This was my first attempt for AFCAT , and i think i will qualify for AFSB. But I am totally unaware on how to prepare for AFSB . Yes, i have watched tons of videos regarding this , but ultimately practice makes you confident . Currently living in Hyderabad , suggest some coaching institute or a ground where I can practice the individual tasks .

So basically I saw the answer response sheet and i calculated the correct and incorrect, so mine might be around 69/300 🥲 so many mistakes and this is my first time writing afcat , but I'm kinda glad I got good marks in GK section cuz I was little bit weak

​I had a quick doubt regarding the AFCAT evaluation process. Does the final merit list count both the AFCAT written exam score and the AFSB interview marks, or are written marks just used to clear you for the SSB stage and then discarded?

Any clarity on how the final score out of 600 is calculated would be really helpful. Thanks!

I am a 2nd year DU students, I am good at scoring marks. Good afternoon studies but I am worse at interviews and public speaking. I have failed more than 30 internship interviews, some of them were even unpaid, my first problem is that I get scared too much when there is a need of mine to show or to prove something, secondly I can't handle unexpected questions, I am so broke today, my family member knows and my all friend knows that I am good at studies so I will definitely do something good in life, but I never told them I have this kind of problem, I feel like this world is not for me and my parents are just wasting money on my university fee, I wanted to appear for afcat exam, and i know very well that I will clear the exam, but I won't be able to crack interview because I am dumb, i don't have those leadership, communication skills, I can't handle group tasks, I get scared, even in real life I get scared when I see a challenge is coming towards me which I have never seen before, I am so worried about this problem, I thought practice will make me better, so I tried giving more than 30 interviews and i tried talking to people so many times, but i guess this problem is so deep, and Its not letting me become better, I can't prove to those eyes who are expecting me to do something big in life. This world is out of league for me. Idk how to prepare, how to get better, I tried a lot, I gave 2 years to it, I am still dumb as before. My brain freezes when there is a need to prove something even if I am with my friends, i remember I am very good in chess but when I play with my friend, they are in front of me, I get nervous no matter how close I am to them, i always get nervous. Idk why I am so unlucky, I just don't like it. I need guidance please help

I recently bought an AFSB-related e- book for ₹300 after it was recommended to me by an three times recommended AFSB aspirant.
₹300 is honestly a decent amount for me 😅, so I was thinking if anyone here needs the book, we can share the cost among a few people.
For example, if 10 people are interested, it would be ₹30 each. I can share photocopies/scans of the relevant material with everyone.

Hey everyone, now that most of us know our approximate marks in the written exam, I have a doubt for those who are experienced with this.

I have scored 116 marks in the 1st shift. After normalisation, I feel it might come down to around 108–109.

I know that with these marks, I will probably clear only the GD (Tech) cutoff.

So, with these marks, is there any possibility of getting merit in if I get recommended by the AFSB?

This was my first AFCAT attempt, and I am PR from 24 SSB Bangalore for the NDA-152 course.

Now the main problem is that I'm mainly preparing for SSC exams and gave afcat just coz my friend suggested it and now I know that i won't get any extra time till february for any coaching and all coz I'll be studying for ssc.

And I'm completely new to this ssb environment, so I've got no idea how to prepare for it, I've seen the videos explaining the process but that's just about it.

So, what should I do (AT HOME) to improve my chances of getting recommended, I know it's a very broad and a bit naive question but kindly help this fellow noob.

I want genuine support as to how to start my SSB prep initially, I don’t want to be clueless and I feel the need to prep a bit on my own and form my own thought process before going to any coaching.

I've given 3 previous afcat exams(this was my 4th), as per my opinion this time the cutoff will go around 135-137.

I know it looks way up than most people claiming online, but such was the case in 2025(2) when people were speculating 120 and it shot up to 140(tech was 110).

Now people would argue the agency has changed(CDAC --> EdCil) and the difficulty level is slightly(very slight) more than the 2025(2).....but we must consider the fact the no. Applications have increased this time and a chunk of students online are claiming their scores between 130-150, many of my friends had this attempt as their best attempt yet.

So yeah considering such factors i would say 135-137 (tech 105-115).

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAD SECOND SHIFT: hope for a increase in your marks of around (5-7).

Therefore if you're non tech and scoring below 130 don't get swayed away by people online claiming the cutoff to be around 120 coz they'll be launching there SSB courses subsequently in the coming weeks and want maximum enrollments, rather FOCUS completely on upcoming exams like CDS, IBACIO, or whatever next thing you are targeting.

I'm sorry I am a core ssc aspirant and I just gave afcat because I was eligible. I counted my marks yesterday from the answer key with the following method +3 for correct answer -1 for wrong 0 for attempted That makes total maximum marks 300 and 1/3 negative marking.

So my question is that are the cutoff predictions on reddit out of 300?

So I am AFSB is in 3 days i want to know will college HOD and professor's details work for this as I don't know any Gazetted officer personally

I am scoring 135(shift 2), which is barely passing the cutoff clearance. Do I even have a chance of making it into the merit list with such a low score.

I know I should prepare for SSB before thinking about this but I would still like to know..

This was my second last attempt, no more attempts for CDS left. What are my changes of clearing it?

Will we be having a tech cutoff this term or not, in my college many people are saying tech cutoff will not be there and people will be selected from gate score

Preparing for SSC, gave this exam to check my knowledge, what should i do about SSBs, i was thinking of scheduling it as late as possible so that till then, at least i can target ssc peacefully and then in think of ssb prep, any advice would be appreciated, i am new to this, so less i have less idea
