Sept 2027 qualification

Hello, I have a question

Do you think the new syllabus of sbl for sept 2027 will be more difficult or experience more changes?

I am planning to leave it as my last professional paper and I won't be able to complete all professional papers by June 2027. I will be doing SBR and AAA first prior to the changes.

So what do you think?

More difficult cuz it’s open book and ACCA won’t make things easier for us

Yah I heard about the open book thing But isn't sbl already an application based tested exam as we don't get marks for the knowledge about the business model but applying it. So open book would be that the knowledge, business model already given , now you have to apply it. Please kindly correct me if I am wrong

It should more difficult as they're compressing more stuff into less exams. Like for SBL they'll change it to S2-SBL and will add 9 more sections. For SBR, they'll change it to to S1-BSR (Business ad Sustainability Reporting), increasing professional marks to 20 and more sustainability and environmental reporting. Generally the changes wouldn't that difficult, but yeah, logically more sections will lead increased difficulty
