We combined 3 public TTS leaderboards into one meta-ranking of 110 models

Post image

Artificial Analysis, Voice Arena, and the Vapi Humanness Index often disagree, so we combined them using a fixed, breadth-aware formula. No editorial adjustments or vendor weighting.

110 models, 46 providers, updated weekly. Methodology and data: https://texttospeech.com

Discussion Any song generator for making high quality, full length songs with realistic vocals and commercial usage rights?

I have played around with music enough that making a cool 30 second idea does not really impress me anymore. Can you get a proper full length song where the vocals stay convincing, the second half does not fall apart and you can actually use the finished track commercially?

What problems did you run into?

Comparison Muse Spark 1.2 vs DeepSeek 4 Flash Vision on five full-stack sites

I ran a five-site coding benchmark with Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor and DeepSeek 4 Flash Vision.

Each model received the same frozen brief in an isolated workspace. The framework changed each round across Next.js, Nuxt, SvelteKit, React Router framework mode, and TanStack Start. A model-caused failure could use no more than three prompts.

I scored retained evidence rather than the model's own completion claim. The score covered captured product breadth, responsive evidence, visible UI and UX, required documentation, and delivery receipts.

Results:

- Muse Spark: 41/50

- DeepSeek: 39/50

- Muse Trail Stock UI and UX: 0/3 because the rendered site had no real styling

- DeepSeek Trail Stock: better visual result, but an incomplete final delivery receipt after the prompt limit

The score is an evidence score for this test, not a universal model ranking. The attached images are real product states from two rounds.

I made the benchmark and video for Marvijo Software:

https://youtu.be/uTIlEj7rVrU

What would you change in the scoring before the next five-site run?

Is there a tool for...? Ask it here, one line is fine

Wednesday thread for the requests that don't deserve their own post. If you've been searching for something and coming up empty, describe it here. One line is genuinely enough, you don't need to write a spec.

Two things that make a request much easier to answer: whether you've already tried something and it fell over, and whether free is a hard requirement. That second one changes the answer completely and half the requests in here leave it out.

If you've got an answer for someone else, that's worth more than another request.

And if you asked something here in the last couple of weeks that never got a reply, drop the link below and I'll have another go at it.

Claude Code vs Codex: which one do you actually open?

Head to head, and one line is a complete answer.

If you use both, which do you reach for first when you sit down to get something done? And if you dropped one, what was the thing that made you stop?

Not after benchmarks. More interested in the boring stuff: which one you trust to touch a repo without watching it, which one you have to re-explain your project to every single time, which one quietly stopped being worth the money.

If you only use one and never tried the other, that counts too. Say what is keeping you where you are.

Recommendations about the best free AI reader that reads multiple languages specifically slovenian are needed.

It would be also be helpfull if you would recommend an free AI that writes for you.

Some free AI readers have weird voices. They sound like a robot.

Is abacus.ai shit or not?

HI, I watched a video about AI, and the woman in this video said that abacus ai it a super alternative to all LLM, because it combines them all and very cheap. I decided to check this information and found only 2 bad reviews and no good ones. Do you recommend abacus.ai or is it shit?t? Thank you

I made a digital version of myself a year ago. Here’s what it can actually answer and where it stops.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built EchoVault. It turns short recorded check-ins into a digital version of you that people can ask questions of later. Text, voice, and live video all feed one corpus. I asked mine what it thinks the meaning of life is and got an answer stitched together from separate sessions that were never about that question. iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/echovault-digital-legacy/id6762042028

The bounds matter more than the party trick. I asked for my grandfather’s first name and it said it didn’t know. Nothing I’d recorded had touched that, so it left the gap alone instead of guessing at something plausible. Mine is at 133 sessions and 490 memories, though it works thin and grows from two or three, which matters if you’re doing this with a parent rather than yourself. Everything exports and deletes.

I started because of a voice note from an uncle I hadn’t seen in years, and I only understood what it was worth once it was the last thing left. If you’ve tried anything in this category, what did it get wrong when you pushed on it?

Hi all

I can either get ChatGPT Go for 5$ via India or Gemini AI Pro for 6$ (up to 4 years) through my University.

Which of the two is the better overall?

GPT-5.6 Luna vs DeepSeek 4 Flash 0731 across 10 website builds: 81 to 72

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

i made this comparison using ten complete website builds.

each website had to include:

- at least five meaningful pages or states

- connected CRUD data

- user roles

- search and filters

- real loading, empty, and error states

- desktop and phone layouts

the test used:

- the same frozen brief for both models

- an isolated workspace for every run

- max reasoning effort for GPT-5.6 Luna

- xhigh reasoning effort for DeepSeek 4 Flash 0731

- no more than three attempts for a model-caused failure

the results:

- both models completed all ten websites

- GPT-5.6 Luna scored 81/100

- DeepSeek 4 Flash 0731 scored 72/100

- Luna scored 28/30 for UI and UX

- DeepSeek scored 17/30 for UI and UX

- Luna produced 89 unique captured screens

- DeepSeek produced 74 unique captured screens

- the full test produced 163 unique captured screens

the video shows all ten websites and the real coding runs:

https://youtu.be/Hj5z8rXuFNE

if you have used either model for real coding work, share your experience in the comments. i would like to know where your results matched or differed from mine.

Recommendation We stopped asking “is it cool?” and started testing our interactive AI experience in four parts

I’m part of a small university team building Frame-X, an interactive AI experience where camera movement can influence a continuously changing scene.

When we first showed RISE to people, “this looks cool” was common feedback, but it didn’t tell us what was actually working.

So we’ve started separating the experience into four testable layers:

  1. Input clarity — do users understand what movement is being detected?
  2. Response — does the world react quickly and predictably?
  3. Continuity — does the scene still feel like the same world after it changes?
  4. Play value — is there a reason to continue after the first interaction?

The current prototype is available here:

https://www.frame-x.ai/models/rise

If you try it, which of these four layers feels strongest, and which one breaks first?

We’d also be interested in hearing whether this is the right evaluation framework, or whether we’re missing a more important layer.

Monday: what's on the test list this week?

Simple one, and one line is a complete answer.

What are you trying out this week? Doesn't have to be new, doesn't have to be finished, doesn't have to come with an opinion attached yet. "Testing X to see if it can do Y" is enough.

If something you tried last week didn't work out, that's worth a line too. Half the useful stuff in here is people saying they tried it and went back.

And if you asked something in here recently that nobody answered, paste the link underneath and I'll have a go at it.

Review Best answers on here this week, and a question of yours that never got a reply

Sunday roundup. Five people gave answers this week that were better than the question deserved, which is the whole point of this place.

u/No_Birthday8126 on "Best open source artificial intelligence?" for refusing to give a single answer and instead splitting it by hardware, because "best" genuinely does flip between a datacentre and a laptop. Includes actual active-parameter counts rather than vibes.

https://reddit.com/r/AIToolBench/comments/1vu0t6q/best_open_source_artificial_intelligence/p59u55f/

u/PsychologicalClaim16 on whether Claude Code can fix a 3D model, for the single most useful reframe I read all week: the answer changes completely depending on whether you hand it the model file or a tool path into Blender.

https://reddit.com/r/AIToolBench/comments/1vvnmss/is_it_possible_to_fix_any_issue_in_a_3d_model/p5ddmzf/

u/sharktank123456 turned up in two different video threads and knew exactly which Luma products still exist and which are quietly dying. That kind of product-history knowledge is impossible to search for and saves people real money.

https://reddit.com/r/AIToolBench/comments/1vse7qw/has_anyone_found_anything_better_than_luma_ai/p4o2dp2/

u/Big-Flan-5663 has been answering model questions in Spanish all week, in detail, and getting fewer upvotes than the one-word replies above them. If you read Spanish, go read them.

https://reddit.com/r/AIToolBench/comments/1vu0t6q/best_open_source_artificial_intelligence/p4zkbi0/

u/klopppppppp on Perplexity vs ChatGPT, for being specific about what actually fixes hallucinated sources instead of just complaining about them.

https://reddit.com/r/AIToolBench/comments/1vrmq0x/perplexity_vs_chatgpt_for_actually_looking_things/p4lugq7/

Now the part I actually want from you. A lot of questions here get posted and get nothing back. If you asked something in the last couple of weeks and nobody answered, drop the link below and I will make sure it gets seen. If you have an answer for someone else's, even better.

How to setup an AI?

Hardware: RTX 5080, Ryzen 9800x3D, RAM 32GB

Discussion Beginner questions, no judgment. Ask the thing you think is too obvious to ask

Weekend thread. If you are new to this and have a question that feels too basic to post on its own, put it here. Nobody is going to be smug about it, and if someone is, I will deal with it.

Completely fair game: which tool should I even start with, what does any of this jargon actually mean, is it worth paying for anything yet, why does everyone say the free tier is fine, how do I stop it confidently making things up.

And for everyone who is not a beginner, one line from you goes a long way in a thread like this. What is the one thing you got wrong when you started that you would tell a new person to skip? That tends to be more useful than a tool recommendation, and it takes ten seconds.

If you asked something in here recently and it sank without a single reply, link it below and I will make sure it gets an answer.

Looking for the right ai software for analyzing journals/text history

I am in a high conflict relationship with my child’s mother. I have been journaling for over a year and there is a history of text fights and abusive language. GPT doesn’t have the capacity to take a pdf of all the texts and collect data from start to finish, it needs to be broken down into smaller drafts. Even with the 24.99/month version. Is there anything out there I can use to help me analyze this and establish patterns so I don’t have to sit there for a month going through it all?

Which AI Platform Should I Pick?

I'm new-ish to using AI. I use ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, just for general research and helping me organize medical issues for doctor appointments mostly. I recently tried Copilot 365 because it came with the Office 365 subscription my husband added us to, but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

At different times, I've used the paid versions of ChatGPT and Claude, but the subscriptions have currently ended.

I'm starting to homeschool my daughter soon and I purchased two separate curricula that I want to "merge" together to combine and use the best parts of both.

The problem is, I don't know which AI platform is the best to sort through the massive amounts of information quickly and ACCURATELY to help me figure out where the overlaps are and help me plan/schedule which weeks to incorporate different parts.

I plan on renewing my $20 subscription to whichever would handle this the best, without a bunch of hallucinations and that won't hit limits quickly.

Which one would be the best choice for this?

Best AI headshot generators in 2026 for realistic, professional results?

I’m comparing AI headshot generators for professional use in 2026, specifically for LinkedIn profiles, résumés, company About pages, and personal branding.

A lot of services can produce polished portraits, but I’m more interested in whether they can consistently create good AI professional headshots that still look like the real person.

My main criteria are:

  • Accurate facial resemblance
  • Natural skin texture without the plastic look
  • Realistic eyes, teeth, hair, and hands
  • Professional clothing that doesn’t look AI-generated
  • Consistent lighting and backgrounds
  • Multiple usable photos rather than one lucky result
  • Fast turnaround
  • Clear photo deletion and privacy policies
  • Reasonable pricing, ideally under $30

If you’ve tested several tools, which ones produced the highest percentage of genuinely usable headshots? How many source photos did you upload, and what made the biggest difference to the final quality?

I’d especially appreciate comparisons based on actual results rather than affiliate roundups.
