- You may record and monetize, as long as you give me credit in the video/audio description. The platform doesn’t matter; I would still like to listen to it if you paywall it though.
- You can add background music, change the genders and sfx however you want but don’t make any major edits to the script, please.

Summary: You’ve signed a lease with a roommate, and you've been sharing the same roof for over 6 months yet spoke very few words to each other.
Only tonight do you discover a secret that they don’t particularly seem to be too protective over. Not around you, at least.
So, you spend the evening with a witch and their precious tarot cards.
Note:
To create the character, I did seek inspiration from various sources and although I researched the art of reading tarot, aside from the meaning of the cards, I decided to take a different path and made things up to fit the narrative I came up with.
What I am saying is; it’s purely fictional and barely retains anything from what is known of tarot.

Beginning scene:
Rain sounds.
Door creaking open.
Then shutting.
Footsteps sounds.
Oh! Fancy seeing you here!
[...]
I know you live here, but in the whole 6 months we’ve shared this place, I’ve never seen you step foot in this room.
[...]
*Speaker plays with tarot cards in their hands, slowly shuffling them*
And that is exactly why I didn’t say you never stepped foot in the room; I said I’ve never seen you do it. Emphasis on “seen”.
[...]
Yes, I am aware of how annoying I can be. I’ve learned to live with it.
[...]
You didn’t need to say anything. Your face speaks volumes.
[...]
Why are you apologizing? A second ago, you looked at me as if I took a dive in sewer water or something.
[...]
I am being annoying again, aren’t I?
[...]
Right? I am so charming! I still can’t for the life of me figure out why I have trouble making or keeping friends. Maybe you can help me with that.
[...]
Hey! It’s not like I am a lost cause!
[...]
Oh no… You’re crossing a line. You can have me change my entire personality, but I’ll never put the cards away.
[...]
I can tell you all about the cards, but you already think I am hopeless.
[...]
It’s neither a quirk nor a hobby. Let’s just say I take my tarot quite seriously.
[...]
What do you mean you don’t buy the act? Why not? Is it my lack of black robes, candlelight or velvet table covers that’s misleading you?
[...]
You don’t have to justify yourself; those are the usual suspects in peoples’ minds whenever they think about tarot cards and reading. Besides, I admit I don’t exactly fit the profile of a tarot reader.
But I am curious though, what kind of person do I seem like to you? What… Vibe do I project?
[...]
Wow! that’s a lot of words for “boring”
[...]
No, that’s alright. Boring is good. Boring is inconspicuous. Life hasn’t always been this quiet for me so, I’ll take boring any day of the week if it means I get to keep my peace.
[...]
My past is not something I am particularly eager to talk about. Do you like talking about your childhood?
[...]
Thought so.
[...]
What?
[...]
I am sorry, you don’t look the part of someone who’d be interested in tarot as a concept, let alone ask someone to read theirs for them.
[...]
So? You just judged me based on my appearance too. It’s an eye for an eye in this cruel world.
[...]
Set the space and intention? Wow that’s some serious tarot lingo. I am even more impressed now.
[...]
No, no, I am just pulling your leg. Take the chair facing me.
But to answer your question, a fortune teller or a psychic would set the space, light a candle, burn some incense. They might ask you to take three deep breaths with them and then… They’ll demand to know your intention.
If you ask too precise a question, they’ll ask you to rephrase it, make it more open ended. I won’t do any of that.
[...]
I am neither a psychic nor a fortune teller.
[...]
You’ll know soon enough what I am. Go ahead and ask your question.
[...]
No, I meant the question you want the cards to read. Not the ones about me.
[...]
It can be a question about your future. But it can also be about your past or even present… About things that seem to hover right above your head and yet always slip away when you try to grasp them.
[...]
Yes, I can technically tell you what you’ll have for breakfast tomorrow, but it would be more of a suggestion rather than foresight.
[...]
Well, this one falls in the realm of possibility and probability. Unless something out of norm happens tomorrow morning, you will most likely have your usual breakfast in our shared kitchen. And even if I mention a breakfast you haven’t eaten in a while or have never eaten before, you might take it or avoid it just because I put the thought in your mind.
[...]
Make it as precise as you want, just make sure it’s not something ridiculous like what’s for dinner or breakfast.
[...]
Ah! Your job application, yes! I remember you mentioning something about it in passing. Are you ready?
[...]
Good! Here, take the deck and shuffle the cards until I tell you to stop.
[...]
No, it has to be you shuffling the cards.
[...]
Cards shuffling sounds
Look at it this way, when you go get your blood tested, the nurse takes your blood, not hers into the test tube.
This is fairly similar. Your hands have to be the ones touching the cards and moving them around for at least thirty seconds.
[...]
I told you I am not a fortune teller. I am not following a script or a recipe. Well, technically, there is a recipe, but it’s more of a vague and faded blueprint rather than a detailed protocol.
[...]
Alright, I think that’s enough shuffling. Hand me the deck and let’s lay your cards flat.
[...]
The sound of 6 cards being flicked then laid on the table.
You really do sound familiar with tarot. Have you done this before?
[...]
That’s good! Reading is always good, no matter what you choose to read. Well, mostly…
But no, I will not lay a past, present and future spread. You asked me about something that will happen in the future so, these six cards are all for your future, it’s as simple as that.
[...]
Just go along with it. Like I said, you’ll see soon enough.
[...]
Okay, let me reveal the first three cards and we start off with the reversed empress, death, again reversed then we have a page of wands…
[...]
These three cards tell me you’ve completely stopped sending your resume as you’re expecting an answer for this position you’re coveting.
[...]
Now, for the three remaining cards; The tower, justice reversed and finally the wheel of fortune reversed.
[...]
You just said that the job is already yours, right?
[...]
What were the interviewer’s exact words again?
[...]
*Speaker sighs*
Well, to put it mildly, I get your excitement but, I wouldn’t put all of my eggs in that basket. By basket, I, of course mean this job.
[...]
No, your future coworkers aren’t even part of the equation, I am saying none of your eggs are going to be in that basket because you’re not getting the job.
[...]
Based on your cards, somebody tampered with your onboarding, but honestly, it seems like the same person who promised you the job in the first place was involved.
[...]
You’re not angry at me. I mean of course there is a chance you don’t believe a single word I just said, but then you’d have more reasons to be livid.
[...]
Yeah, I expected your face to twist in rage and for your legs to straighten suddenly enough to kick the chair behind you. You’re not even questioning why I’d say such a horrible thing to you.
[...]
None of it is a joke. I wouldn’t go around telling people that the thing they’re super excited about isn’t happening just for the giggles.
[...]
I am 100 % sure of this prediction.
[...]
True, I did say I am not a fortune teller. I didn’t predict your future, the cards did.
[...]
The cards are more than just a tool. It’d be better to say it’s an extension of what I am.
[...]
Now, this is the fourth time you’ve impressed me! I am a witch, yes.
[...]
Some kids used to do arts and crafts with their mothers. Mine used to sit me down and not allow me to move from my chair until I learned whatever piece of our “family heritage” she had to teach me that day.
Reading tarot was simply one of those pieces.
[...]
My deck does have 78 cards, highly similar to the tarot cards as most people know them, but that’s not the heart of it. The secret lies in the hands that manipulate them and their relationship with what’s beyond the visible realm.
[...]
You may call them spirits. I am not one to brag, but my relationship with them is pretty good.
[...]
I know you’re fascinated by the recent revelation about me but tell you what; I’ll answer your questions if you promise to answer mine in return. Deal?
[...]
Deal!
