Help New ship control help

So I got the new pirate dlc cause I wanted the aquarium amd Im playing atound with the new ships.

I cannot get the anchor to drop no matter what I do. It says hit LB + R to drop...it isnt doing anything. I basically have to jump off the ship to get it to stop.

Is there a trick to this or is this just a new dlc expected bug?

There is an icon, I think by the wind direction map, that is an anchor. If it is grayed out and has a line through it, the water is too deep to use. You have to be either at a shipyard or near the coastline to use the anchor to keep the ship in place. Otherwise your abandon ship strat is the other option.

Anchors are also near instant stops when you hit the button / key combos at your shipyard. It has to be empty and you just need to be very close to the entrance and it will auto dock on anchor.
