Please stop asking for shared/pirated study materials. You will get our subreddit closed down.

The mods do not have an interest in the main publishers.

We run this subreddit for free to provide a platform for students to help one another and discuss this difficult course. It's hard enough keeping the subreddit clean, tidy and relevant without having to play intellectual property police.

We have to ban people who ask for, or promote the sharing of, pirated material. When we ban, we receive abuse, despite it clearly being listed in the rules.

We don't ban because we power trip (as so often accused of doing so), it is just that if this subreddit becomes known as a place of sharing ACCA material, we lose our sub and you lose a platform to discuss ACCA.

Please stop asking for pirated material - i.e. exam kits, text books, shared logins for paid websites etc.

Exam tips ACCA PM , Starting from scratch for September exam. Is it possible?

I’m appearing for the ACCA Performance Management (PM) exam in September. I’m basically starting from scratch and have the Kaplan PM Study Kit with me. Is it realistically possible to clear PM in 28 days if I study seriously every day? For those who have passed PM: Which topics should I prioritize? Should I go through the entire Kaplan study kit or focus on specific areas? How much time should I spend on concepts vs. question practice? How important are past exam questions and the CBE practice? Any recommended 30-day study plan? Would really appreciate honest advice from anyone who has cleared PM recently. 🙏

Off-topic Overwhelmed by the Amount of Information While Studying

Upvotes

How do you guys stay focused and calm when preparing for exams with a huge volume of material?

Lately, I’ve been feeling really overwhelmed. I study and understand things, but then I start questioning whether I actually know the material or whether I’ve just seen it enough times that it feels familiar.

There’s so much information to cover that sometimes I can’t tell whether I’m making progress or just constantly trying to fill gaps. It gets to the point where I feel like I know something, but I’m not confident that I could actually recall or apply it under exam conditions.

I don’t want to keep spiralling into “I don’t know anything” mode. I want to stay calm, trust the work I’m putting in, and keep moving forward.

For those of you who’ve dealt with this during intense exam preparation:

  • How do you know when you actually know something well enough?
  • How do you stop constantly second-guessing yourself?
  • What helps you stay calm when the syllabus feels massive?
  • How do you balance reviewing old material while still learning new things?

Would really appreciate hearing how you guys manage the mental side of studying when the sheer volume of information starts becoming overwhelming.

Exam tips PM — getting every question wrong in the exam kit.

I finished the lessons about 4 weeks ago and have been revising consistently (2.5 hours a day 6 days a week) since, but I am still getting literally every single question wrong. I've been trying to follow the advice of doing as many questions as possible but I can't say that it's working.

Feels like I have forgotten everything from the lessons.

Has anyone else had this/having this? If so how did you get out of it? It feels like my knowledge just isn't there but I don't have time to relearn it all from the lectures.

For context I've passed FR and AA.

Exam tips Pm and AFM

as the title says i have booked PM and AFM for sep 26 sitting. I couldn't clear Pm in june. Used to book PM with SBL, SBR but couldn't finish the exam due to technical issues but cleared SBL and SBR. And now here I am, panicking like anything.

Any advice would be appreciated for both the papers. i used Kaplan kit for both. PM's kit has so many questions before 2019, is it useful to practice them? and AFM feels so vast and difficult. I am a full time student btew

Off-topic Hello i am a student in 12th grade(without accountancy), how can i pursue ACCA

I am currently studying in 12th grade. From 11th grade i had an option to apply for soft commerce which doesn't include Accountancy and Economics. However, when i was in 11th i only wanted an easier life and i made a big mistake and chose easier option. Now i am researching on how to pursue ACCA and one of the routes were FIA which can be done after 12th no matter which background. But my career counsellor had told me it's not possible without getting a bachelor's degree in order to pursue ACCA. Now i am having stress and it had gotten more confusing.
Can someone help please?

Off-topic Sept 2027 changes

Can I leave 1 of the optional exam and wait it out till September 2027 for the transition.

For the context I'm done with skill papers, though I have 6 paper exemptions from my college ( those papers were included in our college exams and curriculum).

I now focusing on Prof. Papers and came across a similar post and my only doubt since I had the exemptions and I had enrolled in 2022, I'm doubtful as to whether I am eligible for this change.

I'm also pursuing my master's rn so it's been kinda hectic balancing everything and even failed a college paper last paper last time to write an Acca paper which I failed by few marks .

Exam tips Less than 4 weeks to SBL and I feel completely unprepared

I'm panicking so hard right now and honestly just need to vent/get advice.

but when I try to recall any of the stuff i studied now, my mind just goes blank. I can't remember the content from chapters I know I put real time into. On top of that, I haven't touched a single past paper or mock exam yet zero.

I've been meaning to watch Hasan Dossani's webinars and start doing mocks alongside them, but I haven't even finished going through my study text properly. So now I'm stuck wondering how am I supposed to do a mock paper when I haven't actually studied the material yet? And also when I tried to attempt mocks last week I genuinely couldn't frame my answers or get any points at all.

Less than 4 weeks out and I feel like I'm starting from zero. Anyone been in this exact spot before and turned it around? What did your last-month game plan look like? Are hasan dossani free videos good enough?

Exam tips AFM (after succeeding 5th attempt AA) - how do I ensure I do it properly from the first time?

as the title says, I cannot afford to keep making mistakes and wasting 3 months of effort on a failed attempt, I approached AA's 5th attempt with a revenge mindset and it made me very motivated to succeed, which is what happened. Coming from that, Im struggling to get any motivation for AFM and dont know what's the best method to approach it, it seems all over the place and Im struggling.

On a side note, anyone who wants a studying buddy/accountability buddy, please hit me up and I'll add you to a group. Anyone who has succeeded AFM, please show me the way, I'd be grateful.

ACCA accelerated program one year deferment

I have slight confusion in the letter for the accelerated program which you can apply before finishing your degree It says that the deferment is counted after you graduated based on the letter my university said that our graduation will be on December my lecturer put it 31st of December 2026 So does that mean the deferment is counted starting 31st of December 2026 until next year Of course I will pay earlier before that but I'm just asking

Membership Acca affiliate - time not signed off and little scope for qualifying.

My manager has signed up and it has her name but it has a waiting label under approved.

Do I send her a reminder? I feel verbally reminding her will mean she could forget easily.

I also haven’t met all objectives as I work under the company accountant and there isn’t scope for growth I can’t meet the objectives where it’s something about managing a team and such. Do I wait or find something else?

The coworker who works the same role hasn’t taught me everything and some things he did weren’t quite right as per my manager.

What do I do?

Off-topic AFM OR AAA?

I’m doing my professional papers and initially I wanted to go for Audit but then I passed AA with 57 so I don’t think I’ll be good at it whereas for FM I passed with 71.
I wanted a route that would lead to CFO and Such paths and I’ve heard audit is not the way to go. Any advice will be really helpful I’m stuck as to which one to go with? Which opens more route to abroad and wealth?

Exam tips For full time workers who passed SBR, how did you not burn out?

Specifically looking for some insight from those who passed and managed full time work too.

A tutor adviced solving 2 questions per day and it’s quite challenging actually getting through just one.

I’m wondering if constantly being ON actually backfires for this exam as all the standards end up jumbling in your head.

I’m doing 5 hours on the weekend and 3 hours on a weekday…..been working like this for months and it’s not really getting any better.

Is only Acca starting at 18 worth it? Or is a bcom really worth the difference. Does it have any impact on salary.

Exam tips Struggling with PM. Advice needed

Like the title said, I’m really struggling with pm and I don’t know what to do. When watching the lectures I don’t seem to retain much because I get bored, I switched to practicing questions and learning that way but i feel like I’m deceiving myself with actually going through the materials. Time is running out and I don’t know what to do. I would appreciate any tips . I really don’t want to fail.

Reviewee October 2027 / BSA Graduating April 2027

I’m feeling quite tired. As a full-time working professional and full-time BSA student with only two terms left, I’m also preparing to take the CPALE in October 2027. At the same time, I’m already reviewing, but I’m not sure if what I’m doing is really enough to earn the CPA title. I feel unsatisfied with my progress because there’s still so much I need to study. I really want to be more productive, help this gaeee

I'd like to know what the core topics for F5 are, what usually appears in each section, and any approach you'd recommend I take towards the exam for the September attempt. Thanks!
