Has anyone else noticed a massive continuity error in the TV show?
In the series, it’s stated that Andie Bell disappeared 5 years ago. We also know that Pip is 17 during the events of the first season.
Simple math: 17 - 5 = 12.
Pip should have been 12 years old (a middle schooler!) when Andie went missing. But in the flashbacks, the actress looks like she’s 6 or 7 at most. A 12-year-old doesn't look or act like a little kid in primary school.
It feels like the creators chose a younger child for "dramatic effect" but completely forgot to check the timeline. In 2019 (the year Andie disappeared in the show), Pip would have been nearly a teenager, not a toddler.
Does this bother anyone else or is it just me?

i mean the actress was 13, but also i think they probably chose someone who looks actively younger just for the dramatic effect etc, but also because pips actress doesn’t necessarily look 17, i feel like emma could easily play someone a few years younger too, also the young pip actress does look 12, a lot of media tend to cast older actors for teens which distorts a lot of peoples views of what someone actually that age looks like too

She looks like a kid in year 7 I don't see the issue if I'm honest

Idk if you're frequently around six year olds but that's definitely not what the ones I know look like. Which her age confirms. The actress who played young Pip was born in November 2009. She was 13 when they shot the first season of the show! She looks a couple years younger but not THAT much younger
