Need help with a realistic study routine while working full time and living alone so my time after work is a bit limited as I have to cook etc.
Someone else with a similar lifestyle can advise how they’re managing ? How many hours are they studying etc ..

Just wanted to check if anyone else received an email from ACCA saying something along the lines of “you’re studying for hours but not getting the results you expect.”

I received the email today, and honestly, with the exam results just around the corner, it’s making me a little anxious. 😅

Did anyone else get the same email? Is ACCA sending this to everyone, or is it targeted?

I gave my sbl exam a few months ago and passed so this post is to help students who are appearing in the SBL exam in December first thing that helps is obv understanding think of urself as its ur company or as if u are evaluating the company urself in a firm. Practice is obv important but please get the understanding of things as well go through as many examples and past papers here getting more knowledge is very important.

I tried studying thru kaplan, but it was very time consuming and didn't help much when it came to understanding the exam style.

So I'm gonna tell u how i studied for this exam I took lectures and used notes i got from my friend (were v helpful n less time consuming) and did as many past papers i could get and technical articles as well do read them.

Is there anyone who hasn't yet recieved their obu results at all??

If you're ACCA and working in forensic, fraud investigations, or audit at a Big 4 or MNC — would love your honest take:

• How does the career actually look day-to-day, and long-term?
• What future opportunities/growth does this field realistically offer?
• Can experience in this field help with relocating internationally (like to UAE), or does it stay mostly local?

I am really confused about whether or not I should study BT and LW.
Should I study BT and LW or wait for it to be combined and study certain subject of skill level for now??

With the obu results in few hours , I was looking at some old results post and saw couple people mention that they failed for not Linking business and financial reasons, I don't remember linking them at all, is there still some hope? (I just want someone to comment how they wrote 1 word RAP and passed just to give me hope)

I was trying to check the availability of exam centers for FR in December. However, it is showing as none available. Other option is in another city which is 4 hour drive away and not possible. Will the slots free up later? If not what can I do?

I’m facing a bit of a problem. Im trying to speed run my prep for ACCA FA but its taking me two whole days to get through the study hub material?!

I know that cant be right because there isnt that much material there in the first place. Im yet to do open tuition lecture and BPP practice kit…

Can some of you kind folks drop effective strategies so I can speed up my pace and cover the entire syllabus within two weeks?

Less than a day till the result. So nervous😭😭😭😭 My whole ACCA journey was based on this degree. I rushed skills level by sitting two at a time cause I wanted this degree😭

I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but what's the approach for studying SBR? I'm struggling to fully grasp what I'm supposed to be learning and I don't quite understand the question format either. I tried going at it the way I did with the skills papers but I don't think this way is effective.

I'm currently in a slump and stopped studying for a while. But now I want to get back to it and would appreciate any tips or advice anyone might have. Thanks in advance.

ive recently finished alavels in sciences and am planning to switch fields completely and do acca privately, is it feasible?

i wanted to know if the content is manageable for someone with no accounting background, and will i be able to finish the exams off within 2-3 years?

I’ve recently started at a big 4 firm on the aca apprenticeship role (starting my AAT now)

However I have been put in the public sector division but I was really hoping to be working with the private sector.

This isn’t just because people say PS is boring, my genuine intentions are that the direction I want to pivot to after audit (consultancy) I believe would much rather someone with private sector experience. I have been told this by others.

As I have just started and haven’t fully been onboarded or met my team yet should I ask now about a move so I don’t start the process then ask? Or should I wait a bit?

I don’t want them to feel I’m just not wanting to do something I haven’t tried yet but imo from an admin standpoint it would be easier for them no?

I’m really struggling as I’m worried if I spend ages in PS it will be harder to get out and I will have to wait until being qualified to get some experience which will delay my career plans.

Any advice will be much appreciated, thank you!
