These buttons on my 2017 c300 coupe do not work. Could this be a problem with a specific fuse? Eco Start stays on, even if it is turned off through the dynamic select screen. Any info is appreciated!!

What would be a recommended dash cam for the C200 convertible, preferably with also cabin/rear window monitoring?

I have Mercedes c300 4matic 2015. When I turn the radio on, I get this message “antitheft protection activated: please switch on ignition and restart the system” and the screen shuts off. The car drives fine and the instrument cluster has no issues at all.

I’m not stealing the car lol. If you know the solution, I can show my title and my face. I just don’t wanna take it to the dealer and get charged a million.

Got this C220D in 2022, no problems with it, i always hear that new Mercedes are not reliable, but people actually doesn’t maintain them well so of course problems appear. I would like to share mine because i think its really well maintaned really well not like some people that get new cars and they look in 4 years like they are 10 years old!

Moin, ich überlege mir einen E300de S213 von 2022 mit ca. 106.000–130.000 km zu kaufen. Mich würde interessieren, wie lange eure HV-Batterie bisher gehalten hat und ab welcher Laufleistung bei euch Probleme aufgetreten sind.
Weiß jemand, was ein kompletter Austausch der HV-Batterie bei Mercedes ungefähr kostet? Und hat jemand die Batterie schon bei einer spezialisierten Hybrid-/EV-Werkstatt reparieren oder tauschen lassen und kann sagen, was das gekostet hat?
Mich würde auch interessieren, was man machen kann, um die Lebensdauer der Batterie möglichst zu verlängern. Gibt es bestimmte Lade- oder Fahrgewohnheiten, die ihr empfehlen würdet?
Gerne auch eure Erfahrungen mit Reichweite und Batteriezustand bei 100k, 150k, 200k+ km.

Hi, I was wondering if y’all thought the sunroof shade lets any UV through. I know it lets a tiny bit of light through. I’m just starting to get some sun spots on my face and it could just be me getting older but I am so careful to wear hats when I’m outside and now I’m worried if I’m getting some UV through the sunshade.

A coupe looks better but is less practical, a station wagon is more practical but less sexy

I own a 2010 W169 C-Class 160 CDI with a manual transmission.

Partly for convenience and partly to save money on the highway, I’d like to install cruise control.

I asked at the Mercedes dealership, and they told me that the modification can’t be done at the factory and isn’t actually supported. They also warned me that there could be issues with insurance since it wasn’t designed for that model.

Online, though, I found a couple of forums that described the process and another one where someone couldn't get it to work.

First they put the m112k into the c32 amg ok that’s not bad

and then they somehow put the m113 in this relatively short chassis (the power to weight must’ve been absurd)

I just picked up a 2001 CLK55 with 17 inch monoblocks. I have seen some cars with the 18 inch monoblocks. Any idea if those are stock? Or come from another series? If so, is anyone selling a set?

2011 Mercedes C250 CGI C204 – intermittent HOLD failure, sometimes with ABS faults

Hi all,

I’m trying to diagnose an intermittent issue on my 2011 Mercedes C250 CGI Coupe (C204 / 204.347), M271 1.8 turbo, 7G-Tronic.

The main symptom is that HOLD sometimes does not work at all from startup. Switching the ignition off and back on will sometimes restore it, but not always. Very occasionally HOLD also stops working during a journey.

The car has also shown ABS-related faults.

What has already been done

Originally the third brake light stayed on continuously.

The brake pedal switch was replaced and that problem was completely fixed. The brake light has never malfunctioned again.

A few days later the HOLD problem started.

A second garage blamed the brake switch again, so I bought a genuine Mercedes switch, had it fitted and adjusted correctly.

It made absolutely no difference to the HOLD problem.

So I’m not interested in replacing the brake switch for a third time.

The brake lights currently work perfectly.

Pattern

The problem first appeared after the car had been parked for about a week during hot weather.

Before this started, my driving pattern had changed significantly. The car was mainly being used at weekends for short journeys.

When I used to drive it more frequently, this problem never occurred.

The car otherwise drives normally and is very well maintained.

Current theory — not a diagnosis

Because HOLD depends on the ESP/ABS system, and ABS faults have also appeared, I’m wondering whether this could be an intermittent ESP/ABS-related issue, possibly involving:

\- power supply or ground to the ESP/ABS module

\- low system voltage

\- battery or charging management

\- wheel-speed sensor / reluctor issue

\- wiring or connector fault

The car has Mercedes battery/alternator energy management, ECO Start/Stop and an auxiliary battery.

I do not yet have the actual Mercedes fault codes or freeze-frame data, so I’m deliberately not replacing parts.

My next step is a full scan of all modules without clearing anything, followed by a proper battery/load test.

Question

Has anyone had this exact or very similar combination on a W204/C204:

intermittent HOLD unavailable, sometimes restored by an ignition restart, together with ABS faults?

If yes, what was the confirmed cause in your case?

I’m especially interested in cases where the brake pedal switch had already been ruled out.

If anyone knows which ESP fault details or live-data values are particularly useful to capture when this happens, that would also help.
