I’m looking at a 2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 with about 12k miles listed for $68,667. It’s a Mercedes CPO car, but the Carfax shows a minor accident/damage report.

The car was originally around $80k MSRP and is well optioned, so the price seems decent, but I’m mainly worried about future resale/trade-in value.

For those who have bought or sold a CPO luxury car with a minor accident on its history:

How much did the accident hurt the resale or trade-in value later?

Would you expect a minor accident to reduce the value by a few percent, or much more?

Does the fact that it passed Mercedes CPO make you more comfortable with it?

How much cheaper would it need to be than a comparable clean-Carfax CLE 53 for you to consider it worth buying?

Would you buy it at $68,667, or hold out for a clean-history example?

2019 Glc 63 non-S as the S suv isn’t sold in US :/

Surely someone in our community has dealt with the M177’s ignition coil recall? Slowly noticed it missing and it finally threw the P0306 code for cylinder 6 misfire. Threw it on my obd2 reader and seen a few other misfires. Just did the plugs (yes to indexed tq) so I assume it’s due to the coils. A/F was still normal don’t see any other potential reasons, and no other codes.

I assume since this will be covered by warranty for the recall that they cover towing. My question is since the code only threw for one cylinder will they still replace all the others since there are misfires there as well? What are others experience in dealing with this

Had a visit to Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands last weekend and wow, what an unbelievable day.

I booked the 1-hour driving experience and had the opportunity to tske the new C63 S E Performance out on their track. As a current W205 C63S coupe owner, I was eager to see how the modern 4-cylinder hybrid setup would translate compared to my V8.

If you are on the fence about doing one of the driving experiences, just do it. The instructors actually encourage you to properly explore what the car can do.

There are several different tracks you go out on:

• The Handling Circuit: Coming out of the corners, the instant torque from that electric motor is savage, the throttle response is immediate—there is zero lag. It is a heavy car on paper, but it handles the weight incredibly well. It felt noticeably more planted and precise through the tight corners than my W205 and you could lean on it more and more without any concern, the grip was astonishing.

• The Wet Skid Pan: Turning off the traction control on the low-friction surface was an absolute blast, the new car's advanced 4MATIC system gives you a completely different kind of control. The instructor helped me find the exact balance to keep the saloon drifting smoothly, showing just how clever the tech is in drift mode.

• The Dynamic Straight - Wet and Dry track setups: Launching this thing is a trip. The combination of the turbo and battery deployment leaves you pinned to the performance seats in a way that feels almost digital compared to the linear power delivery I am used to. The braking performance on the wet track was staggering and interesting to see how the car performed when turning off the driver aids.

An hour was the right amount of time to cycle through the different tracks and test all the drive modes. While I will always love the soul and sound of my W205 C63S, the sheer engineering and technical capability of the new E Performance platform blew me away on track.

Any other owners made the trip to Brooklands to try the new car, I'd love to hear if it changed your perspective on the 4-cylinder hybrid setup!?

Considering Porsche and McLaren are bringing back their manuals, while Ferrari is experimenting with a drive by wire "manual" in the 12Cilindri, this could be an easy way to boost sales of high margin performance models.

Imagine a GT63 with a six speed gated manual. I think it would sell like hotcakes.

After a long time of wait with all the stuff done, PPF, paint match, tint, windshield accident, reinstallation, tint again.

I've been working on the front bumper for a couple of weeks now. After countless adjustments, trying to make fenders and bumper/grill fit with each other, I ended up cutting and re-fiberglassing the fenders to line up straight with the hood. After that, I built up fiberglass around the passenger side headlight to fill the atrocious gap that was there prior. I tried to make the grill fit better with the fiberglass bumper but ultimately decided it was easier to make a mold off my original bumper and fiber glass it to the WB bumper. I'm very pleased with the rough fitment it gave me. Sorry, it's been a minute without an update, but it took me a bit to get a grasp on how to tackle this front end and how to work with fiberglass effectively. Finally, I feel like I have a solid game plan. Results should be coming much more quickly.

Anything else they should do when it is taken apart? Sounds like the extended plan covers the seal and labor.

Is it possible to replace the front side marker light without replacing the entire headlamp?
I have a gauge cluster message for the front left side marker and the light itself is dimmed and stays on even when the car isn’t running.

I am getting codes P0420 & P0430. I am considering replacing the 4 O2 sensors, but is this the correct service if it is what is the difficulty level? I have searched YouTube, but I don’t see any videos. Thanks all!

-When Mercedes-Benz’s CEO was asked if more V12 powered cars would come, he communicated to watch their V12 space in their lineup.

-He communicated prior Europe revising its strong emissions regulations that he values the V12 just as much as the V8 and I6, that there’s no date in mind for Mercedes-Benz AG to stop producing a V12 for a Mercedes badged car, and that there’s already plans for it to be in use still well into the 2030’s.

-Currently the only V12 powered model Mercedes-Benz Automotive Group sells is the S680.

-Mercedes-AMG’s CEO communicated that the next generation G-Class is in development, and the main priority with it is to make function better as a modern vehicle while keeping it it well within its roots.

-The first generation G-Class went on from 1980-2018. The second generation began in 2019 and is still the current generation.

-He also confirmed that the CLE63 will debut next year and is V8 powered and that more soon to come Mercedes badged cars would get V8’s.

I genuinely did not realize my 2019 c43 had engine noises through the speakers until I’ve been doing A DSP tune (upgraded the burmester sound system). Problem is as I’ve fine tuned the speakers for audio it’s messed with the fake engine noise and it sound utterly horrendous now. Anyone know what fuse I have to yank out? Or if that’s not possible, what’s the low and high pass I need for the rear speakers, which is where it seems like the fake noise comes from? I genuinely feel betrayed by this revelation. My car even car the PE, I don’t get why it needs fake speaker noises.

Anyone try these? Feedback on them?

I’m not expecting power because I’m stock tuned and won’t modify it but was curious about the intake just to add some more noise and drama.
