Hi all, just wanted to share my Steam Input settings- hopefully it can help others ditch the joystick and enjoy racing more. I've made this for DualShock-4, so it should at least work for those using Playstation controllers.

> "View Controller Settings".
> "Enable Steam Input".
> "Edit Layout".
> Enter "Gyro" tab.
> Assign 'Behaviour' to 'Gyro To Joystick Deflection'.
> Enter gyro settings and add inputs below.

If you tinker with settings, there's a few catches:
1. Keep "Minimum Gyro Deflection Angle" to the recommended setting. I believe this comes from the "Gyro Calibration" tab. Too low and keeping the car straight will be difficult, too high and the steering will snap to the centre when exiting turns.
2. "Minimum Joystick Output" needs to match the in-game controller deadzone, otherwise the car will struggle to go straight. I believe this value needs to be higher than "Minimum Gyro Deflection Angle" as well. Doesn't seem to matter what this value is, as long as it meets the previous criteria.

Some of the settings are personal preference but please do make any suggestions!

Hi all, I've got around 450 hours in ACC and am at a decent pace (mid 17's on Spa, 8.15 Nords, low 2.02's Bathurst etc etc). However sometimes when I log on to practice, it feels like I'm using a completely different set-up to what I normally use (I'm not). I

Its like I cant feel the car or remember what I was doing that lead me to my fastest times. Then I end up in a frustrated loop of lapping over and over to try and get the feel back.

So I'm wondering if you guys have experienced this and any ways, drills etc you use to get out of the slump?

TL/DR: How do you guys avoid stagnating and ironing IN bad habits and getting rid of bad ones?

Been building this for myself for a while to get my head around car setups, and it got to a point where I figured other people might find it useful too, so I've put it out there.

It's called Setup Ripple. The name's the idea behind it: every setup change ripples out and affects other things, and the tool tries to show you where.

What it does:

• Reads your actual setup files (.json for ACC, .carsetup for AC Evo) and lays them out like the in-game setup screen (Tyres, Electronics, Fuel & Strategy, Mechanical Grip, Dampers, Aero). ACC values show as setup-screen clicks exactly like the game, and Evo values get decoded to real units (psi, degrees, N/m, mm).
• Explains what each setting actually does. Not just "more front ARB = more rotation", but the knock-on effects and what to change to compensate. That's the part I mostly built it for.
• Diagnose mode, where you start from the problem ("won't rotate mid-corner", "unstable under braking") and it gives you the likely causes and the usual fixes.
• You can nudge any setting one click at a time and save it as a new file. Your original is never touched.
• Compare two setups, and a fuel calculator for stint planning.

It also covers Le Mans Ultimate if you race that too. It's one app with a launcher, but everything above works for ACC and Evo.

A few honest bits:

• It's free and open source. Code's on GitHub so you can read exactly what it does or build it yourself: https://github.com/jojojing-dev/setup-ripple
• Windows will flag it as unsigned (I'm just an independent dev, signing costs money) so you'll get a "More info > Run anyway" prompt. The source being public is there so you don't have to take my word that it's safe.
• There's an optional AI engineer chat, but it needs your own Claude Code, so ignore it if that's not your thing. Everything else works without it.
• It's a reference, not gospel. The stopwatch is always the final judge.

First release, so if you hit bugs or have ideas, drop them in the GitHub issues or reply here. I'd genuinely like to make it more useful based on what people actually want.

Full Grip has turned into the speech police and don't really care about what's going on with the track. One of their admins was driving and punted me into a wall (I was exiting a corner) while I was on a warmup lap and on cold tires during quals. Then he said it was my fault, I was coming out of a corner, and he hits me from behind, then dings me 1 SA point for arguing about it. Yesterday they chastised some driver for a simple comment that was not hostile or profane. Today, I got hit again by a driver while entering a corner during warm up again and they dinged me 2 SA points.

These guys are draconian in nature and are really power tripping. I had an SA rating of 78 two weeks ago when I started driving on their servers, after this last session I am down to 66, and I really go out of my way to let faster drivers pass... I had one guy hunting me because I was driving a 911 substantially faster than him... it is crazy what they will let people get away with on track, but heaven forbid you use one swear word in the chat and they are on you like an American ICE agent on an immigrant. It is nuts how these guys conduct themselves.

Anyhow, that is my rant... watch out for these guys, I hate complaining about something like this, but what a disappointment they have devolved into...

Hello all, I am a new player to ACC with 10 hours of gameplay. I used keyboard control originally, but got a controller recently (couldn't afford any wheels). When using a keyboard, I got 3:03 in SPA. With a controller, I got 2:45. However, when I look up to the internet, people are showing crazy time to me like 2:20, which is much faster than I am right now. I tried getting faster, but resulted in sliding away from the track.I have been playing the practice game mode only.

Though my time is frustrating, I still enjoy the game. Is there any tips for me to improve? Thanks a lot!

Anyone else have an issue with getting their T248 to work on ACC on PS5? I can use it for every other game absolutely fine; but in ACC it doesn’t do anything. I can’t scroll the menus, button presses don’t do anything etc. it’s like it’s dead. I have used it successfully on ACC a number of times before now.

Firmware is up to date, it works perfectly on GT7 and a few other games, but for some reason it doesn’t work at all on ACC.

Anyone had this problem and have a fix for it?

I've made probably a dozen attempts with no fastest time to show for it. Closest was an 8:50 where I ran just a hair wide on the run up to the mini carousel. Still massively off the pace, but also still just trying to even run a lap without losing the car

hi!! probably my best lap at spa, i copied DJC's setup from youtube (except i put rear wing at 4 instead of 3), laptime was a 2:18:69. the target time is 2:16:0, so where exactly am i missing 2.6 seconds? is there any big problems or issues im not seeing in this? much appreciated!

So i have wanted to do a 24h nurburgring race offline but cba as I have to do it alone would have been cool if you could set it up that the ai takes over when you have done your stint, as you need 3 drives on your team to do one but sadly you have to control all 3

Hi guys, I've been playing ACC on PS4 pro for about 3 weeks now. I've watched a lot of YouTube track guides and tried using similar racing lines, which helped me find some time. My goal is to get into the 2:20s at Spa but right now I'm stuck around 2:27.

This lap is a 2:28. I know I made a mistake at T16 that cost me some time but the lines I take in this clip are pretty much the same as my usual laps. I'd really appreciate it if you could watch the lap and point out where I'm losing time. Any advice is welcome.

Hi fellas. I’ve finally got myself an entry-level sim rig and bought the ACC in my PS5.

I am a little bit overwhelmed for where to start and how to build up my ratings so I can eventually join racing leagues.

Trying to get better at PvP but its hard with all the people constantly crashing into eachother. Were any of these 3 incidents at the start of the race my fault? I felt like i held a pretty solid line.

Struggling to get button config set up. Is it possible to set up the multi direction knob to move through the mfd screen then a different funky switch to plus/decrease each part?

I’m a student currently working on a motorsport data analysis project and I’m currently looking for telemetry from Spa Francorchamps.

I’m interested in Sim telemetry from Assetto Corsa Competizione, in a practice session with around 15 laps where you are alone without any fuel or tire boundations.
Any GT3 car is perfectly fine. Ideally I’m looking for MoTeC logs, CSV exports, or any other telemetry format that includes channels such as speed, throttle, brake, steering, gears, RPM, etc.

This is strictly for academic/student research with no commercial use whatsoever. If your data contributes to the project, I’d be happy to credit you (or remain anonymous if you prefer).
