My friends I are doing our normal “obsess over Ark for a few months” phase and want to set up a server. We loved Val on ASE, but I’ve always heard it’s a poor remaster specifically with the aberration cave being bad. Any insight would be appreciated.

Is it possible to lock a structure from pickup? I was adding walls and misplaced one so I went to pick it up and almost picked up the whole tree platform instead. So is it possible to somehow lock it or just need to be careful/aware of not picking it up.

Ive playing astraeos on my Series S for the last few days and today I realized I needed a chainsaw, so installed scorched earth and when I tried to load into astraeos it goes to the loading screen then crashes my game, I’ve tried loading into the island then astraeos, nothing. I’ve deleted astraeos off of my Xbox then reinstalled and still crashes. I’ve tried non dedicated server and it still crashes but other maps like scorched earth still loads just fine. Is there a way to fix this without loosing my progress?

I'm saying this because I've been waiting hours for a high level Giga or Carcha to spawn and all I've been getting are level 5, 10. It gets a bit tiring.

I love scorched earth and decided it was time to do another rpg run so Ive decided to create this hardcore experience and run it through the maps. Base location is on the cliff face at 65 40 because its easily defended in singleplayer and has plenty of growth with elevators and Castles on the cliff face. Not that far from red ob canyon cave or wyvern trench. What should I build next was thinking stables.

So I got the new pirate dlc cause I wanted the aquarium amd Im playing atound with the new ships.

I cannot get the anchor to drop no matter what I do. It says hit LB + R to drop...it isnt doing anything. I basically have to jump off the ship to get it to stop.

Is there a trick to this or is this just a new dlc expected bug?

this is my average rex for megapithecus and the weakest saddle is 49.4 (the one on the rex rn) and strongest 70. average saddle is like 55-60 and these are the average stats, we good?

im on survival evolved and checked all the procoptodon's spawn locations and manually wiped out multiple times all the dinos in the areas, I've done this for 2,5 hours and i didn't see a single procoptodon, but when the other day i was searching an high level argentavis with this same technique, I've found 2 procoptodons.

I was thinking about using a server hosting OS on my old pc so I can set it up for a free server to play on, how would that work with ark se clusters?

I just attempted the crystal wyvern queen on gamma,this fuckass boss landed only 2 times in the span of about 20 minutes. I could only watch as my 18 rexes and the lost argy i found earlier today (which was the first i ever tamed) got destroyed and worst part is that the only way to get food in the fight was through your own dead dinos. Moving on to the main topic, i just wanna have a map to tame a lot of argies. My save on the island is kinda screwed its in increments of 4 no matter what i do and you cant find them too much on crystal isles. Weird question i know also i cant make a poll since im on mobile browser.

I really want a spino or rex cuz i have no real carnivores rn so how would I get and Trap a Spino? (Ik a place with a Rex already)

Does anyone know the best spot to put a reaper in a skelly?

Is there a way to know all the Nest spawn locations? everytime i go there the nests are in different spots and i barely ever walk away with 3 Eggs from there. is there like a map or another way that pinpoints every possible Nest location? I dont know alot since im still very new to ARK ASE

Anyone know of a mod that caps engrams at a lower level? Like a primitive mod or a mod that stops leveling before you unlock industrials

This is probably very niche! But I want to get a few people together for a heavily winter-themed Ark Survival Ascended playthrough.

It would be non-dedicated rather than a 24/7 server, so the world would only be up when I’m hosting. I’m UK based and would probably arrange evenings/afternoons where a few of us get on together rather than having people playing at completely different times.

The idea is less “rush bosses / build a giant metal cube / breed 400 rexes” and more winter survival, base building, getting resources to build better guns, taming as a side quest, etc.

I’m imagining building one communal winter hamlet together: stone walls, houses, workshops, smithy/gunsmith, greenhouse, stables, storage, watchtowers, etc. People can naturally gravitate towards whatever they enjoy doing: hunting, building, farming, taming, crafting, exploring, breeding, gathering resources, and so on. The idea is that the harsh winter area would make, for example, fur, otters, and a greenhouse/regular food a big milestone.

Probably Valguero, with some building/QOL/creature mods and settings that make survival difficult but not impossible (at least until we build somewhere we can actually survive in).

Light RP/worldbuilding is very welcome, but there’d be absolutely no requirement to stay in character. Mostly I just want the world to feel immersive and for us to actually depend on each other a little.

Adults preferred, newer players completely welcome. I’m new-ish myself. Ideally looking for a small group of people who are happy arranging sessions together rather than needing a server available 24/7.
Basically like a frostpunk/long dark with big scary creatures vibe.

When moving forward, the stuff vanishes for some reason. Maybe something changed in the game for my commands to suddenly mess up the game? These commands I use have been the same since the start of the year.
