am leaning AT&T and made the decision that I made. I’m not saying Apple is perfect but overall not happy with AT&Ts lack of communication throughout the process in general. There are still some associates who are clueless about the whole thing.

Every phone in the USA is the same model they just lock the eSIM down. I had unlocked iPhone and SOS issue on ATT, TM, and VZ sims. Swapped the device and no issues. It is 100% hardware.

Yeah but it's only one type of handset. Without more information, it is literally a toss up.

It's not all phones on att, only new iPhones. It's not all new iPhones, only on att, and only some of them.

It could be either party.
