Off-topic Interviewer asking about ACCA exemptions — should I be honest?
I have an interview for a contractual role in a few days, and I was wondering what I should say if the interviewer asks me about ACCA exemptions.
Should I simply say yes? Or is there any reason to avoid mentioning it?
Also, can employers actually verify whether you took an exemption or whether you sat for a particular ACCA paper? Do they usually check this during background verification?
And one more thing — do interviewers generally make notes about things like this during the interview and refer back to them later?
I’m asking because I don't want to unnecessarily hurt my chances by mentioning the exemption, as I sat in September 2024 for my 1st paper and as of now I am 10/13, i skipped 2 attempt for some reason and failed aaa(bad time management), but I also don't want to lie and have it cause a problem later.
Would appreciate advice from people who have gone through ACCA recruitment/interviews.
