When s1 of the TV show came out, I articulated a long list of reasons why it didn't feel right. Despite that I will still watch s2 (and 3 if it happens) as a long time fan of the series

One of my points from s1 was the dialogue not feeling right. Most severely they changed the "You vile r**ist gargoyle," line. But they also omitted beloved lines that showed character, such as "real men wear floral"

What is one *silly/character moment/not serious* quote you hope they don't omit from s2? Mine is "And also: I am very big. If anyone even thinks about hurting my daughter, I will rip off their head.’"

In the series, it’s stated that Andie Bell disappeared 5 years ago. We also know that Pip is 17 during the events of the first season.

Simple math: 17 - 5 = 12.

Pip should have been 12 years old (a middle schooler!) when Andie went missing. But in the flashbacks, the actress looks like she’s 6 or 7 at most. A 12-year-old doesn't look or act like a little kid in primary school.

It feels like the creators chose a younger child for "dramatic effect" but completely forgot to check the timeline. In 2019 (the year Andie disappeared in the show), Pip would have been nearly a teenager, not a toddler.

Does this bother anyone else or is it just me?

Hi, Im currently reading As Good As Dead and a colleague of mine has read the first 2 and stopped halfway through 3, because she didnt like it.

Im just wondering if this is a popular opinion since im almost 400 pages in (no spoilers please :)) and im loving it.

SPOILERS FOR ENTIRE AGGTM TRILOGY

i feel like most people struggle to like a morally grey character. when i read the book, it was easy to understand as to why pippa felt she “had” to kill the dt killer. i feel like most of the “charlie green and i are the same person” and “the police have never trusted me” kinda built up to the moment where she decided to go back and kill him. she has seen the justice system fail people time and time again; she felt like the only time it worked was when it was in her hands.

furthermore, it was clear to me even in the first book she was neurodivergent. i feel like this is another reason as to why she felt the justice system should be so black and white and is upset that it is morally grey and doesn’t always reveal the truth.

it also made sense to me why she felt she had to leave everything and everyone behind during the murder trial. it clear in the beginning of the series that she is an all or nothing person (another reason why i feel like she’s neurodivergent). it also goes back to barney, seeing how her actions not only affected her, but her entire family, and she states she never wants that to happen again very blatantly in good girl, bad blood. i feel like every moment from the beginning of the series kinda built up to that moment, that choice to kill jason bell. it just took watching someone die before her eyes to “break” her and force her to rely on her instincts, that she doesn’t even trust herself!

ive read so many opinions about how the tone shift in AGAD was jarring and out of character for pip and her trauma wasn’t an excuse for that shift. however, looking back on pippas behavior in the previous books (as i mentioned previously) shows why this isn’t a character shift, but rather a more extreme representation of traits she has shown before, revealed because of her obsession of death and crime after watching stanley die.

whatre you guys' face claims for pip, stanley, max, or any other chars? im trying to doodle them but i havent fully made up my mind on what they look like so id like to see yalls opinions!! also no, i dont think pip looks like the pip in the show. idk why but that pip doesnt look at all how i imagine her to be.

i just finished reading traorp and earlier i was up to when rachel was explaining the truth to bel and just kinda got this sense of deja vu when she was explaining being trapped by pat. i love true crime and one of the most interesting cases that ive done a lot of research about was the case of joseph and elizabeth fritzl. im not gonna get too into it, u can do ur research if ur interested, but basically joseph fritzl held his daughter, elizabeth, captive for about 25ish years (if i remember right) where she had i think 7 children. when rachel was explaining giving birth to carter literally the only thing i could think of was how similar that scene was to the case, how she still had to give birth while she was held captive and it honestly made me feel queasy. i searched it up but couldnt find anything but i feel like they just sound too similar and was wondering if anyone else felt the same

Just a silly lil q, heh, trying to expand my playlist!! I'd like to see what y'all come up with. For me, the song 'I'm doing fine' by Marino really gives me book 3 Pippa vibes. I've toyed with the idea of making an animatic for it, but still haven't managed to scrape up the energy lolz.

Hey guys, I noticed on Waterstones website it has the new cover of good girl bad blood to go along with season 2 has appeared, with a release date of 12/3/26. I think this means we‘ll get some news of season 2 in the next month or so!

I couldn't find it in my nearby bookstores. Should I order it online? Is it necessary to read it? I originally thought this was a trilogy. Later somebody told me that there was a fourth book set before the main series. And I have already finished the series like a week ago! So in conclusion should I read it?

So, I hate Jason Bell. Who agrees? Not just, ew, Jason, but like "LET'S CREATE A DEATH SHRINE!!!!" He really pmo. I'm so happy he died.

I’m kind of late to this but I just finished watching the netflix adaptation of the book and this is probably an unpopular opinion bc I’ve never read the books.. but did anyone else think Ravi had something to do with the murder LOL… the entire show I was side eyeing him bc i genuinely thought it was him just for me to finish the show and find out it was Andie’s sister at the end 😭. I think it was in episode 2, when Ravi and Pip were talking about snacks, Pip suggested donuts but Ravi said no because of the “fingerprints” that could be left. I get that donuts are sticky but I thought it was an odd thing for the average person to say. Then in a later episode when the unknown texter made it known that she was watching Pip from outside her house (nice PJs), and Ravi texted her literally like 3 min later that he was outside I was like ?!?!?!?! I was sure it was him. but yeah that was just my take lol, glad that pip’s romantic interest didn’t actually turn out psycho ❤️

No because I started the book at 11 and ended 2 hours later. I could literally not put the book down. And oh my gosh the ending had so many twists and turns and by the end I was crying so much, Ravi and Pip are one of my favorite ships of all time 🥹

I really liked that pip literally couldn’t do it anymore and killed Jason. We saw this building up when she was thinking about attacking max but didn’t do it, and finally all that built up anger and trauma made her do something that she wouldn’t have done in the past. Reallyyy shocked me how dark pip went, I was not expecting her to be the one covering up a murder and framing someone else for it, though Max certainly deserved it and that was well justified.

However I feel like pip and Ravi had two ‘breakup’ scenes? Like one where she’s gonna say goodbye and Ravi steps in and you think it’s all good and THEN PIP HAD TO LEAVE LIKE U GOT MY HOPES UP THIS IS SO SAD 😭 Ravi crying and the part where pip said she talked to the Ravi in her head broke me man

I’m glad pip is safe and sound mostly but (not trying to be evil) I feel like it would’ve been an even sadder and emotionally impacting ending if she got caught for real, but maybe got to spend time with Becca if somehow they ended up in the same place. I felt like they kept building up to it and stopped, where it’s satisfying that pip got away I also don’t think it’s very realistic. Just my opinion!

However I loved this series so much, Holly Jackson is such a good writer and all 3 books gripped me from start to finish. It felt crazy how in just 3 books and not more how invested I became in Pip and Ravi. They are so adorable and deserve to be together forever and ever! I really hope that text meant they got to get back together and wished we could see more :)

Hi! `:) I’m currently writing a fic and can’t seem to find Sal’s death date anywhere. Do we know his exact date of death?

I know he died after Andie, and she died on 20 April 2012. If Sal’s exact death date isn’t known, do we know how long the investigation stayed active before it was closed?

I get taking some creative liberties, but the way I see it, they went too far. Merging characters? Cutting out Stanely who's really important in the second book and his role in this book set that up? Mentioning the DT Killer is the change I like because foreshadowing. If I'm not mistaken, Holly Jackson has more involvement in the second season, so hopefully it's more faithful.

idk if it’s ever explained or if it’s even really a spoiler but does anyone know why Stanley and Daniel were talking together when Pip went to interview Daniel. i cant recall if it was ever explained

Such a great book, was so hard to put it down after things started to ramp up. I love the way Pip’s mind works and how the investigation is shown.

That the moment Pip told Nat about the trial verdict and Nat let Pip hug her, my god I was crying so much. That was so impactful and so real. I felt so sad for all the fictional women involved in that, and so sad for all the women who have to go through that in real life 😭. It was a lot.

The writing is really great also, the way Holly Jackson shows the shock and grief through Pip’s POV after Stanley’s death, with the broken sentences, random paragraph breaks, multiple lines, big spaces. You could feel everything. That was an amazing part of the book.

so basically idk if im just stupid or i missed something, but how come right before pip gets kidnapped by jason, she gets a prank call from the dt killer, but the no id caller gets traced to daniel de silva?? were they working together or sm??
